Just a small note, this is not a reupload. When I began my channel I had never created videos before so this will be reworked to be HD, better audio, etc with new sections and material covered. I’m happy to work on this since it was one of my favorites to create and is actually quite close to my heart. Thank you for supporting the beginning if you have seen a variation of this, I hope you enjoy this edition as well
Tell me Spencer Hastings is a capricorn without telling me she's a capricorn 😆 but fr she's determined, ambitious, sarcastic, perfectionist, thrives in being challenged. This is why I related to her and loved her character the most as a fellow capricorn
@@user-fy6ov3or7j so true, my mom and bf are both Virgos and they are perfectionists! I feel like Taurus have some of these qualities too. It might just be an earth sign thing haha
I love these video essays! How do you not have 5M subscribers?? It’s so clear so much work is put in these and so beautifully made. I love learning more about fashion through some of my favorite characters.
This show used to serve nothing but looks! I remember when this show aired I was in 9th grade and wanted nothing more than to dress like Spencer and Aria
Spencer was my favourite character as a young teen, I admired the fuck out of her and she’s one of the few characters that as I matured I could still fiercely love.
I love her she’s my favorite character and I dress the same way I love her style out of all of them except for Hanna, Mona, Melissa and Alison. Can you do an analysis of Mona, Melissa and Alison they have great style too I would watch.
Thank you, Hana! I went off her character biography so I believe she is formerly a lobbyist and her storyline ends as a law student who works at Hastings & Hastings
Please do an automated narrator voice, it will do a lot better than your natural voice if you can’t change the sex tone. Like I genuinely want to watch your videos but I put it on mute and read the CC because your voice is absolutely horrible.
I have issues breathing, it takes a lot of confidence to speak and put myself out there as I used to be so ashamed of how I naturally sounded. If you don’t like it I completely understand and don’t expect you to. I do my best to create and hope I can get my message across in spite of this
@@CleverAndChic I have issues breathing too and also anxiety. Apologies if I spoke out of turn but I've seen many girls on youtube with this affected, odd speech inflexion that seems to be a trend and therefore inauthentic. If this does not reflect you and it IS natural for you, fair enough but I've heard it a lot with "influencers" with a similar unnatural sounding way of speaking. I find it odd, that's all. Well done on your videos though.
Please just a tip: try not to read your script like you’re reading a sex novel, just tone down the sex voice, I can’t concentrate on the good synopsis because of the way you read your script… try to sound natural and not sultry and cringe
The voice in the video is so monotone and boring I want to jump out of my window. Never make a long video that requires focus while having this robot running in the background. It’s not a crime to have a back voice with a bit of personality that actually pronounces words and doesn’t speak with that voice.
Interesting video but honestly not a huge fan of the narration. If you’ve ever heard of “vocal fry,” it’s not very good for your voice and can be distracting. And there’s no need to over-enunciate since your mic is pretty good. Just speak naturally, you don’t need to try to sound sophisticated or sexy or anything like that, you’ve got a lovely voice!
There's nothing wrong with the narrator's voice. It's just the pacing and phrasing of the sentences (they'll sound like they've ended one sentence and began another bc of the inflection and tone, only for me to realise it's just a continuation of the last sentence), but the voice itself is fine. Some people just have vocal fry, it's not that deep.
@@MyLuxuryIndulgences I’m glad to hear. She makes amazing content. I know the style of voice isn’t for everyone but she still deserves to be appreciated.
My favorite character!!! I remember when I was in high school I'd write her name on my books and thinking that I'm her and I did very well that year lmao
I don't know if you're a sex and the city fan but all 4 women there have such iconic and distinctive wardrobes, I'd love to see an analysis of their styles!
Oh cmon it’s not that deep. The second I come with lazy clothes and undone hair people will also suspect something’s up. I like to look out together and idk how to style my waves and regardless I like the look of perfectly polished straight hair. I look messy without it, I can go without makeup but I will not survive a bad hair day
I'm 22 seconds in and just forcing myself to keep listening to that voice bc I'm interested in the content. I bet your voice sounds amazing naturally, no need to these lengths to distort it.
Honestly, that's the only reason the show's cool... Playing off emotions through fashion... The plotline is weak, brings up deep issues but never seems to deal with them, it's very forced and slow and tries too hard to be realistic
The constant mention of brands in the books was one of the first things that stood out to me as I was annotating. The sheer difference between the brands Spencer and Hanna would opt for is like that between night and day!
I love your analysis fashion wise, but as a humanities student I have to ask you to please use correct terminology or refrain from it: We don't need more misinformation and pseudo science. No more phlegmatic personality type etc, please. I don't mean to be all ivory tower-y; you can get yourself a good base by just watching Crash course psychology and Crash course sociology here in youtube. Sorry for the tone, but I see so much good in you and your content that it makes me emotional to hear it coupled with dated "science".
I’ve studied psychology and social science while in university. Each video also has a lot of research put into it. To me, speaking on personality types, mental health, etc is important to show no matter what someone looks like, comes from, is facing, etc these traits or experiences can still be present. A lot of people’s internal states impact their appearance, especially in this day and age. I would never do this for a real person, these characters can serve as a grounds to explore this part of one’s image in relation to the self or wellbeing. I believe it’s important and I do my best to fact check. I make all these videos myself so there are bound to be mistakes and I’m sorry for this. If you do not enjoy this sort of content, there are plenty of other fashion channels who do amazing work that just focus on fashion. I appreciate the recognition of the good part of my work
This explains so much, my family is so much like hers but I was always more like Aria/Hanna, however the older I get the more I am drawn towards her. Its so interesting to learn about all of this. Amazing job!
Please analyse Gemma Chan’s Astrid Leong character from Crazy Rich Asians - Although she’s not in the movie much, I think she is an intriguing character. And her fashion choices also add layers to her
I just love how you edit the videos, it fits perfectly with the fashion aesthetic, idk I’m ur fan, good luck with the next video btw, infinite love for pretty little liars💘
