DW, when are you guys going to stop lying about Xinjiang The governor of Xinjiang is a Ughir. His name is Erkin Tuniyaz. Many of the members of his cabinet are Ughirs too. Many police officers in Xinjiang are Ughirs. Most PLA servicemen stationed on Xinjiang are Ughirs. Many civil servants in Xinjiang are Ughir too. I have friends for all over the world who have gone to Xinjiang. Americans, Canadians, British, Ghanaians, Colombians, Germans. None of them saw any oppression or genocide of Ughirs. They all saw a a vibrant place full of life, development, growth and prospering. Last year over 126 million tourists visited Xinjiang. People from all over the world. Xinjiang is open for anyone to see. Stop lying, slandering defaming China and Xinjiang with utter lies. Nobody believes these genocide lies anymore. Your government claims there is genocide in Xinjiang, but argues thst there is no genocide in Gaza. Have you people no shame.

The post-WTO entry celebration is over. For years both sides operated on faulty assumptions. The West thought that trade would lead to a more democratic China. It didn't (at least not as they expected). China thought that as it grew trade relations and economic clout, that it would get respect and that other powers would somehow turn a blind eye as they expanded their regional domination. They too were disappointed. The honeymoon is over. Talk about "decoupling," "friendshoring" and "de-risking" are fun talking points, but the relationship of mutual reliance is still there. There may be realignment, but those who expect an abrupt rupture of ties are also going to be let down. It's time to just go to the post-honeymoon phase of the relationship.

According to the Wall Street Journal: The United States was the biggest beneficiary of the Russia-Ukraine war, with industrial output increasing by 17.6% and a large amount of funds being transferred from Europe to the United States. But these are not enough to rebuild a complete American industry At this time, U.S. allies need to make sacrifices, they need to be completely de-industrialized and transferred to the United States, and funds also need to flow to the United States. This means that the United States will help U.S. allies make decisions for any reason.
