Back the day, traveled the world installing NMRI medical imaging systems. My chapman set always went with me for 5 years and some $35M worth of imaging systems installed. That was a long time ago but still have that set and a newer set both still work very well.
Time and Time again, I have searched for (in stores and on line) micro ratchet with metric bits. Everybody sells standard bits, either individually, or bundled with a kit. Only Chapman offers metric. And bloody good metric too. Most equipment service guys at Honda plants have these.
I live in CT and have never heard of you guys before. Thank you for putting actual hinges on your cases so they don't break off after you open them for the 100th time.
Just got a Master kit this past weekend and ended up using it for hours on all kinds of machine projects I did not think the tools would be needed for. Great USA-made quality at a fair price. Having seen these kits before through the years I knew the tools would be good but what was a big surprise to me was the ease of use of the master case. I can see and easily get metric and standard bits out and something as simple as case layout makes a big difference in time and frustration. I regret not buying a set when I first saw it 30 years ago!
is there a set with more diverse but selection? like jis, Philips, torx, Roberson, all in the same kit? I mean, handy people are already drowning in hex bits, so it would be nice to have added variety in a kit, or at least have separate bit only packs.
Hi Ted, yes, we have larger kits with JIS, Phillips, Torx (star) and Robertson, check out the links - Thanks! chapmanmfg.com/products/1000-mity-master-set?_pos=2&_sid=051a45b66&_ss=r&variant=31183691743297 chapmanmfg.com/products/master-kit-5575?_pos=1&_sid=fe4704c8f&_ss=r&variant=29568041484353
Yeah, it's pretty hard to take a Submarine under the South Pole. Because the continent of Antarctica sits there. BUT, the North Pole has no such obstacles.
I still have many tools from my USAF days in Thailand during the Vietnam War. I have the little yellow kit NO. 1316 with the offset 20 tooth ratchet. It consists of the ratchet, a #17 and #19 common/flat screwdriver bit, a #20, #33, #34 Phillips bit. Am I missing any bits and if so Can they be purchased separately to complete my set?
Hi Max, it sounds like you have a Frankenkit, the #33 and #34 don't come in the #1316. Here's a link to the #1316 kit chapmanmfg.com/products/1316-all-purpose-set and here's a link to our open stock bits chapmanmfg.com/collections/individual-parts. You can buy all of our parts individually! If you have any questions please feel free to call or e-mail me at joel@chapmanmfg.com. Thanks!
