The way Twinkie worked that tenor line... is amazing. She doesn't do things to make herself stand-out, but just try and imagine it without her. Her ad-libs add so much to their songs.
I just love Dorinda! Even Karen w/ her gifted voice had to shake her head @ Dorinda's delivery...SO POWERFUL! Jackie is very soothing & melodic w/ her tone. Twinkie does it all as we all know by now. What can I say? I love 'em!
I loved how at 2:47 Dorinda took over the soprano part and you don't even notice them switching harmony parts. And Twinkie just love her some tenor. I love to hear her singing tenor. I realized that she really liked singing tenor, even though she could sing any of the harmony parts. Love these girls!!!
The best thing about this song and many of the Clark Sisters' songs is that it is the Word of God. I really appreciate Twinkie (the main songwriter) and her sisters for teaching us to praise God the way He wants us to...speaking His truth. God bless you all.
OMG! I just realized that at 2:47 when KAREN went back into the lead that DORINDA actually took on the soprano part. I knew she could do it. But, seeing and hearing it was incredible. WOW! Peace and love...
My favorite singers twinkie and Karen are blessing my spirit right now. Omggggg Karen @ 4:45 with that run and twinkie voice is so high in this song just beautiful
Female gospel vocal standards were set by these gifted, anointed sisters!!! Not only because they can sing, but because the use of their gifts were clearly dedicated to God from the depths of their hearts!
Jalen Parsley / I Think 1, Karen Had A Lead On This Song, And 2, Usually When They Sing, They Have The Soprano Stand To The Far Right (Notice How Dorinda Is In The Spot We Always See Karen Standing In) And The Alto And Tenors Are To The Left... Where We See Jacky And Twinkie. It Helps The Blend. 😭
Twinkie is carrying the bottom. She is also adding beautiful runs throughout the whole song and is playing the keys. To me, this is Twinkie’s song and she’s just giving her sisters some solo shine. You should listen to Twinkie sing it solo as she originally wrote it. It makes a lot more sense.
Inspiration Queue in a recent interview with Kiki, Karen actually told how she had a child before Kiki, but lost it due to it being a still born. She continued with the pregnancy as if she was having a normal baby with hopes, but it passed away. Her mom & grandma encouraged her to have another baby, so that was Kiki. She said J drew was kind of an accident.
Latavious Garrison she said that he was a accident because they wanted to put more time (as in number years) in between he and Kiki ...j. Drew was planned though. Bishop Sheard actually wanted 5 kids but KCS said ummm no.
@@tipqti Glad Karen put her foot down on that lol "uh uh John, you ain't gonna have me barefoot and pregnant now!" Plus kids can be expensive. God blesses their arrivals but they need a roof too. KCS had to do what she had to do.
Nah. Dorinda just went from belting it out to falsetto. Jackie ain't sung soprano in her life! lol. Well I can't say that for SURE but most likely not.
