@@anneroy4560 Hahaha. I'm 60 years old, but still young at heart. I do enjoy Tolkien's fantasy world. However, with that being said, my favorite of his works is The Lays of Beleriand, which is written entirely in old English alliterative verse poetry.

This is a great read-along Katie, and I read all these Christmas novellas a few years back thanks to you. Recently we moved to Texas, where there are epidemics of black crickets. They are completely disgusting and have given new meaning to Cricket on the Hearth, lol!

Greetings from Thailand. Again! I just finished Drood last week thus completing your/ our MegaDickensReadalong & I'll post about that when you do your Drood summation video. What i wanted to say here was I'm so excited to see this thread because although I'm a Christmas baby & loved Christmas with a passion from my childhood until my mid-30's since then & evenmoreso since I relocated to Thailand it's become less important & meant I never really wanted to read the Master's Christmas books. But now I can. And I will. So, thank you, looking forward to it already. I have the first 3 already will have to try & find the final two in Bangkok or Chiang Mai's wonderful 2nd hand bookshops. Fingers crossed.

I have only read A Christmas Carol. I like it. It’s short. It’s familiar. I guess I need to locate physical copies of the others to see how they compare. I am not a fan of digital or audio reading. It’s early enough that I should be able to find them through my local libraries and/or used bookstores.
