Today April 6, 2021, 9 pm New Zealand time...i was eating a brownie in bed and this came up my feed for no reason...suddenly a lump just came up my throat while watching this... before i knew it i felt tears rolling down my cheeks ... chills on my spine.. I couldn't swallow my food .... I just cried!!! Speechless!!!

I love it, it makes me weep. I was filled with the Holy Ghost at 17 years old and have served him since then, and am 65 now. I love Jesus with all my heart. Keep up the good work, and let him lead you all the way. this series is a good work. I love what you are doing. I have the first season and will get each one that is made. God bless and keep you in this endeavor.

We should do the same - starting with ourselves.

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

You cannot watch the chosen without having tears, incredible series bringing life and you feel you're part of it, the best thing to happen in quarantine

Already bought the next 3 episodes! There's such value in seeing these newspaper-esque Biblical stories through the complicated and emotive eyes of the people who experienced them. How easy it is to remove the complexity and just read the highlights of the story. These were people just like you and me... complicated... impacted by their history and their story... and Jesus came to them. So excited about this series!!!!!

Watched first 4 episodes... Moved to tears when Jesus called out to Mary by her name and when He helped Simon at his most desperate. Reminded me of how the Lord called me out by name after hitting rock bottom and repenting. I thank the Lord for what He is working through this team and series. What a beautiful way of presenting the Gospel and the power to be reborn though Jesus. God bless you THE CHOSEN team and all those who hear of the Gospel through your work.

Spoiler Alert: Main character dies in this series but rose again. EDIT: No longer a Christian - unfortunately there is no good evidence for Jesus' existence, let alone him rising from the dead. Zero contemporary writing about Jesus. First gospel wasn't written until 60 years later after his supposed death so IDK about you but that's unreliable as fuck.

I’m just now getting to watch this, and I’m blown away. I’ve cried, I’ve been mad, I’ve giggled a little, bc Jesus had a sense of humor and this movie made me want to hug Jesus and bow down to him. I watched the 4 episodes of the Chosen, and I must say... an absolute rare work of beautiful art- from the actors and the characters to the cinematography to the tangibility of the Gospel, everything is so raw and real- absolutely relatable. I have read the gospels before, but I have never seen it in such light and hope... the characters are SOOOOOOO REAL!! It was a pleasure watching this... WELL DONE team Chosen!!! every second of it was worth the watch and worth every single penny... Thank you... This series is a MASTERPIECE... pls do watch this...

It is done differently, yet in a very powerful way. I am touched. I was crying watching each scene. Uttering prayers now and then. The life of Mathew, Marry, Peter.. How they are impacted. I havent watched anything similar to this that fills my heart with overwhelming joy and fuels my desire for Jesus. I am literally addicted to this. I have looped through S1 countless number of times. Cant wait for S2 to be out!! The great wonders that God can do when we are willing to surrender that 5 loaves of bread and two fish. Was moved to tears when I heard the testimony of Dallas Jenkins!! Apparently there is not even one episode of S1 that didnt leave me in tears!!!

This show is truly divine and not of human origin. There is not one person that isn’t proud to admit that they cry when they watch this blessing. There’s no doubt that it will finish accordingly. We need it more than ever.

I'm watching this series for the fourth time through in two months. I don't normally tear up or cry when I watch movies or television, just a few I can think of that affect me. I find myself tearing up on pretty much every episode of this series. They've obviously done their homework on the historical-cultural context of the time of Jesus and it really helps one connect emotionally with the original text. Watching it has inspired me to dive deeper into the Jewish culture of the time and I've learned a lot just in the past few weeks about the relationship of the rabbi and his disciples, which has in turn been transformative in my work as an evangelist. I started watching it about the same time I went to full-time status as a preacher and it's been perfect to help keep me motivated for the kingdom.

I’ve watched many tv series but this one, maybe because it’s a Christian tv serie about Jesus , but i cried on each episode. I don’t what would be ogres reaction if they watch this tv serie , a non believer, atheist or a person from another religion. God I pray for everyone to know you, to know your love, to open their eyes, ears and heart for you to see you , to hear your voice and to open their heart to you . Amen ❤️🙏🏻

I have never been so moved by The story of Jesus. I am more amazed by our Lord. Jesus is portrayed exactly for who He is. Love, compassion, kindness.
