One of Michael Caine's best lines. My mom once told my grandpa he looks like Michael Caine, and it made him very happy.

Some critics have given Michael Caine a rough time with his accent but I think what they fail to realize is that when he does American accent especially here it sounds more like how we as Americans used to speak in the late 19th early 20th century with a slight English touch especially in New England and the South most actors playing older Americans today often don't utilize that type of pronunciation but in fact Cane'sway of speaking is more reflective of the times and therefore more accurate in my opinion. his American characters remind me a lot of John Huston the way they speak very earthy, traditional and yet extremely poetic.

In England we have different accents every 20 or 30 miles . Is it true that the accents in Cohen brothers Fargo are indicative of the Scandinavian migration to that part of America?

The book is a modern classic, Caine is the perfect Wilbur Larch. If you haven't read it, take the time, I can't praise it highly enough. Maybe Irvings best work.

I absolutely adore this movie. And the ending to this clip was almost PERFECT, how you guys incorporated quotes from the movie to be pertinent to a clip on RU-vid. Lol But the only reason why I said ALMOST perfect was because it would have been ridiculous had there been a quote about subscribing, or at least the word, "subscribe." But I digress... Thanks for this unexpectedly entertaining clip from this wonderful movie! 👍👍

I never will forget that scene from Irving´s master piece. Princes of Maine and Kings of New England remindes me of Christ having made us Princes and Kings of the heavenly realms. We will reign with Christ in celestial places, as Paul said (2 Tim 2:12). AND THAT SCENE IS A PRETASTE TO THAT PROMISE... Greetings from Germany
