I hope that I can save enough money to buy the series on DVD when it's all said and done. It's the most heartfelt, loving, edge of your seat, hold your breath, cry your eyes our show that I have ever seen. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞❤
It says don't worship graven images either. Your lord our G-d knows our hearts and we don't need statues to remind us of him nor the cross. The word is all that is needed.
But what came first the Bible or the church? Show me sola scripture in the bible…😮😢 oops not there is it? Catholicism has the Fullness of truth❤🙌🕊️❤️🔥🙏
We are in the Latter-days, and even though we are not Apostles, we disciples of Jesus Christ, and for the unbelievers we too shall be persecuted, so be prepared.
The last episode of season 7 will GO A LITTLE into acts. The main story of season 7 will be about the resurrection, the ascension, and most likely the holy spirit descending onto him
Matthew 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. When judas hanged himself Acts 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. When judas hanged himself after a few hours his body would have swollen up and from the weight the rope broke and his body exploded
Matthew 27:6-7 explains it further in Greek... "And the chief priests having taken the pieces of silver said, "It is not lawful to put THESE [auta - the pieces of silver] into the treasury, since it is the price of blood." Then having taken counsel together, they bought with THEM [ex auton - the pieces of silver] the potter's field as a burial place for strangers." I believe the purchase was made on behalf of Judas. He had hung himself there and then it became known as Akeldama after he somehow fell & his bowels burst forth. In Acts 1:18, the Greek word used is 'ektysato' not really 'purchased' but 'took possession of' or 'acquired a field...' which is more poetic and substantially clear that the Sanhedrin wanted to distance themselves from any guilt of their financial transaction with Judas.
One "theory" about John (the beloved) is that he "didnt" die! (When the roman exiled him to patmos, after they couldnt kill him - thats where he wrote the book of revelations). Word is that he still has a plan on earth (and was transfigured) until Jesus comes back a 2nd time!
All glory and honor is yours LORD JESUS CHRIST. LORD GOD, you are revealing to the world your protection and wrath when humanity is not in union with you. Hear our repentant plea from those who believe in you and your divine will and we are seeking your absolution and protection. JESUS send forth your spirit and renew the face of the earth. Blessed Mother Mary pray for us who have recourse to thee. Amen
The Acts depiction of Judas death may also be a figure of speech. It's so unusual and very specific enough to be a figure of speech that everyone would know the meaning at the time. Similar to how if someone says they are going to crush, kill, or destroy the other football team we know that they aren't actually going to kill them. Just another hypothesis.
2 Tim 3:12 All who live godly will suffer persecution. Salvation is Free because the price was paid in full by Jesus Christ precious blood, But it will cost your whole life.
Orthodox theology holds that these Apostles, with the exception of Judas, were martyred for their faith. Had Judas sought repentance, he too may have seen salvation. Some Christian theology was that he was first to enter Hades after Christ freed the others, bound Satan, and left, therefore Judas remains in Hades until the 2nd Coming.
From Scripture and even here in the Chosen... Judas believed with all his heart that Jesus was the Messiah. His "betrayal" was necessary for the crucifixion to happen. From what I gathered from scripture and Judas was that he did not betray him in the way people think. He believed that all the in your face kind of things that Jesus was doing to the Jewish leaders that Judas thought if he continued in that path... they would kill the Messiah. All the Jewish leaders had to do was to lie to Judas and tell him they just want to meet with him and talk to him to help him. And Judas believed them. So he arranged the meeting without telling Jesus what he was doing. He did not think that he was betraying Jesus... but helping him. It was Judas who was betrayed by the Jewish leaders. And when Judas had realized that he was tricked by these leaders... he gave the money back that they paid him to help Jesus... but that did not take away the final results. The Jewish leadership had lied... and Judas went and killed himself because of what really happened which was not what was suppose to happen according to his understanding. Yes... there needed to be a "betrayer" to put the crucifixion into play. But so many things had to happen to make it possible.
@@TysonLittle-hq2dz Yes... he did. Judas was the one who showed the Jewish Leaders where Jesus was at. And for those who did not "know" who he was... Judas said he would "kiss" him. And so he did. But as I said... Judas thought he was doing the right thing because he was told they just wanted to talk to him. But we must understand... it was important for Judas to do what he did so that Jesus could be crucified. It was all part of the Father's plan.
@@MrNirom1 From my understanding Judas thought Jesus had come to defeat the Romans and set Himself up as King. When Judas realised Jesus wasn’t going to do that, that is when Satan entered him and he betrayed Jesus. Jesus first came as a Lamb to be sacrificed for all man kind. This is something Judas didn’t understand.
Let’s just keep reading n not come to our own understandings as it says in the bible and study something that is truth or not hehe god bless everyone 🙏🙌👑❤️
@@suzanneyoung6273 The plan of Salvation of the Father was determined before the earth was created by Jesus. Jesus needed a betrayer. But I don't believe Judas did it because he no longer thought that Jesus was the Messiah. He knew he was. I believe that Jewish Leadership told him that they just wanted to talk to Jesus to make him understand. And because Judas did care for Jesus he made the arrangement for them to speak with Jesus. They fooled Judas and when he couldn't believe what had happened... that is why he gave the money back and killed himself. If he had betrayed him on purpose to hurt him... he would have kept the money and ran.
