I like how "Church Tradition" was mixed in here with the flash-forward: Mary was said to have lived out the rest of her days in a cave in Gaul (France) and it appears that this scene insinuates that this might be a refuge for Christians on the run as well as a make-shift Church.

I wonder if the disciples knew how important their writings would be to the rest of the world

I think that we are all chosen. Chosen to love one another as He did and told us to do the same.

And Mary Madaladelen scene of explanation of her throghts and dreams on your parchment as she recalls her darkness of a living death of tormented from illnesses and evil intensions of others yet she felt Jesus light presence she was not alone. Thats very deep spiritual recall as she was changed by Jesus when He met her at the tavern. And spoke of how He knew her name . She realized it must have been Him . The revelations cMe to her while living in this cave . This was definitely a beautiful explanation. Yet profound to my soul . And in spirituality as well. . I could definitely relate to past experiences itgat happened in my own life as well. So yes so encouraging and strong and spirit building . Well Done scenes! As i coould understand Thomas's feelings as well. Strengthen in faith to continue to believe in faith a difficult trial to overcome and understand in time heals . As well as miracles happened as well. So awesome in The Chosen. I had my tissues ready as well. Drama yet with Gods special touch with His Son Jesus's life story being put in action in entertainment way yet only your spirit can know truth . And revelations also . As we are all individuals. A good friend of mine once preached a sermon about Lazarus called "Dead, Defeated and Dangerous." Lazarus was dead and Jesus resurrected him, when he walked out of the tomb, he still had on his burial clothes so he was defeated. But once people heard about him, he was dangerous to the Pharisees because he was walking living proof of the power of Jesus.

THE STORY OF LAZARUS IS FOUND IN JOHN CHPT 11, THAT'S WHY IF YOU NOTICE, ONLY JOHN IS TAKING NOTES AT THIS POINT. BEAUTIFUL!!!

♥ I'm in my 50s and I believe The Chosen is the most meaningful television show in my lifetime.

When my 14 year old daughter, Jennifer was killed by a drunk driver in 1998 NC, I asked the Lord, 'Why.' My thoughts said, 'You are God and you know why you took her home. I don't understand but I trust in you and know you have her.' I was blessed to have a dove upon the wire above where we found her body, it sat there for three days. I remember the Holy Spirit entering me on my left side (significance of left side?) and the peace that came. Mourning with peace is very ... no words. A week after I heard her audible voice as I showered, she said, "Mom, remember me the way I am now." I thought to myself, 'How are you now? oh, you're with Jesus!' God allowed her to speak to me, and those words have brought me through the hard times over these past 26 years. Other miraculous things happened, too much to mention here. Our God lives and reigns above all and he will do according to his own will, and we must trust him and continue to look at the big picture, eternity with God. Holy is the name of the Lord Jesus the Christ.

Thankyou Thomas the apostle you stayed with Jesus. Because of him India is saved..

FUN FACT: Lazarus, the man with 2 graves. One in Bethany, the other in Larnaka, Cyprus. After Jesus' resurrection, he helped the Apostles to spread The Gospel as the evidence of body & spirit resurrection. He had to run away from Judea because there was a plot from the Jews who rejected Christ to kill him. Lazarus ran away to Cyprus & met Barnabas who was the leader of The Church there. After some time, Barnabas & Paul appointed him to be the leader of The Church in Kition (ancient name for Larnaka) in Cyprus. Early Christian tradition said that Lazarus never smiled after his resurrection because he was worried about the unredeemed souls he saw in Hell. Lazarus lived for 30 years after his resurrection. His 2nd & final grave was discovered in Larnaka, Cyprus, with a inscription: "Lazarus friend of Jesus." His relic is still available in The Church of St. Lazarus in Larnaka.

When Mary (Lazarus's sister) came running out and wept at Jesus's feet, just destroyed by the loss of her brother, it broke me. I wept with her. What an incredible piece of acting. I believed her grief in my soul. Well done.

I appreciated the shift to the future with Mary and Matthew. Speaking about Little James being persecuted and murdered. Bits of foreshadowing of what is to come. Of what it meant to be a follower of Christ.

Best episode yet. I lost my brother three years ago tragically. I prayed with all my might for him to be ok before we knew that we had lost him. Worst day of my life. But I never lost my faith. I didn’t understand it, just like it’s said so much in this episode, but I continued to trust my Lord and my God…my Everything. Life is now, bitter, intermingled with the sweet, all the time. But the sweet is that, my brother, Erik Peter, loved the Lord with all his heart…and so do I. So we will see each other again. Without that Hope, I don’t think I could find a way. But Jesus made a way and I am so eternally grateful.

