I agree with Joey about the twice a year call. I have one guy who I consider my brother since kindergarten, and if we get busy with life we still check in every 6 months if one hasn't heard from the other. Acquaintances and family that's it. Some friends become family and some family become acquaintances

Bert was in Seattle the very next day playing at the Moore Theater. I got a few pix of his tour bus but sadly wasn't able to attend the show. Good story eh?

I almost choked up listening to Bert tell that story about making friends because it's so relatable. I'm trying to be more vulnerable and allow people into my life but it's hard. I also had a moment when someone said to me "we're trying to be your friend so you have to open up and let us be friends." I couldn't take that kind of pressure or accept that kind of acceptance as genuine; I always think that are being nice at best and playing me for a fool at worst. I'm so fucking broken as a human being. Maybe that's why I've never had a proper relationship always just romantic flings. I need to learn how to be a friend because I'm in danger of losing the ones I have by not being close enough to them.
