Monarchies actually work but people are so focused on the lifestyles, they associate them with those celebrities/ millionaires/ billionaires (usually American) behaving very selfishly (no names but you will work it out).
@@visiiibalyou can absolutely blame the queen. They have been very vocal. They did not want this at all. She did not even bother to call them to tell them. The decision was just delivered to them. They have made interviews and it was widely debated.
A couple of years ago my friend and I went cycling running in the forest near Marselisborg Castle (their summer residence) in Aarhus. A runner passed us at a bridge and my friend slipped and fell over. It was not the other runner's fault but still he profusely apologized and asked if my friend was ok. Later we realized it was Prince Christian. He was so kind and (and TALL, lol). While it's not uncommon to see the royals in my area in summer it was still nice. I didn't make the connection at first because usually the Crown Prince Frederik is surrounded by body guards when he runs.
I'm from Sweden I must say that Mary ticks all the boxes , elegant,stylish, beautiful , intelligent woman,God loves her.i wish her and Fredrik and children the best future.

You should look how many of the Europeans royal houses are catholics Because there are only 2 royal houses which are Catholics (Spain and Monaco) the rest is evangelical or protestant
Well, they will never have a chance to get to the throne, so why on earth make such a fuss about a title? The Queen made the right decision, and they'll thank her for it one day, just like Zara and Philip, Princess Anne's children, thank their mum for not allowing them to be princess and prince. Being a prince comes with big responsibilities, you can't just do whatever you want whenever you want. Now these handsome spoiled young men are free to pursue their shallow careers in modelling and their lavish meaningless lifestyle, which they might not have been able to do with those royal titles.
Agreed....the children get their titles, but not the spouses or their children, and if by some horrible incident and they died and the brother did have to step up, then his children get the Prince/Princess titles...King Charles should follow suit!!
This is my introduction to the Danish Royal Family -- hard to believe but American media doesn't give much attention to Royals in general. I'm duly impressed and all the more astonished by Harry & Meghan's decision to abandon the British throne. For HOLLYWOOD! Where they're not accepted. They could have had amazing, rare, historic, international lives. Based on their situation in California, they turned out to be pretty boring..

Prince Fredrick is so handsome I remember watching his and Mary's wedding and he was so handsome he doesn't seem to age .Prince Fredrick and Princess Mary are such a beautiful couple and their children are also beautiful.

The Italian royal family no longer exists. These people just live off the glamour of the past, and without having worked or earned anything yet still are given so many privileges by other royals just by the fact that they were born lucky. It makes me sick and all royalty should be outlawed as a crime against humanity at international law. It’s very wrong that certain families are handed out all power and prestige and everyone else has to suffer, work and be slaves for life to support their lavish habits. What for? Humans need to find a better solution or model for governance. An elected monarchy combined with a president could work but that monarch should not be living in a palace but an ordinary residence and not funded lavishly by the state. Their role should be purely symbolic and they should Not own jewels or great wealth. It should just be a symbolic role and not passed down agnatically. That is the way to go for the future of the world. Get rid of these bloodsucking, evil, reptilian royal families around the world.

I think queen Margrerge 2 made the right desision, when she took the princly titles from her youngest sons children… because then Frederik wont have to do that to his brothers children later…. And we are a very small country so 8 princes and princesess is to mutch for a small and modern monarchy so she did the right thing
I can't imagine why they would choose to live in the US rather than any number of other countries that have far better, safer environments and much happier people.

They stated, publicly, that they didn't understand why their Grandmother would do such a thing. This is easily verified online, in both written and live interviews.

@parisalan1 I think not. She's always looked out for her peoples best interest as their queen. They will not be working royals and will have careers of their own. I'm sure she felt the people shouldn't be financially responsible for them as adults. She loves her grandchildren, but her role as queen is separate from that relationship.

Her majesty Queen margrethe removed the titles because sge felt quite rightly that they are so remote from the succession that they shouldn't use their titles to gain favours . She is right amd she's much loved by us her subjects we even had a referendum and chose her to heir apparent she reigned fir 52 years and stepped down so as to enjoy her final years and to see her beloved son asend the throne. The opposite, in fact. Nicolai, one of queen Margrethe’s grandsons had starred in commercials and advertised his royal title while earning money from it. This is strictly NOT allowed for royals. By removing his royal title he became eligible to earn money from advertising without misusing a royal title. She did the right thing. No royal house allows commercial use of their titles. Princess Martha of Norway had already relinquished her HRH title in the early 2000’s for the exact same reason. This is also why queen Elizabeth did not allow the sussexes to use Sussexroyal as a brand when they left the UK. Why do you feel family branches not in direct line to the throne should keep prince and princess titles anyway. Now, only the heirs and children of a monarch keep royal titles. That’s as it should be, imo.
This is a good looking down to earth royal family - Denmark is the oldest continuous European monarchy. What exactly do you find not impressive and compared to what? The info in this is out of date. Prince Joachim is in the US to serve as Denmarks official military attaché not because his mom stripped his kids of their titles which btw they were due to lose anyway upon their marriages. Crown Prince Frederick besides being gorgeous is a Frogman-the Danish equivalent of a Navy Seal, which is way more impressive than the tiny bit of military service most other royals have done. Most royal watchers find this family very impressive and they are often cited as the “favorite” royal family.

All royals cost the tax payers money for their upkeep. At least the Danish royal family has avoided the major scandals that have rocked the rest of royals. To me and I’m sure others-that alone is impressive.
