The Chateau Diaries: AN AWFULLY BIG ADVENTURE!!!

So I'm trying to get this straight. There's Phillip from Lalande, Angelina and Phil, Phillip and Anna and then Anna and Ed and Miss Anna and Peter. Got the Michaels all figured out and the 3 Ians , pretty soon I'm going to need a cheat sheet.

Husband: when the kids move out, I'm getting another motorcycle Me: I'm going to Lalande

I love both chateaux. They each have their own charm reflecting their owner’s taste,

This Chateau is very beautiful with limited furniture not clutter...her girls are soo beautiful like little Princesses.

I like how different each chateau is. Some owners are more paint orientated in renovating their rooms and some are more wallpaper orientated. They are all beautiful.

Maybe Stephanie could check out Anna’s heating system as it’s so efficient?Imagine La Lande being warm in the winter!

Anna and Phillips chateau is stunning

When I arrived in France in 1982, I'd never heard the the Great Piaf. My French family listened to her on the radio every Saturday afternoon. What a national treasure.🇨🇵

I can't describe how grateful I am! I would never have thought that I would see my two favorite families in one video. I've been following the Chateau diaries for ages now, I can't even remember what was the first video I watched. Every new video brings so much joy to me, I'm forever grateful to Lalande family. As well as Anna and Philip, whose incredible sense of humor and taste won my heart right from their first video. The more I think of that, the more I realize that it's not only about your unique lives and the historic buildings. The true beauty lays much more deeper, and in your case it's ever-present in every aspect of your lives. This inner beauty is transmitted into the outer world. You are incredible people and it radiates in everything you do. I've been in a very dark periods of my life and you helped me to get through them. You help me to see the other side, the brighter side; you show me a new approach to all the hardships on my way. I'm forever thankful, Lalanders, Anna, and Philip! There's Michael's contribution as well, hehehehe. Thanks for sharing your inner beauty! If you ever feel down, please know that there's at least one person whose life became three thousand times better because of you. I remember a quote from one of the Chateau diaries vlogs, I think it was a fridge magnet or smth, "There are always flowers for those who want to see them." Ofc I heard it many times before, but that day it hit me too close to home. Thank you all for showing me that there are flowers! Thank you all.

Girl you are crazy! I have stayed up till 4 in the morning 1 time, and that was to finish my last essay of college. I hated every minute of it and my hands were shaking so badly by 4am that I couldn't type. How do you do all of this! You rock Steph!

Stephanie's face mask is very well coordinated with the colour of her room. Sometimes things work out so nicely!

Just what I want next to my macarons. A mouse. I love Marie. Her expressive face and hands on the headphones so funny. Last summer, the summer of Covid I lived in big tee shirts and boxer short, yep I was walking the dog in my pj’s. After discovering Stephanie and company I’ve really upped my game for this year. I actually have that Provençal print skirt Stephanie is wearing. My days of embarrassing my neighbor are over.

My favorite is the green room......It is so rich, it is comforting because of the lighting.... I'm a lady who doesn't like things so brightly lit...I like darker rooms, with a fire going, kind of moody, sultry, rich colors....I love the green room....and the bath...Oh My word, the tub is my cup of tea...all of it, I love it.....Love it so much.

Stunningly beautiful . Amazing to know even with the very high ceilings its also warm. Very good use of space as with your Chateau. So much nicer using the cupboards and wall spaces. As you said, rather than taking away the integrity of the rooms. Enjoy your mini break.

No need to compare and contrasts, b/c each old home has its own DNA and subsequent charms and challenges. I love Lalande above them all, big or small, high or low. Lalande is the only one to which I want to go. For me, it's not just the architectural grandeur, but the spirit of a place that makes you want to call it home (temporarily, short or long term). Lalande for me captures all that I want home to project. The rest are just businesses.

When you fell Redwoods they tend to shatter, like glass, so you need to lay out a bed of branches for the tree to fall on...

What a beautiful chateau! Love the claw foot tube in Stephanie’s bathroom, but the toilet paper holder is in rather a strange spot. 😀 I think as far as my style goes, I’m somewhere in between this place and LaLande. This one, though beautiful, is a bit sparse whereas LaLande is a bit much. Please don’t take this as a criticism, because I love both. Just personal taste.

Delighted that Stephanie is having a well earned break - a change is as good as a rest! Since subscribing to Anna and Philippe's channel I have thought that Anna sounds so similar to Stephanie, it is fabulous to see them together. Best wishes to all for future networking and friendship.

Such a majestic view of the house behind Dan at 5:30. I don't recall any other video showing the house at that angle. Its defensibility is both apparent and formidable.
