Its on fishing that is a good point, but when you walk a frog it rolls slightly, so paint job could make a difference

Duh. When your walking the dog the side to side action, the frog rolls a bit. When a Bass is 15 feet away he doesn't see directly underneath. He sees it from the side...... Scenario # 2 when you cast to a limb and you jump. Or dangle for bit making the frog look like it fell from the tree. Colors and type make a huge diff

Patrick K I don’t fish frogs as reaction baits. If i were to fish a topwater reaction bait, i would probably throw something like a WP or a spook, something with trebles so the fish gets hooked even if it swipes at it. White, black, and chartreuse are the main colors to use for frog fishing. I fish the slowly over lilly pads and on the edges. I give the fish time to observe the lure but it can’t see the top color so it doesn’t really matter. Pick up black or white based on the cloud cover. If it’s overcast, obviously pick up the black one and if it’s bluebird skies and sunny obviously pick up the white one. Pick up the frog that contrasts with the sky the best. I didn’t mean to write an essay but i hope this helps.
