“Outside of the Church, there is no salvation”
-St. Cyprian of Carthage
As the sacrament of salvation, the Church, by her very nature, is called to unite as many people to Christ as possible, for their sake. In the sixth and final lecture, Dr. Richard DeClue discusses the Church ad extra, that is, toward the outside. In particular, he explores what Vatican II teaches about dialogue, both with other Christians (ecumenism) and with non-Christians (interreligious dialogue), and what it teaches about missionary activity.