For me, the hurt that Thomas feels is very relatable. How many have lost a loved one when we have prayed and begged for their lives only to mourn them and wonder why WE could not have our prayers answered. Thomas watched as Jesus wept, but he did not understand that we all suffer at times yet God never abandons us to this world. A very powerful episode indeed

The grief of Jesus was so painful to see then ever because now I am so much more aware that he wasn't just son of God but also very truly human. He was grieving because he was human and understood pain and fear. And the fact that he still compelled to his father's will even with those human feelings shows he also is truly the son of God.

In India we have idols that people worship, when we talk about trusting God with Faith and worshiping Him in Truth abd Spirit it sounds absurd for them....i guess this is the very reason that Thomas had to go through trusting in our Lord Jesus without seeing....probably he'd have preached his part of the story of not believing in the resurrection until He saw the Lord in flesh and bones and that part where Jesus says Blessed are those who do not see yet believe, i took it seriously and i believed in Jesus because of this verse, as i too was a Hindu needed something to see and worship it was a difficult thing for me yet Our Lord Jesus made it so simple for me. Now when i close my eyes i see Him through my Spirit as Bright light....as in Him there's no darkness 😊

This really hit home on the deepest level at this stage in my life, questioning Jesus but still with great respect and love, with so many emotions. Thank you.

My heart is racing during this scene. I understand Thomas's questioning him. This is sooooooo heavy. His thoughts are not our thoughts nor his ways our ways. His timing is not our timing. HE is a healer though and will comfort you in times of need and not understanding why, I know this from personal experience. This soooooo gooood.

Shortest verse; “Jesus wept.” I knew it was coming and yet balled like a baby when He wept. His crucifixion is going to be so.. so.. very hard to watch 😞.

Thomas has honestly hit a sensitive spot for me, i dont even know why but anything thats got to do with Thomas crying and i literally sob, for all the times i've ever cried for the chosen its been like one or two tears, but Thomas's reaction to Ramah dying made me cry actually, for like 5 minutes, and Thomas falling to the ground after Lazerus came back to life got me so hard

My whole body shook when watched the scene that he called out Lazarus and he came out of the cemetery. Im thinking how it would be the deep pain, tension, surpise, shock and all those emotions there and just witnessing one great miracle of God. It terrifies the human soul. Oh our creator that we worship is just unimaginable. Im so grateful i found him.

Watching the Chosen always touches me because I feel like the disciples do. Often, I question "why?" When my husband died, I was angry. I knew that God could have healed his heart, and he would have lived longer. He was only 46. Our kids were 6 and 10 years old. It's still hard, but I have to accept that God's ways are not our ways.

This was a sad episode for me. I’ve been a believer for over 40 years and to remember our Savior wept, was crushing. He was acquainted with grief. I am ever thankful for Him loving me enough to die for me. I don’t deserve and yet He calls me and wants me. I am very thankful for this show and how it is bringing His story to many who are lost and encouragement to those of us who walk with Him now. What a gift! God be with those who write, behind the cameras, those who act and all others. May God move in their hearts and guide them in the next few seasons. They will be very hard seasons. Prayers for everyone.

Family, please just Eat the meat and leave the bones. I saw someone say that Christ never denied anyone who needed help. How do you know?? You weren't there. And the fact that everyone's prayers don't get answered even to THIS DAY is evidence that it happened even then. My husband fasted and prayed for the healing of his parents during covid.....YET THEY BOTH DIED WITHIN 5 DAYS OF EACH OTHER. My husband was Thomas, but now he's healing and trusting the Lord's sovereignty. This show is MONUMENTAL. God Bless the creators.

I am 18 years old and i’m from Dallas, TX, I love Jesus Christ, his story is the greatest story ever told, he died for our sins, performed miracles, talked in parables. Jesus was a very smart man who was humble, humorous and kind, wise and sinless. The only way we can get to heaven is to grow our relationship with Jesus Christ, repent, allow God to turn your heart into flesh so that you can become a new creature.

Did Dallas just try to slip in the gnostic gospel of Mary?

