Ironically enough, people are protesting the fact that the police are able to use such disgraceful techniques. The reason you are a bootlicker if you defend the police right now is simple : If you are arguing that the riots are bad because of a *minority* of people doing bad things, then you understand why people are protesting the cops treatment of black people when not *every* cop is committing injustice. Even then, the whole point of the riot is not even George Floyd in particular - though it’s important to say his name - but the collective injustice of the modern police force. Hyper-militarised and hyper-aggressive gangs of bullies that feel too powerful because they are too powerful. They don’t teach people their rights in school because that way the cops wouldn’t be too scary. People have had enough of the pigs. The reason the government is so fearful is because these protests are different. They have the same traits as the typical socialist revolution : workers - I prefer to call them people - revolting against a tool of the capitalist machine. People aren’t fucking around and the reality is this: you are with them or against them. Think carefully about your principles and - particularly if you are white - do a little less talking and listen more. Educate yourself and before you position yourself *against* the BLM - because it’s the default position a lot of white people want to take - try and figure out why people are protesting.
