I traveled to rural China to meet up with the most prolific drinker in China Follow The Wonton Don! IG: thewontondon twitter: @donniedoesworld FB: / donniedoes Barstool: www.barstoolsports.com/bio/62...
By shaking the beers (and Fanta) he is releasing a lot of the carbonation so it’s more flat and therefor doesn’t make him feel as bloated. 1000 IQ play by the peasant king.
Traveling across the world to a totally different culture just to meet a man legendary for his booze talents and get absolutely smashed with him. This is the kind of international understanding and friendship we need.
True. So you can see how nonsense and deceive politicians is. And how shit is their lie that they spreading around the world. Ppl can totally just sit together and be friend like this
There was politics involved his government told him to not let people call him the king when he was about to bow down to him he stopped himself from being in big trouble
Notice when he mentioned the government official telling pangzai to stop making videos. Just shows that the government are grumpy assholes who need to learn to live a little.
Government and politicians are necessary for the world to thrive idiots... M a local politician, a government... I know we are necessary cuz of the work we do to help u fools and decide things for u..
@@derekdragon4804 yeah.. like wage wars for profit, bomb children, use religion as a weapon, embezzle public funds, run prisons for profit, criminalize weed while enjoying taxes from tobacco and alcohol sales, making education and healthcare impossibly expensive, turning a blind eye to elite pedophiles and interfering in other countries.. Right? By the way, don't talk down to us. We elect you to work for us. You do not rule over us.. it's not a kingdom. It's a democracy, and you serve us. 🖕🏼😎🖕🏼
As a Chinese born in Heibei Province, this is a typical way how we treat our guests. We offer a ton of drinks and be humble and sharing all the time. Drinking is our culture and an important way of socializing. Having said that, we are seeing this kind of old school socializing less and less. People nowadays are getting more and more individualized. Someday we will probably become more and more like New Yorkers.
Inevitable that people become more individualist as education goes up. This is intrinsically correlated. When people become smarter they have more opinions instead of coming into a group
As you are from this province, I assume you are familiar with the Chinese and local traditions. I was really wondering during the video, if guy from USA did anything that was like offensive or something that is normal in western culture but not in Chinese culture (besides the bowing on his knee, which was quite obviously inappropriate)?
18:12 This man is genuinely one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever seen. His humility is so genuine that he treated your deference, as though you were stepping off a cliff.. God damn, he makes a really strong case for throwing a few years of sobriety away.
11:00 Correct translation: He originally wanted to challenge the Guinness World Records, but the official told him that Guinness had cancelled the drinking record, so he had to give up
Yeah no idea how they managed to mess up the translation that bad, like how did they get government officals and firewall from him talking about Guinness? Guinness as a rule don’t do alcohol related challenges because if anything bad happens the pr would be even worse for them since they are a beer company.
The Wonton Don You GOTTA make Barstool pay to fly Pangzai out and party at Barstool HQ2! That would be fucking awesome. You could even fly me out too! That would also be Great footage, just Sayin!
The Wonton Don did you pregame for a few weeks before this to get your tolerance up? When I go on vacation with friends I start drinking heavy a few days before so while they’re passing out I’m still partying.
@Nij Jin Alcoholic is someone who depends on alcohol daily and cant live without it. I cant imagine this guy going sober for a while. He is an alcoholic
@@diegoserrato4016 he can our asses at drinking, and he can probably just straight up kick our asses if he wanted to, but he's far too wholesome to ever do that
Being an expert in drinking, he may have already known about this technique. It’s just a hunch. But the internet reaches all the way over there so just maybe.
Pangzai is an experience. He’s so pure yet so bad ass. The balance is otherworldly. He can drink anyone under the table WITH STYLE, he can cook, an amazing family man, breaks bricks with his bare hands, shares inspirational proverbs, spreads positivity, and gives back to his community. THEN, has the audacity to nail an American beer chug better than an American! All of this with finesse. KING!
This is the type of person you meet and just makes you love life. Not because of the beer or tricks but the humbleness and hospitality. Miss people like that.
I've spent five years learning about China and this should be compulsory education for the West. Chinese people are really humble and generous and kind and fun to be around. It's unfortunate that our governments are rarely a reflection of the very best we have to offer.
This man is a FUCKING LEGEND!!! His tolerance for alcohol is godly and he is the coolest, most humble man on earth. I hope he achieves fame on the internet.
petedawg111 you do realise not a single Aussie drinks fosters right? We sent it over there as a bit of a joke but you lot loved it so we keeped sending it
Pangzai is such a kind hearted guy, this has to be donnies best video. Among my circle of college friends, I’m the guy who’s always looking to chug/shotgun a beer. Thanks to pangzai, I’ve incorporated the tornado into my repertoire. Upon the recent discovery that 32oz glass bottles of Busch and Natty are $2.39, I now tornado beers a quarter-gallon at a time. In the spirit of pangzai I extend my love and best wishes upon everyone who sees this ❤️
Dude, this guy is awesome! Don is a good friend as well. It reminds me of when i used to hang out with all my foreign friends from Europe and asia that come for the summer to work. Some of closet and most personal convos ive had in my life.
I practiced drinking a lot as well in my youth. Not by choice, it's just what you did EVERY SINGE DAY when not training in the 82nd AIRBORNE DIVISION. The most fit group of Alcoholics I ever served with.
True that. In India, after drinking the most famous dialogue that goes around in the pack is “tu mera bhai hain”. It translates to “you are my brother”. I believe that’s what everyone says across the world, or at least the emotions are same.
@@tamalbhowmick4079 also the famous dialog after finishing all the bottles , “I am not drunk yet , Let’s go and get another bottle from the liquor shop. “
@Jack Mechak I wouldn't say that portnoy is a douche, but he does hold him back. Portnoy should recognize that Don is really one of the only ones on barstool that actually produces content that is worth watching, and promote it a lot more. Portnoy has a large following and would definitely be able to attract more people to watch Donnie's content, especially because it is so hidden. Like I have been following barstool for like 2 years and as of last week I didnt even know he existed
The word “peasant” has different connotations in English compared with Chinese. In the latter, there’s a certain strength or fortitude associated with it.
LOL this is one of the most wholesome content I've seen in a while. But notice how serious he got when Donnie tried to kowtow? There's an old Chinese adage "there's gold under a man's knees." In Chinese culture, the only time it's appropriate for a man to get on their knees is when they're in front of their elders (parents or grandparents) or in the old days, the emperor. Kowtowing basically means getting rid of your dignity.

I´ve been to China recently. Once you break the ice, you understand how friendly are the people over there. So many epic meals and drinks with everybody, from "peasants" to "big bosses". Mr Pangzai is no exception!
I don't even drink alcohol or smoke cigs, but this video brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful man Pangzai is. And what a wholesome friendship. I applaud you both.