POV of The Chosen Season 4 Episode 7 So it really reminded me of a few things. First, the pain, grief and sorrow that Thomas felt after losing Rema reminded me of losing my mother last year due to lymphedema. She survived breast cancer back in 2018 but lost her battle 5 years later as the cancer slowly spread to her organs. The pain of not having her around anymore; The grief and sorrow that I don’t have her to help me with my daughter, who, at the time was six months old. The sadness knowing she would’ve been able to help cook food and help me clean or babysit. The anger and confusion that God’s permissive will is this way. The disappointment that although I do hope she is watching all of her milestones from heaven, we really don’t know for sure, and I see all of my daughters mannerisms and quirky movements that remind me so much of her. The second thing that this episode reminded me of is the current struggle that little James has with his limp. I have struggled with rheumatoid arthritis since I was 16 years old and although throughout the years, it has been manageable, The last 3 months have been the worst. After getting a gel injection in my knee, hoping it would help my knee, it backtracked and made it worse. I have been on crutches on and off since April and between physical therapy and chiropractor’s appointments, it still feels like it doesn’t really get better. I’m 34 and have to use a cane to walk around and It has been so debilitating, and embarrassing, to say the least. Oddly also humbling. Especially from someone who used to dance flamenco and enjoyed just dancing to any type of music and enjoyed choreography and enjoyed photography. The worst and frustrating part is getting through the brain fog and fatigue all while taking care of an 18 month old. Little James’ attitude of not seeking self attention, in terms of perhaps, wanting the Lord to heal him but not saying anything, really helps me to reflect on what I should be doing, but often times wrestle with the Lord on what I want HIM to do for me. I remember to count my blessings that at the end of a long day my husband helps a lot and I’m so grateful for that. The beautiful line “ I love you I don’t want to see you suffer”, when Lazarus was talking to Jesus after he resurrected him. Ahh I cried! So moving because it’s so true; when we love God so much, we see him as a real person. We don’t want him to suffer, but we know that he had to do it for our salvation. And although I’m still struggling with these things with the passing of my mom, with my limp and my health issues, I do ask God to help make it a little easier and manageable and just taking one day at a time hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. I just thought I’d share my story in case of someone else that may be going through the same things that I am, just know that you’re not alone we are all in this together. ❤

I still do not like or understand the death of Rhema and the grief of Thomas. That whole scenario has taken away from the incredible raising of Lazarus. Too much Hollywood. It is not the way of Christ!!!! Plus, Jesus knew before the foundation of the world what His disciples would be prior to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I have a challenge for you Dallas, read the Divine Romance by Gene Edwards. That is the Jesus I know!

Just know that Dallas himself said 95% of this show is not from scripture, and I started out making lots of excuses because I did like this show, but this whole season is riddled with non scriptural material, this is Not the Jesus in the Bible… please don’t look at this fictional story as biblical truth, Jesus healed every one who asked, Jesus would not let his disciples be in so much pain, or allow one of his own to die, then raise Lazarus, it is not plausible… do not be deceived! This episode felt like there was so much confusion amongst the disciples, who is the father of confusion? Satan… now who is writing this script?

It's fiction. Good drama though. The end monologue was tedious. Thomas' betrothed being killed is also completely made up. I think this is where the series unraveled as testimony. The John thing is also made up. Little John. It's an invention. I feel tired of the liberties taken in the name of a bit of drama.

Whenever Jesus says "I am human too" I always receive it like it was my 1st time. It's a very big deal for me to see Jesus express emotion.

The first time this season I wept. Maybe it is my own brothers untimely death. Maybe it was the deeper revelation that the Gospels were eye witness accounts. Not thst I didn't know this before, but the heartfelt knowledge that these books are stories that are far more than their accounts. They are lessons and messages that they would die to share with the world. Nothing new, just deeper understanding.

The scene where Zee cuts off the branch of a tree and peels its skin it made me realize, that it indicated towards the crucification of Jesus as how He could feel the connection He had With Father was completely cut off and the way He was tortured by the romans soldiers and all the religious leaders as they peel off His skin ( they whipped Him and gave Him the crown of thorns to wear )and distributed His clothes among each other which we can find in the four gospels...... And this is just the realization i found when i saw that scene 😅😅 God bless you Mr. Dallas and the whole chosen team you are doing a wonderful job... Love from India ❤❤😊😊

