I still remember the day my mom introduced me to this show (unless I watched it on Noggin years ago and have absolutely no memory of doing so). It was back in 2006. I was in 2nd Grade and got sick and went home early. We picked up my brother from preschool, got Girl Scout cookies and went to McDonald's (I decided to only get a cup of water). In the car, my mom told me she bought a DVD box set of The Electric Company and told me about the show and that she used it to watch it as a kid. When we got home, she gave me a new comforter so that I didn't have to keep borrowing my parents' and set up the portable DVD player in my bed. She decided to pull out a random disc (disc 3) and for about a second, I requested disc 1 but then quickly changed my mind. This is the first episode I saw and I was fascinated by the old 70's children's show feel and classic Sesame Street vibes it gave me and kept rewatching almost every scene.
"The Classic Electric Company - Episode 379 Is another one of my favorites. I really love the song "Randy" It's soo pretty & sweet. Such a catchy tune at 10:12 to 12:38. It's one of my favorite songs from the show...
I particularly like this episode because of all the "word animation" segments in it. They're like the little pieces of marshmallows in a bowl of Lucky Charms. ❤
