I've seen a lot of incredible artists live, but nobody puts on a better performance than these guys. Amazing energy, you can tell they're exhausted by the end of their set.
Just got back from playing a gig with these guys....... I am so privileged to of had played with them as their opening act.......... They are fucking awesome!!!!!
@leadchariot I agree completely! I was kinda skeptical of the chaos at first (albeit interested in the energy) but after I saw them live my opinion took a whole light. it took me like three full days to recover from that show, mentally and physically.
@lesclaypoolthesecond It's not bad musicianship, it just sounds like it is because it's mathcore and that's what mathcore sounds like even though it's actually crazy, like the dillinger escape plan.
@ArunaKone1 Back To Back/They Faced Each Other/The Deaf Policeman/Die Interviewer (I Am Only Speaking In German)/Before There Was Atlanta, There Was Douglasville/
I'm surprised they were allowed to play a record store. Was there really no concern that they would destroy the entire classic rock section or something?
I'd disagree, performance wise I think they are inspired by a lot the same stuff. But the Chariot sounds a lot more like a mix between early Every Time I Die and Botch. Also, there way less tech than Dillinger focusing more on noise and aggression than writing songs that are rhythmically mind boggling.
cuz Dillinger was the first band to play chaotic and technical heavy music. they are actually quite different. Chariot is much more hardcore influenced and sounding while Dillinger is way more metal influenced and sounding. Dillinger isnt really the sort of band you can rip off, first cuz they are super unique second no one blatantly rips off a band that is unsuccessful. Dillinger was hardly a big band when Chariot started. Heck when Josh was in Norma Jean they were playing shows with Dillinger.
Maybe if they guy having a seizure with a guitar would actually play it well instead of trying to do backflips with it this would actually sound something like music.
@Schecter0011 yeah not a huge fan of the music though, just not my thing. Not that I listen to The Chariot either, but Rammstein doesn't come to Mississippi. The Chariot does and it's great. I hate metal, just love the show.
