Whoever uploaded this was, and still is, a legend. Havent listened to Radio 1 since he left. I'm now thankful he is on Radio X. Let this remain an example of how to broadcast a Breakfast Radio Show..... Its immense.
This is my 3rd time watching this and it gets me in the feels every damn time, I really don't mind admitting I've cried to this a little each time. I loved this show growing up and there hasn't been anything close to replace this, happiest school and work mornings for a decade and more of my life. Thank you Chris moyles and his team for absolute radio listening pleasure, I love you all xx
Or in other words.. RADIO 1 is shit now as the Chris Moyles show was the only good thing there ever was on radio one.. I loved listening to the show in my works van in between jobs
I will always remember this day. I had listened to the show for years. During that time my life changed a lot. Chris and the team were a (at the time silly but motivational) distraction to getting up early and giving it my all and trying to push forward when many things were against me......lots of things of my own creation to be fair. Slogging on I found myself in the best job I have ever had in a company that have propelled me forwards. Anyway back to the point....I made absolutely sure I listened to this last show (hidden in the workshop corner) and remembered how it was a familiar comfort on those cold/wet/early/weekend/hungover mornings when I had to persevere and get on with life and not give up......Chris and the team a long overdue thank you
I remember listening to this show whilst driving on holiday. It was an end of era for me too. After that day I have not listened to Radio 1. Was a sad day like wise the last Mark & Lard show
A much needed laugh with Chris and Dave is what we could all do with each day right now. I try and listen to Radio X and I just can’t laugh at any of it yet I watch these old clips and I’m in hysterics. I loved the whole team back then such a different energy and was a real mood boost for me. I felt I was in their company. Won’t ever top this show. Shame it never worked out with all members and a future elsewhere with the beeb.
Agree, I loved this show but it doesn’t work on Radio X. Hopefully we’ll see him on Radio 2 one day. I think he needs those types of producers to reel him in a little bit.
@@Stampistuta Definitely. His Radio X show is good but nothing like this one. It seems he's too laid back now. Can't really listen to all his show. I can just manage about half an hour. Pretty sad, but hope he goes back to the way he was on Radio 1. Granted, he's in his late 40s but that's nothing these days.
Remember this like it was yesterday....I took the day off to watch the last show....never got Chris in the early years, but him and the team grew on me, if you got it, you got it.......and sadly R1 breakfast has been crap ever since......😞
You can find the real deal Howard Stern on RU-vid. Moyles basically ripped him off and done Howard's show in the UK, knowing most people wouldn't know. I quite liked The Moyles show. But it's nothing compared to the real thing.
@@robo3715 no I never knew that actually. I heard him mention Howard I think. But I never knew he admitted to ripping him off. Still I bet it wasn't till after the show finished? Which is still kinda shitty. It's cool to be influenced by people before you, but he lifted so much from Howard it was wrong. But hey he got rich and people enjoyed the show. And people couldn't get the real thing in the UK at the time, so I spose it doesn't really matter. Besides HS is worth something like 500 million dollars so everyone wins s suppose!
Grimmy debut listeners (2012 = 7.1m. Moyles debut listenrs (2004)= 5.93m. Grimmy listeners after 2yrs (2014) = highest 5.97m. Moyles listenrs after 2yrs (2006) = ave 6.79m. Grimmy highest listeners (2012) = 7.1m. Moyles highest listeners (2010) = 7.9m. (Rajar) The figures speak for themselves, Moyles added 2m listeners over his period and Grimmy has given them their lowest figures in the past decade.
Steve Parker Nick Grimshaw`s listener figures for the first three months of 2015 were down to 5.5 million ...... the lowest figures since Sarah Cox`s last three months in 2003 ... BUT the Radio 1 boss thinks that Grimshaw is driving out older listeners and retaining kids. What a total pillock - people of all ages are giving up listening because Grimshaw ( like Cox ! ) is crap !
I'm 14 and I have to say every morning my dad put this on while he was making breakfast in the morning and i have to say it was the best times ever! Grimmy is bloody shit! No where near as good as moyles. Me n my dad gave up on the 4th day and couldn't bare his stupid voice! BRING BACK MOYLES!
Thanks for the support! Someone out there should start a campain to bring him back. Still going to school every day i put on my own music in the car because every other radio is shit. I enjoyed the breakfast show with the radio on in the kitchen listening to radio 1 chris moyles whilst eating breakfast. But still the boring basturd is still on (nick grimshaw)
It's a mark of both Chris's & Daves professionalism that they're both cordial and business as usual, despite the conflict that arose between them in the last few months of working together. Hope they manage to bury the hatchet & make up
Don’t think Grimmys departure from the radio 1 breakfast show will have quite the same reaction as Chris had but thank goodness there back on radiox just hope he never leaves there
The other song called "Stay with me" was first sung by Lorraine Ellison in 1966. That could have been Tina's first random choice of CD track. You can find it on RU-vid, using "stay with me ellison" to search.
best dj and the team they did more for children in need was a great show i listen to them for over 5 years ever morning now i don't listen to radio 1 it not the same without chris and his team grimshaw no good bring chris and the team back
1 hour 22 mins in. Never knew Dom did all the audio news snippets and put his own mic down and did the jingles etc. Must be hard to do all that. Always thought Chris did it,
miss this show :( listened to it every morning since my first year at school, right through until my last day there :( cant believe they cancelled this was an awesome show and im not saying i dislike Grimmys show...but this was WAY more entertaining and funny!!
Wow nearly 7 years ago now, glad Chris, Dom and Pippa are back on breakfast radio, be it on another channel. But radio 1 never felt the same afterwards. Listened to mid afternoons with Scott and Chris for a few years after. But grimmy and Greg James come no way near.
I've just had a look, as I hate RU-vid videos which are restricted as well, but it's not letting me change this. I certainly did not set it this way when I uploaded it. My best guess is that videos with detected copyrighted material (as this video has, as Chris plays little bits of music during some of his links) are automatically blocked to mobiles and TVs. Sorry.
