Looks like that guy at 3:09 was the muppet from yesterday? Did he apologize? Also, super awesome race. Looked both fun and a little scary.

The sports psychology aspect is important. If you’re stressed out before but it’s not enough to effect your performance it seems fine but if you’re stressed and something bad happens it can send you to a stress level that will effect performance. Being as low stress as possible when the event starts is a skill you can practice. Breathing exercises are easy and give you a noticeable improvement.

Brilliant , enjoyed your insight into the race was marshalling at big deal on Fridays practice day and couldn't believe the commitment and speed of the riders that day was amazing to c everyone up close and have a bit of banter with yous before the descent to the end of the stage ...

The support that a pro riders like Richie Rude would get, would have to also be a factor. The bike would be dialed to within an inch of it's life, and the rider just has to focus on the race. Your onboard footage looked super fast, and it's almost hard to believe the top riders can go that much faster. Would be good to run a side by side comparison with the onboard footage from the pro riders to see where the time can be made up. Keep up the good work, the vids are very enjoyable.

great video, think they get better and better. With the pros I'm not sure they are pushing harder than us, they probably crash less, I just think being better and more experienced in all aspects of riding adds up. From my own riding I know the more I ride the more time seems to slow down and corners I use to feel fully committed on I can now roll round thinking about other things and be faster. Anyway great riding and effort to do the ews e aswell

Great video of a great race. That was a brilliant performance from you in a field like that, well done. Re your comments at the end about the pace differential between the top line pro riders and the rest, a huge amount of it will surely be down to the physical training programmes that they can undertake including the rest within that. Trying to stay fit while doing another full time job, yes you can be fit but you will never be at the level of a full time pro. With that fitness comes the benefits it brings on the mental side where the fatigue doesn't hit so soon so they can keep performing, making good decisions on line choice and braking points right through all the stages with minimal drop off.

The need for speed is In your d n a it’s part of your genetic makeup no matter how fast you go you need to go faster Richie rude is a very talented rider very gutsy and fearless and that’s what makes him hard to bear.
