My favorite ironic little line is "Do bronies make art?". Because Gabriel Brown, Professor Chalk's singing voice is literally a massive brony. Like he got so big that he became friends with official MLP VAs and literally sung songs for the show and for Equestria Girls

Man seeing that list of indie games just put a big dumb smile on my face. As someone who has seen all of those games I can assure you that all of those games are absolutely worth your time (Okay maybe for Bendy it's more the fan works than the actual games but still) Here are all the games so you can see them more easily since the credits cover them a bit in the video. 4:50 - I love the fact that while they start talking about the creators that helped add further depth to FNAF, such as Tombstone...Tombstone's musical phrase 'Five nights at Freddy's - is this where you want to be?' is woven into the background music.

Towards the "Markiplier lit this fire" line, yes, Markiplier was one of the first (and best) content creators on FNaF and was mostly him and Jacksepticeye, who made it popular, but Mark, for his hilarious reactions, and skill, was (and still is), known as "The King of FNaF".

As you pointed out in the video, the song is from the perspective of an "outsider" to a fandom who is introduced to an amazing world. One of the things I like about this song is that it represents the community really well: cosplayers, musicians, artists, let's players, theorists; each being represented by a character in the video. The most incredible part of this is that ALL of the "FNAF Kids" are featured in Chalkeaters' earlier videos, most notably in the "Roll Out the Fallout", where all 5 of them are featured *in a single shot*! This song just radiates community, sharing love and happinness for things you enjoy, and the appreciation of communities both big and small. Upon first listen, this song and music video instantly became my favorite of all time.

3:36 crowbar to the knee, for those wondering, is likely a reference to the piemations video "5 am at freddys: the sequel", in which the progtagonist hits springtrap,in the knees, with a crowbar (also, some irony in Black Gryph0n's singing the line "do bronies make art" ifkyk)

I immediately fell in love with the song. As a brony, I will not be able to convey in one comment all the mass of creativity that a simple pony cartoon has produced. Art, animations, songs, books (oh my God, I can talk for hours about fan fiction titans, bigger and more interesting than most "classic" literature). It's great to watch this cycle of creativity in fandoms, sometimes you just need a push, and modern technology and society will do the rest.

Of course then the grind of reality kicks in and the fandom creativity cycle winds down to the level of slash fics and explicit artwork, and it becomes the time to leave the once-beloved universe behind while its good memory is still mostly untarnished in your mind, and it's time to move on to something else. Such is life.

@@SeanMirrsen I suppose? For me, still 80% of the books I'm reading now are incredibly large mlp fanfics that represent so many unique visions of the world.

@@SeanMirrsen "winding down" I mean yeah the 6,000 approved stories last year wasn't as many as their peak of 21,000 but it was 8000 when the show ended 5 years ago. The fandom still exists and there are really great fanfics still being updated.

@@dragonwaz I mean yeah, I get that, but for the most part it's quality turning into quantity. Of that number of stories, how many are explorative lore pieces? How many adventure fantasy series, how many full-fledged new universe crossovers or fantasy/sci-fi 'first contact' scenarios that aren't just an oblique front for oddball slash fiction? I don't even count romance fics against that number anymore, I get that it's a legit genre that's just not my thing, but take one look at the fimfiction frontpage and it's like looking into a modern teenager's idea of a library - and it's really rather disappointing. That's what I meant by winding down. The explosion of creativity at the outset, the constant exploration of genres, it's all wound down into the standard modern media type churn of the most common appealing topics, and of course the lots of smut that goes with it. If you'll want to find new exciting things, you'll have to look for another emerging fandom somewhere, because this one has settled into a routine it'll follow for the foreseeable future, unless something unexpected happens again.

Just as a fan of SB (game) thought I'd point out an interesting easter egg at 0:58 in the back is an Avali, feathered space raptors Which come from a really solid modded race for the game Starbound. Of course, might be wrong but I'm pretty sure~
