Sometimes all it takes to make a track even cooler is simply showcasing all the regular parts it's makeup - such as Simenon's bass part in the intro, breakdown, and just more pronounced throughout. Someone was lucky enough to get the "stems" from this track!
i think its sort of remix ,where the initial drum break ,bassline where added-taken from the isolated instrumental parts that were on internet time ago -----cheers to all Clash Hardcore fans
I have not heard this version since my college radio days in the early 80's. An incredible version of a song that ages so well. I could see it fit with so many other songs if the 90,'s and 2000',s. Thanks so much for posting. ONLY thing better is seeing the Clash live which luckily I did on their final tour in 1984.
@@scottsears4996 "Strummers Ego" Damn That's 🤣🤣 and that's a pretty darn good description of their last album. The concert was still great but the Clash is not the same without Mick Jones as obviously "Train in Vain" and anything else he sang lead on was not played . Sadly I never got to see Mick Jones Live. I loved "B.A.D" but unfortunately they rarely toured in the US. Promoters Should be "Tarred and Feathered" for that.
@@mikelbc4308 84 was their last tour and Mick Jones had left the band so no "Train in Vain" but Joe Strummer took over and they really rocked. I am blessed that I got to see some of the great bands of that era "The Clash. The Ramones, The Police. Etc"
Superb! Don't think I've ever turned this song off or changed the channel of radio or playlist since its appearance 40+ years ago. This extended mix of tracks is a fine reward and worth the wait after decades of listening pleasure.

The clash is surely the best band to hit us in the timing that God gave us so 80 90 30 is good for me. I will always rank the clash as the best rckcknclsh groven for life stand 🧍♀️ 🙌 by I'm still in the mix shannon

Most music critics are frustrated musicians. Who would really take the time to leave a thumbs down rather than just move on if they didn't like what they heard? Envy sucks but only for the envious!
Can you provide any information about this track. A long time ago, for Christmas, I received what I thought was a promo 10" Vinyl that played at 45. This disk contained an extended version of Train in Vain. The vinyl got damaged and I have never been able to find or buy the tack since. I believe this is my long lost track. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Awesome! I have never heard this mix before. Sounds like it may have come from a DJ Remix Service, like Razormade, but a fan made mix from the isolated tracks is my second guess.
