Came here today just to say RIH, Bishop Allen. This is one of my favorite clips. I was at this recording almost 30 years ago. Here's the back story. Twinkie wrote this song and taped it. She sent the tape to Rance Allen via Fed Ex because he was on the road performing. But somehow, Bishop Allen's hotel couldn't get the tape to him on time. HE. NEVER. HEARD. THE. TAPE! He got off the plane and hightailed it to the recording in Detroit. Twinkie wrote out the words for him. His first time hearing the song was while it was being recorded. The audience is standing because we were all in awe. We could not believe that he sang the song perfectly. People's mouths were literally on the floor. I was sure they were going to have to re-do this song. But they didn't. Rance is a one-time wonder! With Twinkie playing, singing and directing, Rance doing the solo, and Mattie Moss Clark coming in the end to direct - this video is one of my all-time favorites.
My sister Natalie showed me this song in my darkest days. She played it & I melted. I still listen to this song while I shower to set the tone of my day. This song makes you trust in God even when u feel u can't🩷🙌🏽

Indeed!!!!! I was there at this recording. The Clarks had FedExed Rance the song to the hotel where he was staying so that he could hear the song, read the lead and learn it before this recording. The FedEx package arrived late, so when Rance showed up, he had not even heard the song. He was reading his lead part from the script. The man dumped house. Everybody was just blown away that he could sing the lead to this song on the fly and tear it up like he did. Only professional, true singers who know their craft can do that!
I have three sick children and listening to the gospel songs on u tube give me consolation and hope that God is a Healer and he's healing my children right now .I praise God for his goodness and Mercy.Thank You Jesus!You are my strength. Jesus Jesus Jesus!!!!

My sister recently passed away and I have 4 relatives who are sick. It's taking me a long time to overcome my flu. I listen to this everyday and it helps get me through also.

My son was killed on the bus, while coming home 3/17/2022. The shooter's intent was to kill, everybody on the bus. But God said NO!!! I thank God for the 32 years I had him. I truly trust him. He gave me peace, through my son's death; that truly surpasses my understanding . I trained my children in Holiness, and I understood why, weeks before my son's death; he called me and said,Mom you messed up me and Chante life. I replied how, he said you told us ; we will never enjoy the world like the world. Again I trained them in HOLINESS!!! He found it to be true. It is truly a blessing, when your life is messed up in JESUS. It is truly something about that name JESUS.

Saw him in Albany Georgia .He sang and danced and preached.We came from Brownsville Tn. with our Pastor Dwight Sanders. We had a good time in the Lord. That was 1997. Will never forget it.

I love this, back when choirs were popular and singers really "sang!" Twinkie was singing, playing the keyboard, and helping direct the choir! That's real talent and anointing.
