@@GregMuniz7 So did I because their music has such a timeless, ageless quality. BTW ditto Tears for Fears, Gary Newman, U2 & so many other artists & bands that got started in the 1980's. That's why the 80's rule.
I had been a Youth Worshipper since '85. The ups, the downs, the Chaos, but I lived through it all, and continued buying the CDs for at least a Month of Sundays. Finally, I left the flock a few years ago...No Explanation except that Marty was gone. After Everything, Now This...Now I Wonder Why I doubted Steve and all...back into the fold I am, never to leave again. Great song.
They were my top three bands next to Led Zep, Cheap Trick and The Church. I had no idea they were so active after the first three albums. I was so out if it for so long.
I've had the privilege of seeing The Church three times, live, over the course of their career; this song comes as close as any which come to mind, of encapsulating everything they are about. It has it all, and shows such an amazing maturation through an epic process of evolution.
My favourite band. Love SK voice and then there's the two guitarists who blend their styles so perfectly. Big fan of both of them. Always thought I should have been their keyboard player, lol. Steve if you read this....
This is aural heaven, these guys are so powerful, but know how to constrain themselves at the same time, this track will be an instant classic, I cannot wait to see this performed live in Adelaide South Australia at The Governor Hindmarsh on 16 November 2017
Give Further, Deeper a listen if you haven't already. I hadn't listened to much of their work since Priest=Aura, but Further, Deeper is now my favorite Church album. That was just a couple of years ago, and this sounds similar.
There is so much in this song that resonates with me, I don't know where to begin with my comment. In the last year I had to put down my beloved old, sick cat. A few months later my mum passed away. Then my dad became mentally ill and had to be hospitalised. My chronic condition(EDS) worsened and I ended up in a nursing home for four months. I'm only in my 40s. My life is an ongoing battle and I cling to the hope there is higher force helping me fight it, maybe my mum's spirit. Past abuse, lies, silence. Overthrow the tyrant, I dearly hope I can in another life, in "another century".
looking forward to yet another album...I feel like I will always follow them no matter what they do. I always have...and it seems like a habit I don't ever want to quit.
Awesomeness! First seen as support for Duran Duran in 1982 lol... still my all time favourite band! BTW, I do so love the interwebs... how hard was it to be a fan of an Australian band in Scotland in the 80's eh oldtimers? My kids just can't understand it... how it felt like they were my secret! "Kilbey is god" written on my leather! They could do no wrong... a very special band and I'm so happy they are still here with me on this journey through life still. Respect! X
I understand, Scottland has many great pop bands but I must agree with you. The fact that The Church is still active after so many years just prove your point. I am a big fan of the band too. Cheers from São Paulo, Brazil.
I must have been asleep for too long..........FANTASTIC!!! I was listening to the stuff I have collecting dust....not that that stuff isn't as great as it always has been, a little T. Rex or Bowie never hurt no one.....lets say its beautiful to hear something fresh musically. These guys always bring it back around and shine bright! I'm just going to set everything aside and listen! And be there on Sept. 8th in Portland, OR! Saw that today....yeah....I must have been asleep. Best band anywhere anytime any universe!:-)

What a great opener to the new album- first tracks never disappont and neither do many of their albums- for a group so heavily influenced by the Beatles why do they come to the U.K. so rarely and then only ever do London and Brighton. Come on Steve come and see us in blighty.
yeah fully agree. and i live in oztralia. They are tourijng US and oz but poor old blightly misses out. Oh well at least you have the psychedelic;ic furs who don't tour oz ever.
Thank you Steve and Band for another beautiful open door into the dream world. Much needed in these crazy times! Planning to see you in Salt Lake City -
This is good. Even better was the other new song they played last night in Nashville. On the set list sheet at their feet, I could see that it was titled "I Don't Know Y." I'm sure both will be on their upcoming album. Can't wait!
