This was one of my mom's favorites !!!! This was from an American Bandstand show in 1958, but was a hit the Chordettes in 1954, the year my parents married 🤣. If you can Qofy look up the video of the Stroll it's bandstand Mashup of people trying to dance to it 10 years later in 1968 from when it was a hit in 1958....great song & great video
I don't think I've ever seen a more heartfelt reaction! The Chordettes also did a lot of a capella stuff (singing without music) thrre of the best songs the Chordettes ever sang A Capella were 'Shine on Harvest Moon' , 'The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi' and 'When Day is Done'. Whenever I hear this song I think of Halloween. But when I hear the 'Yes?' part, I think of Bea Arthur on the Golden Girls. Her voice was deeper than the man's in the video. I love this song. Do Lollipop!! Check out some Andrews Sisters too. They're a little bit earlier and more swing style (1940s as opposed to 1950s), but they also had sensational harmonies.
