The Cliff House is a Malaysia animated short produced by Yore Productions. It tells the story of an old man with his struggles and determination to build a tower in order to reach his goal. It was produced as a student graduation film and received multiple international awards.

What a beautiful film. I feel badly for those who didn't watch until the end or else did not understand the film’s meaning. I hope someday they experience the fact that in this life the only thing that makes it worth living through the rain and the earth quakes that life throws at us….the only thing that fills us with joy even through the pain…is love. Your little story really got me. Very cute and well done. I was just enjoying the nice way it was moving along and when the little old man meet his wife inside of the home and she had dinner ready for him I smiled and thought how nice. But I was surprised when suddenly she was not there any more because the little man was remembering her when she was alive. I wasn't ready for that and I just burst into tears! After that moment I kept getting sad because then he was ringing that little bell and I didn't understand until his wife appeared and that made me become even more sad. I am married happily to my little wife for 43 years now and so I guess this hit me hard because I thought if I ever loose her what am I going to do? So now I am seeing me and my wife in this situation as I am 70 and she is 66 years old. Ya, I know It's stupid but I'm a real ham for stories like this and I just wanted you to know that you really touched me with this story. Of course I loved the ending because the little man passed away and was with his wife again. So I went and found my wife in the kitchen making dinner and I grabbed her and gave her big hugs and kisses. She said what is this all for and I started crying again as I told her I'm a big jerk and I take you for granted all the time. I told her I was sorry for that and then I told her about your video and she just smiled because she knows how emotional I can get. I've always been a rough and tough guy but my weakness has always been when I see people in trouble or needing help and I just always try to help them. So your story really got to me and I appreciate it very much. Thanks for a cute little story that made me think about my life with my wife. You certainly deserve that GOLD AWARD!

Such a beautiful and touching movie. It moved me to tears. I'm maybe getting something from it other than what was intended. It seems to me that she was just a very vivid memory in the beginning of the film. So fresh and vivid it was easy to forget she was no longer there and he was alone. And then, as time marches on, dragging us ever farther from our loved ones that have gone on before us, he struggled to even hold on to her memory as all the things of the life they had shared began to age and fall to ruin, as things tend to do. He rebuilt as best he could with what was left. And held tight to all he could. Most especially, clinging tightly to the love and the memory of her. And in the end, he finally went on to join her and they are together again.

Words can' t describe the feelings which ran through my body and my soul while watching this beautiful film 🎥. I bursted into tears and thought about families which have problems like that each day. I thought, that my problems are not as important as the problems of the people living near me or in different countries. We should pay more attention to each other and try not to think just about of ourselves. We should give up our selfish intentions, our lack of consideration in order to help people with real problems. It was fantastic for me to watch this gorgeous old couple in the film, which helped each other through rain and bad times. Love and affection helped them to believe in the day of tomorrow in spite of their big burdens laying upon their shoulders. Never give up and helping each other when it' s possible is very important to survive in these difficult times. A wonderful film!

It feels like we're all very tired - we've gone past the point of blindly smashing everything we can get our hands on because we feel angry, lost and confused. In that place of stillness after a raging storm of emotions, we're finally becoming quiet enough to hear the voice within that says, "Keep going, keep reaching for each other, because loving each other is what really matters". ☮💚🌸

What a gift! This video came to me just when needed. Sonny, a feral cat I've loved, and fed for many years...haven't seen him for some days. I always call to him by ringing a little bell, just like the one in the video. Where is he? Ok? Not ok? Praying that he's not suffering? Did he die? Just keep ringing the bell...not knowing. Crying, and crying out. Can tears make rainbows like faceted crystals? And you know life's realities. You take a few deep breaths and find a bit of peace. You remember the Serenity Prayer, and resume your conversation with God. You know that you will ring that bell again, but the spirit tells you to put it down; let it go for a while. Looking over at the squirrel feeder, this little critter has found the peanuts and apple chunks. Today, he (or she) comes especially close and nibbled away on a piece of fruit. For us both, a gift. Sadness moves away a bit, and I smile. He has begun to trust me more. We are all connected. All life, perhaps all of creation, has a soul and possesses the spirit of God. A rainbow disguised as a little grey squirrel reminded me to also look up and outward. Bells can summon all sorts of blessings! My cat came back. Big rainbow! And tomorrow, as always, an unknown...but I have the bell. It rings love, and love finds a way to keep us connected. Well fed now, Sonny comes to me, and I scratch his ears and pet him. He'll stretch out and nap for a while, then wander off again. Blessings for his journey today. I'll ring the bell again tomorrow. Think the squirrels have caught on to this bell thing. Perhaps I'll see deer today, but for now, I need to scoop up some bird and sunflower seeds for their feeder. Indeed, blessings, all around us. Never forget that. .

I felt every emotion & feeling you've poured, beautifully written. I too feed several cats in my area, sometimes they don't visit for day's. I go out for searching every nook & corner for them, have sleepless nights if I can't find them. And when finally they come back, i can't express the feeling how happy I'm. Great job, I was impressed by the quality of the movements, their naturalness and the effects of the weather. Sometimes it has reminded me of my efforts to get my channel back up lol I really enjoyed watching it. I loved the ending.. Stay well.

Your "Cliff House" has clicked because it is about hope, love, and determination. Society is really in a bad way right now and it is wonderful to be able to visualize something like this that is able to relate those emotions in such a short space of time.

Part of the reason we produce this short, well partly is the requirement to finish our final year project, another part is we want to create something meaningful to the society. Like you said, society is really in a bad way and we dont see it will turn good in a short period of time. But what it could change in matter of second is us.

This was beautiful and unexpected. I dont know where it came from. The time, talent, and devotion it must've taken to create it. It touched me. I cried.
