Totaly agree about the two volumes xD. Here are some other thoughts: I suspect there already is a compressor on Joey, but some of the problem lies with the mic (Shure sm7b). That mic sounds tromendus, BUT. You have to be really close to that mic for it to sound good. Personally i think lee should do either a) Buy a microphone for joey that allows a wider ranges of distance and still sound good. b) Tweak the setup so that the mic can follow Joey Diaz movment better. (Those table stand mic holders has little room for adjust-ability). c) Cut back on the weed and actually monitor the sound and give instructions to podcast participators to get better audio. This is nitpicking of course, this podcast is one of my favs, but when you are into audio you notice some stuff.The mics are waaaay to hot most of the time (Input gain setting is set to high on the microphone) to compensate for the distance from the audio source. This makes it so that there is a noticable low frequenzy buzz, and crackeling when input is to high. Example 1:16:20.
