The CoAnglers Chronicles Podcast Has Returned “Whats Next” 

I love this take! We just need to start the morning off right with a complete understanding of one another. Set rules and boundaries off jump and work together as much as we can look out for one another be respectful and as a co angler I always ask if I can take a pitch over yonder cause you never know if your boater is gonna hit that on the way back out of the creek or cove.

Insightful analysis! there is a Westcoast tournament circuit call "Won Bass". The circuit is primarily in California. Last month (January 2024) at our annual International Sportsmans Expo the Won Bass tournament director was aggressively advertising for Co-anglers to their upcoming tournament. He even walked up to people and asked them to sign up. Prospective co-anglers were whispering how much they resisted the aggressive appeal due to changing respect for co-anglers. I am sure your perspective vis-a-vie the forward facing sonar phenomena has also further discouraged co-anglers from participating as well. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

Ty great episode, I'm not for or against co-anglers. Over the years I have had far more good Co's than bad. That being said don't forget Co-anglers in most tournaments have only been around since the early 90s, prior to that it was team tournaments. Currently with the ffs situation look at what the ABA has done. So many co-anglers complained, and stopped payment because of feeling like the were being back boated because the boater was using ffs they did away with the Open Series and created a new "Pro" series which is just the opens with the entry increased to cover no co-anglers.

My take on it is as a co angler I’d be fine with them doing away with the co side because I already have a boat and if they did away with cos you wouldn’t need the split livewell which is why I didn’t fish as a boater before( my new boat has the dual livewells just not making the switch yet) but it would suck for the guys who don’t have a truck or boat
