I like these vids a lot, but couple of problems with this vid I think: G2 was missing. Also, it might create confusion to say the cell is "resting" when not divding. Cells are extremely active things, (like muscle or neurons) even when not dividing. This needs emphasis as a broader and total understanding of the topic leads to better results.
Thank you so much... but I think interphase is not a resting phase is when the metabolic activity of a nucleus is intense....and you have not talked about G2
Using the information from the 2015 OCR book, in G2 we see cell growth and special chemicals ensure that the cell is ready for mitosis by stimulating proteins that will be involved in making chromosomes condense and in formation of the spindle.
yaa ?? in my revision guide it says nothing abt organelles in G1, and then it's in G2 that organelles divide. But in the video, it gives the impression that organelles fully form in only G1...?