Andrew was the farthest traveler. He went through China, India, up through Russia, across Northern Europe and finally returned to Syria where he was martyred
I had read somewhere that Pilat was exiled somewhere and he killed himself. They said he was seen washing his hands often. Don’t know if this is true or not. I wonder if his wife ever came to know Jesus.
Enjoyed as in gaining knowledge and also understanding their martyrdoms to be due to their incredible trust in God who they love more than life itself and were willing to die for Him.
To me, enjoying a video does not mean grinning while watching a video or ending up really happy. Sometimes you can enjoy something if you learned a new piece of information from it or reached a new understanding after watching it! I hope this helps
There's scant information on each apostle in the book of Acts except the apostle Paul - however mostly in a new city he went to the synagogues to preach - arguments about Judaism - So book of Acts gives background to early Pentecostal churches and the letters Paul wrote to the churches follow after the book of Acts - so any movie would have to go into depth about Corith, Ephesus, Galatia - probably movies about Paul in those cities would be interesting.
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. King James Version (KJV) Just heard her say the word few right after sharing this verse that has that same word in it that was predestination that caused this to happen. No coincidence at all.
I don't know who else to write, so that's why I'm sending it on this platform. If you have anything to say about when the release of season 5 will be, would you tell them not to release it during holy week! If you're Catholic you're not going to have time to go to the movies during holy week. Thank you.
Repent now and trust Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior please🥰 John 3:13 for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life!😇❤❗
There's been some talk about a sequel series following the apostles. To be honest, I don't know if I would watch that. Who wants to see our favorite characters all getting butchered one way or another? It's sad.
I love the show, and the set up of the seasons are a great set up. But i hope they take less time pusing the show out. Also it should be and is so far based onnthe NKJ the best source on the bible, the newer bibles take out words and are cursed
The reason the 2 Herods have the same name is because Herod is a title belonging to that ruling family from Palestine. Scripture mentions Herod the Great, his sons Herod Archelaus and Herod Antipas, and his grandsons Herod Agrippa I and Herod Agrippa II. "Herod" is a prefix given to the rulers following in the lineage of Herod the Great, who was the Herod who had the male children slaughtered upon hearing of Jesus' birth. Herod Archelaus, one of his sons, was ruler over Judea when John the Baptizer fled to the wilderness. Herod Antipas was the ruler who had John beheaded, and was the Herod to whom Jesus was sent from Pilate. Herod Agrippa I, believed to be James' executioner was the grandson of Herod the Great.
Nothing happened to her. Natural life span.Dallas is NOT doing "The Book of Acts," or the Transfiguration." How many times does it have to be said.? also of course, NOT Revelations.
Wow. You got almost all wrong per historic tradition. Example: Philip was tied between two horses in Egypt, torn apart and dragged thru the streets. He had two daughters who carried on his church until another bishop was appointed.
Very early on, Christians confused Philip the Apostle with Philip the Evangelist from the Book of Acts. So we can’t say for sure which accounts are referring to which Philip. To make matters worse, there are conflicting stories. Basically, we don’t know how Philip died. But there are plenty of possibilities. One record says he died of natural causes. Another says he was beheaded. Or stoned to death. Or crucified upside down. What we do know is that he died sometime in the first century, possibly around 80 AD.
What is with the Judas "theory" he did/he didn't hang himself? If all of the Bible is true... well how are we to know which books are the truth. We can't make up our own 'theories'. Then all of these stories such as the Chosen takes poetic license... not sure what to believe.
Isaiah though he was not a disciple/apostle but an OT major prophet. As for the apostles, I don’t know though others on here (farther down the comment section) talk about who it was.
In the Bible does not say how the Apostles died, it only says where they are going, The only way to know what happened to them is to read extra-biblical documents.
True Believers should know that all this 'history' was written over three HUNDRED years after the 'fact'.. and by the Roman church... The Roman church is the source for quite a lot of extra-Biblical claims... alll of which can't be collaborated by any other independent or unbiased source. Did the Apostles die this what... we have no direct evidence other than what this apostate church claims.... so DON'T BE DECEIVED.
Yes, the show will have 7 seasons in total. Dallas said the last season would also start covering the book of Acts to see what the apostles were doing after Jesus's crucifixion
We are truly sorry what happened to your father. But the Lord would not want you to badmouth President Biden. The good Lord put him there for a reason. But I do bless your father. Let's all pray. Amen
I want to see John in the coliseum been put into boiling oil and still preaching like nothing, been indestructible. I want to see Thomas in India and china. I want to see all of them and their ministry, including Santa Tecla. I even want to see how Cyril and his brother developed a language to Christianize the Russ. There is so much to tell... And we are thirsty for it. I want to se Saint Simeon in the pillar story. Como on Dallas give us what we want.
All of that would be made-up fiction, because there is no historical or Biblical account of how the disciples died. It is all based on tradition and not actual history.
