Love these videos so much, brings back so much of my young days growing up in Trinidad. Thsnks a million and keep up the old time living and memories. Viewing all the way crom Toronto Canada.
These men are so hardworking They live the long time way Nowadays people have everything too easy! And yet these men are so contented and humble👍❤ God bless them❤
@@lyndonbaptiste The most revealing thing I’ve gotten from your videos with Mr. Bat is that he seems very contented and at peace with his life. That’s commendable because we all go through life trying to find contentment and peace. He is a shining example of that. 🙏❤️🙏
Gud night I remember this man, we used to go with my Uncle Bing from since we were little children.. it was the best days of our lives , their is so much Memorable Memories ❤
Love this video soo much I can remember this sort of life when I was a little girl But my kids don't know Hats off to you Lyndon I can show them how people work very hard long time!!
That is a beautiful black pot. I also appreciate coming to your channel and getting a different style of video every time. I figure eventually you will settle on a particular style, but I appreciate the mixed bag we get for now. Each video is a surprise. A little Trini golden nugget for the archives.
Akash, this comment means a lot. I often wonder if I'll settle and people will come to the channel for a particular Thing but I doubt it. I like the surprises too. Thanks again.
Two things: Mr Bat is alive and well. This video is dedicated to his recently deceased brother; My dad's book, The Ghost of Caura, is now available. Purchase it here: amzn.to/3bRFugU
My name for you is Uncle Bat from NJ, born 🇹🇹. Love watching all these channels. Would love to visit Caura whenever I travel home. And Uncle Harry it's a pleasure watching nature, cooking, waterfalls, Anniversary etc.
Lyndon, I introduced my mother to your channel last night and she spent whole day watching all your videos, this woman doesn't know that Trini people makes vlogs on youtube (she living under a rock ent) and she is highly anticipating another video from you!
I'm a new subscriber, and have been loving these videos of this gentleman, keep up with the many different kinds of videos which u have created. Great content
Dear Eric, please tell your mom thank you very much for her support. I watched your back to school video and really enjoyed it. We should collaborate sometime. Take care.
Thanks! We were going for a true bushman experience and I wasn't sure it would work. It's inspired by a no talk video I saw sometime ago (I remember a guy cutting meat and mountains in the background) so I can't take credit for the idea. I just finally found the right man for the job. Thanks for watching. 😊
How it conceivably possible for any two-year old child, anywhere on the face of this entire earth, to get through a single day unharmed and without serious injury? There are innumerable ways for things to just go wrong. Yet, for most toddlers, they fare just fine on a daily basis. The same can be said about Industrious Mr. Bat; tripping, falling, thorns, sharp objects - danger is everywhere, but somehow he comes out unscathed, unharmed; in fact, he thrives! Just as a toddler, Mr. Bat had extra special love and affection from Mother Nature for whatever reason, but my guess would be, after meeting this kind gentleman, it was because of his innocent and almost childlike SINCERITY "Inside Caura".
Good day Lyndon I enjoy your videos they really inspiring and relaxing at the same time. You have a beautiful family. Last night I saw an episode where Kimberly was making a cake she is very talented,, stay bless and keep doing what you do brother, Blessings to you and your family!!
Just seen the wild parrot in a small caged area, when it's natural habitat is boundless. If this isn't cruelty, I don't know what is? I haven't seen anything in the small space it inhabit to stimulate it's interest and provide occupational therapy. All wild birds have things that stimulate interest , provides play, helps with their need to groom themselves for peak health and conditioning. God gave us dominion over animals, but warned us to treat them wirh compassion and respect.
I enjoy your videos especially the ones in the bush, you should hit up gran couva, valencia, grande, tabaquite, cedros etc.would be nice to see those places
Dear Kiran, thanks for your kind words. Mr Bennie is Mr Bat's deceased brother. When Mr Bat saw this video I asked him if he wanted to dedicated it to "Balo" and Mr Bat said yes.
I am taken back to the way I once lived with my dogs as company similar to Mr. Bat with my old Landrover Defender to commute through undulating colonial traces, Cooking on ah chulaa , gathering wood , living off de land....not everyone cut out for that kinda life. I have since migrated but every time I have visited I make it my duty to go and spend at least a week in the bush. I love your vlogs but particularly the ones showcasing “The Quite Life in Caura. Thanks Lyndon for your videos, they bring me a sense of comfort.
CURTIS, please forgive my late response. You're a marvelous writer. I saw everything you described. Thanks for your compliments, and I'm glad that these journeys bring you a sense of comfort. I look forward to creating more pieces like this with you in mind.

How does a daily vlog with Mr Bat sound? 🙃 My videos aren't sponsored and although you'll see ads on my videos, to date, I've never collected revenue. One day. Hopefully.

I love this set up, as I love being close to nature. This handsome mature man has an idyllic lifestyle. However, I am aware Trinidadians are infamous for cutting down trees, creating waste land an arrid areas. They kill wild life for fun and by devastating their natural habitat, this further destroy our eco system, which is our life force we depend on totally; for clean air, fresh clean water, the preservation of the soil , which sustain growth and stops flooding. We are already seeing soil erosion, water unable to penetrate into the ground. How does the govt allow people to continue living on land in an unsustainable way? Why isn't there an education programme in every village to provide its people with knowledge on a sustainable methods to care for and respect the land, rivers, waterway and natural wild life in our small island. We need to farm organically and not poison the soil (as well ) with fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides . In developing countries fast growing trees are specifically grown for charcoal . How can a tiny island afford to cut down trees that takes hundreds of years to grow for charcoal that burns within minutes for the most hours? Unbelievable how people on this small island exploit our small precious land; when larger countries ( many thousand time larger ), sustain their land and waters by educating their citizens, passing strict laws and planting thousands of trees every week. Just look it up if you doubt it. I am not saying this nice man is distroying our land, as I have no evidence of this.
