From a creator that does a lot of mtgo content I can tell you that these take A LOT more. I’m happy to finally have this channel and deliver people the content I love the most, paper magic! ❤
Agree to disagree lol but I respect your view lol but I’d stop watching if it was exclusively paper lol just sayin been playing comp modern in paper for a long time before I even tried mtgo lol but it’s just smoother and easier on the eyes
To Banana Cat's point... It's just different. This could never replace modo/arena content for me, I love your daily mtgo videos and I don't know what I'd do without them. I don't even play modern lol (my main jam is draft, plus weekly edh with my friends) but the excitement of watching you battle thru a league is something I'd never want to give up. But these videos are something totally different, it's like you went over to some guy's house to play Magic in the basement and holy 💩, Mengu and Pivo are there 😮😮😮 and you get to chat with them and watch them play a match. What an amazing special treat.
I also really enjoy the paper magic between two friends with such experience. Being able to hear the thought process on both sides is very educational. I understand it take a lot more time, and I sincerely appreciate your efforts!
Really enjoying the videos! Found the channel from Cardmarket, and I'm loving this trend of "beginner friendly" magic content. It's also fun to see a much more clean, pro level of play, your games vs Thoralf were some of my fave because of how fast and efficient the plays were, compared to the level of play I'm used to, so it's very cool to see more of that. Small suggestion: With the way the cameras are set up, Mengu is framed like he's on the right, facing towards the left, while Pivo is on the left facing right, but Mengu's deck title and hand get placed on the left, which goes against the 180 set up by those shots. For example at 4:40 because of the way the shot is laid out, it looks like Mengu is resolving a Crashing Footfalls. It might be worth having Mengu's deck and hand on the right in the future, so that it's clear who has which hand.
Wow these matches were very hard fought. Such good matches and were very close and very much back and forth, great content with great players. Love seeing pivo
Video was great, such a suggestion: Potentially adding some music throughout in the background? Low volumbe, not overpowering the voices, but coudl help with some of the silent moments!
Really like your new channel, paper games got some really good energy. I find the room/video just a little too dark but everything else is really good (video capture, hands, comments 👌)
I always thought you were saying Pibo, not Pivo. Nice to finally see him on screen. The quality has increased dramatically from the first video to this, can't wait to see more paper magic. It's so much easier to watch than mtgo content.
The style of editing that let me read the cards made me instantly sub. Been out of mtg for years, and the editing on this is the best I’ve seen recently, including tournament coverages
Great content as always Mengu, so excited for the future of this channel. One suggestion: Please don't put timestamps in the description! The number of games can spoil who's going to win etc.
the effort in those videos is very visible with a lot of paper content it's unclear sometimes what even the boardstate is. Here it is even clear what the cards in hand and other zones is. Love it
This is what I needed, been out of the modern scene awhile playing More pauper but I think I’ll throw my murkTide back together this got my juices flowing lol ❤️💙
One thing that might be good for these videos is some quiet background music. Edit: I realised that there is background music, but it is incredibly quiet.
Mengu, can I recommend getting bigger dice? Green is not the issue, they are cool. But for visual and production quality it will be in your best interest to get bigger dice.
Hi these vids are amazing, only issue I can see is the lighting is sometimes dark. I assume your already working on this but please keep making more content like this.
Hey Mengu and Tommy, I have a suggestion. The music is alright and I get why go for cr free stuff. I AM SURE there are loads of talented artists willing to let you use their music for a small plug in the description and a tiny box on top left listing the song name and band. Just a win-win suggestion.
Great video, i have a question at 36:00 shouldnt have been better for pivo tu play an edurance to block the channeler? It would have killed the channeler whitout dying and cleared your graveyard
Any reason at 36:00 to choose Subtlety over Endurance from Pivo's side? Unless I'm missing something painfully obvious, I feel Endurance was the right choice here, no? (Coming from a Murktide player so maybe I'm missing something!)
Hello Mengu! Fellow Murk player here! Very nice content! I have a question, though. Why didn't you go for turn 2 dash Ragavan and have a Spell Pierce open with the treasure provided? Is this risky by any chance?