I don’t often find myself with no ability to share even a remnant of thought but, it’s different with “The Chosen”. I have thoughts as if I am being pummeled yet no clear path to document them as I sense the thoughts being fueled within me by “The Chosen” building me rather than me building upon them. It is not confusion or a lack of clarity, it is not a sense of being drawn away but a sense of being drawn to. I know it’s a higher thing because I have seen all the darkness life has to offer and I would recognize that, I don’t recognize all of this that is happening inside me. It is light and it is originating from a stirring inside of me by the power from outside of me that has taken a seat inside me. It’s not of my making but it is of my choosing. Jesus is real, I have known that all my life and I have even in the deepest bowels of the darkness I never doubted, I couldn’t have because, looking back, if I had doubted I would not have been so furiously angry at Him; so, clearly doubt wasn’t the issue. My own anger was the problem. The Chosen is helping me cure the remnants of that anger that I began working on some time ago. My wife died when we were young and it grieved me soooo bad. I could not release the pain, hurt, and anger and I furiously blamed God knowing He could give her back but, He never did. Even when I promised I would be perfect He did not, even when I became so bad I thought He might do it just to make me stop being rotten, still He did not. I met one lady after my first wife died who I felt was sent by God… …I truly believed that. Life prevented that from taking hold until 18 years later we ran into each other again waiting to go in to see “The Passion of The Christ” in 2004. We have been pretty much inseparable since and were married just 3 years later. We have been together now for 20 years and it has brought an immense healing for the sense of loss I could never shake after 1983. But, I never found my way back to Church (not that I was a meeting type person in the first place but I was not anti-church) but after watching the work the people on The Chosen have presented us with I was irrevocably compelled to study Church history and did find a path which I could recognize as a road of pavers laid by Jesus and the Apostles which I know I will want to walk for the rest of me life. I hope my wife one day will find her way too but so far nothing. The Protestant anger is as real as mine was and mine was at Jesus and hers is at His Church. God has a plan. I don’t know what it is and may not know until it happens but I know I am working on my part of it. I am reading my Bible again, I am walking a road, I am listening and I am looking and I am making progresses, I am hearing and I am seeing. “The Chosen” is helping and more so than any other thing I have tried with my human ways. Thank You!

So cool to see Peter become a rock and develop in his faith. From a chaotic fisherman to the foundation he wants to be for his brethren. Maybe Jesus and God knew how important a new name would be for him.

I am from a Hindu background and when I began to follow Jesus, my family chucked me out. They took my younger son away and sent him with his dad who remarried another Hindu lady. I and my older son had to struggle so much. After about 8yrs I heard that my younger son also had severe psychological issues. How many times I would have asked the Lord "why" like Thomas, like Mary, even like Judas - why struggle? - a sign of failure while we are supposed to be overcomers! It is by being partakers of his suffering that we are sanctified and become transformed into His image!

Wow, so powerful, best presentation of the resurrection of Lazarus I've ever seen. - tears in my eyes as I consider being resurrected (or raptured) and seeing the face of my Redeemer. My Lord Jesus You are our resurrection. You are the Son of God, God the Son.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

I love mother Mary. What a great comfort she must have been to Jesus.

Loving Sunday nights with The Chosen

Thank you Holy Spirit for descending upon the writers, actors, directors, behind the scene people, etc. in making The Chosen a reality. Season 4, Episode 7 captivates the soul. Jonathan Roumie's portrayal of Jesus crying over Lazarus' death, showed the depth of his feelings over Jesus' humanity. "A man of sorrows, acquainted with grief", Jesus was truly human like us. And how He loves us, unworthy as we are. Thank you again....

I really enjoyed this episode however I think the scene with Mary & Matthew focus too much on his death when reminiscing. I’d imagine although they would be upset they would have been more hopeful/joyful because He is risen .

I'm so blessed by this series. The Lord Jesus as human, and the disciples became so real! I read the Bible differently now. I'm deeply touched, there are crying and laughter, and it strengthens my faith. 🤲

This series is perfect timing with everything going on in the world...the evil and corruption being exposed....many are turning to Jesus and God....thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤

I am someone who needed a miracle whose church leaders left hanging by using the easy exit of 'God is Sovereign'. I sought God until He showed me how to get my miracle. Later I helped a friend get her boy back after they fished him out of the pool dead. His medical team did not expect him to live and called his full recovery a miracle. What I see in The Chosen is a marring of God's character and covenant faithfulness to His people, not a historical account of the life of Jesus; 'His words 'no man can snatch them out of My Hands' alludes to the covenant of divine protection Jesus' followers were under while God was on earth. Dallas' wrong choice to have the unhealed the unprotected and the dead among Jesus' disciples is a reinterpretation of scriptures to match the failure of today's church to walk in the divine. Believing this messed up portrayal of The Perfect God will ruin people's chances of receiving a divine intervention when they need it the most. God is Sovereign is just another way of saying 'We did everything perfect; the problem is on God's end.' Truth is sometimes hard to hear, but it will set free. God is Perfect; if there is a problem it is on our end.

Still deeply moved by this episode...wanted to convey another thought. 3 Mary's were shown in this episode who didn't just understand and get what Jesus was saying and doing back then while most of His male disciples had doubts, questions but these women were faithful disciples, one with Jesus in their love, devotion and actions towards Him. Truly inspiring!

Jesus' crying with Mary shows how He grieve with us when a loved one of ours dies. Jesus, our God knows the pain of losing through death, and this scene shows how much He truly love every single one of us

I really highly suggest all of you that are watching this read the Bible. I read a 'fun fact' on here about Lazarus, that he helps spread the gospel where's that documented exactly in the Bible. The longer the series goes on the more I realise this could easily be the work of the devil.
