Btw, there is no more HEVI option. They got rid of it and instead introduced the Atom Amp 2, along with the Atom Dac 2. The new Atom Amp 2 is priced at $129, and is an absolute banger of a buy. It completely fixed the two things that the original had: -The Power: From 1W per channel, it now has a little over 2.6W per channel. -The Build: From plastic chassis, to an all metal chassis that can be engraved.
received my atom+ hevi yesterday, and so far it's great, I just wish it could output to the headphones and the RCA at the same time, then it would be perfection Edit: got in touch with jdslabs and they sent me the 2 sets of pins that need to be jumped, their support is honestly great
Im from the uk and even though I paid like wayyyy to much for shipping. I HAVE to try the atom stack 2. The support and ethos of the company is just too good not to support.
So close to picking one up, but $30 shipping to Canada is a big chunk of the overall price. I'm literally a 6 hour drive north of Boston... so why so much Fedex and UPS?!
Hello Z Reviews! Currently i have Schiit Magni 3 Heresy and Sennheiser HD600. Should i sell Schiit and get that JDS Atom? Feels like the Sennheiser´s are hard to drive...
Got this coming in tomorrow! Gonna be powering an HD560s for a day, then an HD8XX. Might get some 177X Go's eventually, but with the QKZ x HBB IEM's being so good I don't know if I'll ever need another bassy non-open back headphone.
its trying to compete to the Schitt Magni+ at the price, but doesnt have the same power output. how much cleaner of an amplification is it if even at all?
Rather, most entry level amps compete with Atom (check the release timelines)! We do not imitate. Power: Bigger numbers would be easy to achieve, but it's a silly race we generally avoid. Video rant coming soon.
UPS wants you to know when amazing gifts arrive at your door! 🎉 🎉 It's just the way we do it. Dirty hands ✋️ are just a part of the gig (although, it's a career and not so much a 'gig').
Would it be worth it to upgrade to the Atom+ Stack from the Micca OriGen G2? Bought the Micca from your video review way back when and have been rocking it since.
Review audeze maxwell people say it's good and you say you don't like gaming headsets but this gaming headset is from a audiophile headphone company so they have to be good
I own both and I much prefer the Atom +. I use it with HD 600 (300 ohms) and to my ears the Atom had better soundstage image 3D separation of instruments and a better natural timbre. The atom had plenty of power even at 1 watts it's very well design.

Because manufacturing in the US basically is non existent. It's cheaper to buy from China and have it shipped across the pacific on a boat, then it is to make it here and pick it up...
A lot of US-bound manufacturing is moving out of China to other countries in Asia like Vietnam and India. China's share of low cost imports coming from Asia to the US is about to be under 50% for the first time in a decade as US companies "reshore" in other parts of Asia and Mexico.
I bought one of these, and it didn't do shit worth the amount it cost. It sounded exactly the same as the IFI amp it was connected to. Solid state headphone amps are just snake oil products, tbf.
I think the JDS does bass better, but that's just me. I like the Schist stuff as well, but they definitely have a bit of a treble thing going on. I prefer the sound of the JDS Labs amps/dacs.
@@jamesbittle9789 Yes. Schiit’s new stuff tend to have a bit of peaky treble and less impactful bass. I have tried most of the desktop offerings from both companies. JDS Atom was actually my first headphone amp. I think it’s good for someone who just wants to buy one amp and be done with it.
