You did a superb job of choosing performances, creating a great order for the tunes, and highlighting just how well the songs of this album (my favourite of their's) manifest in a concert setting!
Fellow Canuck here, who was turned onto the Charlatans by the great D.J.s with CFNY in Toronto.👍Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to their recent show. 😕
@@derekbaker3279 That's too bad, man, it was better than when they were here last time (2018?) -- it was cool to hear most of Between the 10th & 11th in it's entirety again (+ extras) -- and Tim's hair and "dancing" weren't as bad. 😄
It just hit me! This band is really driven by the bassist IMO and I don't know many bands like that other than the Faces. It really works for me, I love it. I'm not a musician, the drummer is awesome too. I wonder if its the drummer who allows the bassist to be great or vice versa or they just work well together.
@@steve_bal4 I bought Some Friendly when it came out and walked around in baggy clothes back around 1990! I really loved the Roses, Mondays and The Charlatans at the time but The Charlatans this day in age the band I come back to the most. They really reached their potential and most of the others didn't sadly. Anyway, it hits me like 30 years later just how good Martin Blunt was/is ha!
@@neilwhitaker6284 I agree 100.00% ! I have never come close to getting tired of their music, and IMHO, most of their tunes sound great when they play them live (unless Tim is having an off night..lol..)!
@@steve_bal4Continuing the thread. My favorite record of theirs in my all times. This inside out gets me off every fucking time. I can’t believe they never played live.
Oh mince xD j'ai eu une hallucination haha En regardant le visuel je me suis dit : "wteffe, mais qu'est ce que Patricia Kaas fait là ?! C Honte sur moi !
better than oasis, roses, mondays, carpets, blur (although they pushed the envelope on creativity) - and they just keep going - the aforementioned have 1 good album each - bar blur...
