Thanks! It's not painful, thankfully. I've worked on my "gravely" voice for a while to find a way to do it without straining my voice or hurting my throat. Glad you like it!
Being a voice actor is a wonderful talent in it's own right, which props for, but the way you're able to change your voice in such a broad variety while singing is on a different level
Also thank you for providing lyrics to your videos, I don't think I've shown my appreciation for that before. I don't process audio perfectly and often miss words. They make it possible to enjoy the song fully :) thank you
Gosh dangit I love you guys, I love that this is music that reminds me so much of the best of the 60's and 70's rock scene, it tells stories, it has personality. I even showed some "The Cog is dead." stuff to my dad, whom has played guitar for 50 years and is indeed very into Beatles, the doors, David Bowie and so forth. He was young when they were big and played their music back then. And I am very pleased to say he liked it to. We need more of this kind of music in the world, seriously. It has also inspired me to write some music numbers which are a bit more Rock oriented, I usually write what people call. "Musical songs." But well, YOU tell stories with soft rock numbers, so why not me?! Though I doubt I will be that good but HEY! Nothing to do but to go for it! :D
Thanks so much, that's awesome! Glad your dad likes the music too! And you should definitely go for it when it comes to writing. Really, regarding music, it's always best to write music in styles that you're passionate about and that you enjoy. From day one the goal with The Cog is Dead's music was just to have fun and write what you love. ^_^
@@thecogisdead He literately called you "A bunch of perky boys!" And yeah definitely! When you have fun with what you do, it shines through! I can definitely feel that with your music! It is FUN music, and fun listening to! Your passion shines through. I LOVE how much personality you guys have! Thank you for the reply, made my day! Well evening, I'm from Denmark so it's night night. Lot's of love from Denmark from a perky gal and her rock loving dad! We both love you guys! And love to see music with personality is being made and strives.
I have fond memories of Belting out The Cog Is Dead songs at the train station, entertaining everyone while we waited for the train. I hurt my throat singing this one, but it was worth it.
Just got turned down from my dream job ... Twice. It's time to either meet this Mr. Lowe or build a steam powered airship. I'm open to either or both really.
😍Love your songs, it has the old school raspy sound. It's amazing how unique to me your music is. I can actually visualize this song and where it takes place. Like somewhere in a steampunk bar, as it's being played and people sitting around listening. I don't know why, but that's what I picture. Either way it's amazing how every song I can see a story💛🧡❤️ Great Work
I've been listening to you guys since "The Death of the Cog". And even though I've loved every song you guys have put out, I gotta say.. This is definitely my favorite.
I just discovered that you all came out with a new Album this month. I have listened to it like 12 times already in the past 4 days and have got several of my friends hooked. I really love your bands music and this song has passed TDOTC and Time machine as my fav. Along with some returning singles that made it on this album, I love this one and Steaklas. They are just wonderful. Keep up the amazing work! Also, I love how you songs tell stories, those are my favorite type of songs. Reminiscent of Marty Robbins.
Huge fan of you guys. Another Cog in the Machine is one of my favorites! And you know what? I might use as an inspiration song in a book I’m working on!
I just imagine some fancy gentlemen with a top hat, cane, and long coat walking the slums giving out houses and pointing people to places that will give them work.
I think I've been around 50 of those views. I don't know why, but it is probably my favorite one of your songs. But that's like picking my favorite LOTR movie. XD They're all amazing.
I think this was the second song I heard from you and now I'm hooked, I have yet to find a song that was not amazing. I also appreciate the eclectic style you have because my music taste ranges from Cab Calloway to Metallica and just about every where in between. It's nice to see I'm not the only one who doesn't get stuck in a certain style. keep up the great work and I can't wait to see you live. Hopefully soon.
