The cheapest Lego set I ever got was from Toys R Us several years ago. I found a Back to the Future Lego set, and decided not to get more figuring I won't be able to afford more. I went to the cashier who told me 3 cents. I had to ask him 3 times to make sure before I took it. Leaving, I still felt guilty of such a great deal. I still think that was their return fee. Never saw such a deal since.
“I look like a golfer, not gonna lie” I mean you are a Florida Man after all! When Florida actually got cold weather for a change for Christmas... *”Wait, that’s illegal.”* For a brief moment, Florida was a part of reality. 😂 You have such an amazing Costco with all those sets, if only mine was this great. You hit it big with the deals there. Ryan may be the Lego whisperer, but Costco is the Ryan whisperer because they sure reeled you in with these deals
I feel like this is one reason I don't rate lego collectors. Bulk buying reduced sets means people who were potentially less well off, now can't buy the cheaper sets since you bought them all. What is the purpose of buying multiple obi wan sets, when 'poorer' families who wouldn't typically afford lego can't now, because you depleted the store's whole stock of lego. Just cause you can doesn't mean you should.
@@nathanielevans5409 I don’t think a poor family would be able to shop at Costco. Yeah, they have some pretty good reduced prices, but the catch is that you have to pay for a monthly membership at Costco in order to buy stuff from there. Believe me, there’s a reason why Costco doesn’t get as many customers like Walmart and Target does, and it’s because of the membership thing. But also, Ryan isn’t going to be building all of those sets for himself. Some are for army building, and some are for give aways. Meaning some people, because of Ryan’s giveaways, can get those sets for free. And it’s not like he bought out Costco’s entire stock of LEGO sets. When he went back, Costco was still pretty stocked, even with all of the sets he got.
@@jaydonmagan4694 oh ok I didn't know that tbf, I'm from the UK, I still think that collectors bulk buying sets just to resell them at inflated prices is quite selfish, lego is still a toy targeted for children, just don't take advantage and be less greedy imo
I revoke my comment for AskMandR about Costco pricing having to do with the monthly charge… How are they not losing money on this?! Those prices are crazy!😮
The predecessor of Costco was Price Club which opened in California in 1976 (Price Club would end up merging with Costco in 1993). The first Costco in the US opened in 1983 in Seattle, and then it expanded to Portland and Spokane that same year. Their first headquarters was in Seattle but opted to move to Kirkland just east of Seattle in 1987 (hence their Kirkland products; their current headquarters is in Issaquah which is still within the Seattle metro).
Want to know why Costco pizza is so good? It's because of a ROBOT! This magical machine evenly distributes their delicious sauce on the pizza dough. Thanks to the handy robot, Costco has streamlined its pizza process to make it as efficient (and irresistibly delicious) as possible. First, they make sure to give the pizza dough time to rise before they press it into pies. Next, it goes to the pizza robot for an even layer of sauce. After toppings are added they put it in the oven, which evenly heats the pizza from all angles (in only six minutes!). And, to ensure that it’s always fresh, any pizza that isn’t sold within an hour gets replaced with one straight out of the oven
Best Lego deal I got was from Toys R Us several years ago. I picked up the Back to the Future Lego set. I couldn't find the price. I skipped out buying other items I wanted since I figured I would be paying quite a bit. I took it to the register, and the cashier told me 3 cents. I asked him 3 times, figuring that had to be a mistake, maybe return to factory price, but the cashier insisted 3 cents, so I took it at that price, feeling a bit weird leaving the store with it. Great set.
I found discount sets at my local store aswell, we never have star wars sets on sale, usually they even have a sign saying discounts dont include star wars lego. They had the snowtrooper battle pack for 8€ and razorcrest microfighter for 4€ with everything else sold out
I went to Sam’s Club the other day and they had the Ironman Armory set and Dumbledore’s Office for $18. Dang this video hurts to watch though lol. My Costco has absolutely nothing anymore 😢
Why on earth does this happen with toys in America. In England you won't see anything EVER go below 50%. Just why. Most supermarkets don't even have toy clearances.
Wow ! I wish we had those insane bargains on Lego here in France 😍! Especially on SW sets...so amazing. Jealous guy I am...smart mode of yours ! just subscribed btw 😀
i would love to buy out ninjago crystal sets and takeaway noodle shops 3 in 1, like i could make many wonderful modular builds with many noodle shop and build crystal army with crystalized sets (as got 10 spare crystal warriors in spares for army building but would like bigger army also)
Hi MandR, I was just wondering where you get all of your amazingly cheap online ordered from, I have been wanted to do something like this, but cant find the right prices.
