Ameland is one of the five major Wadden islands in the north of the Netherlands. It boasts of its beautiful forests, beaches, and dunes. The island offers scenic views, a relaxed atmosphere, and a perfect date with nature.
The island is inhabited by around 4000 people whose main occupation is tourism along with trade and farming. There are four villages - Nes, Hollum, Ballum and Buren. Ameland belongs to the province of Friesland in the Netherlands.
