This video’s purpose is mostly just me trying to build up my Nest Egg world building a bit more. It’s not as polished as I’d like, but I really just wanted to start bouncing some ideas about what kind of items would be stored in the vaults- and to practise my character design a little more!✨
I'm honestly very curious as to what had been omitted during the interview by the Chessmaster & I kind of get the feeling that the last rule had something to do with how the demon had reacted, because it would be technically cheating if the board was locked up.😅
Absolutely love the image this conjures of our poor little thief slaving away writing these logs. The world you've built here is really amazing I love it
Oh this is so cool! The sort of “case file” format of the video, giving us details about client interviews, who knows about the deposit, and the vault design really make it feel like a mystery is right at our finger tips. When I first heard the premise of the story, I assumed it’d be more like a workplace shenanigans type set up, but this opens so many more possibilities! I definetly think the chessmaster is hiding something, maybe he’s being blackmailed? Either way I’m definetly intrigued and excited to find out
Sweet little addition to the nest egg, love the detail and descriptions about the current chess master and the hint about them stating it shouldn't invoke the wrath of the demon, them being quite calm in a familiar environment and then the opposite occurring not too long after is really neat
Bird and chess symbology = amazing _!!_ I love your the building of your world, it look cozy at first but have an darkness lurking that goes terrifying the more you look.
aaaaaaa this is SO COOL!! The security footage?! The outfit design?! I LOVED this one. The Nest Egg is so well thought out and cool and I think this video is my new favorite in the series
It’s awesome to see what the vault actually stores! Cursed items galore. Love the almost, magical SCP vibes (not to equate your work to another’s, part of the reason I like your work so much is it’s originality). Even better that it is its own open-ended story and builds up the world outside the Nest-Egg!
Listening to your world-building has been a delight as scrumptious as your concept art! I do wonder if the entity in the board needs to feed or is just trying to get back to its nation so that the games can continue. Either way, that little penguin's got it coming! I'll be eagerly waiting for what's next!!
I imagine this as SCP mixed with night at the museum . Your building eats so good and i hope we get more inisght on maybe like cleaners and upkeepers, gardeners or just small roles in the egg! plz dont die yet your world building is to good
It sounds like the current chess master might have cheated to win his game, perhaps that’s the cause the demons agitation? RU-vid randomly sent one of your videos into my recommended but I’m so glad they did, your creativity is insane!
This is fascinating worldbuilding! I'm curious about which birds represent the different chess pieces. I know the King is a Kingfisher and the Rook is a Rook (lol)
Wow I absolutely love the world building for this project it so cool and interesting. I love how ur drawing like have this cool vibe to it that matches the story. I really hope this can be made into a game or some type of visual book!
The Nest Egg both feels rich enough to want to explore through it while equally primed for both interwoven and free standing stories. Edit- I hesitate to mention scp because it often kind of gets used as a backhanded comparison but I really love the range of storytelling built around a central theme and I see that potential in this. The sturgeon series from Dusklight radio also comes to mind, which the (main) author is actually running a tabletop game in universe. Both are horror but this also gives me studio ghibli vibes where it could easily be horrifying moments in the whimsical. Did not mean to write a paragraph but art, fantasy and audio stories are all big loves of mine.
At first I thought the Chess Master didn’t want to be usurped by another upcoming successor, which is still probably it. But now I’m thinking he cheated to win, and he has to get rid of the board so he doesn’t get killed by the demon
Technically just locking up the board could be considered cheating, with no one being able to be able to challenge The Chessmaster if the board was in a hidden location & far away from the Island that it originally came from it might've provoked the demon.😅
This is so cool!!! I think this world would be good for a comic or show series cause of the world building and character designs. Though, that's just me wanting to know everything about this world lol.
1:31 Okay so I just took my appointment piece and played it off the board on my side. Suddenly it appeared back in the place it started which happened to be the place another piece was. Now they have become one. This bored looks nice but it's hard to play with.
I love all your videos! I've been inspired by your storytelling as you create your characters and environment. Although I have little talent in storytelling and 3D blender, hearing you tell your story gives me the strength to try
