Driving your car up the mountain is expensive I never did the train up the mountain just by car but it was well worth the money. Too bad Mobleinstinct did not film the cool museum at the base of the mountain on the auto road

The 231 mph wind gust was a world record for many years in 2010 in Australia broke the record at 253 mph

@@rogerstlaurent8704 , I believe that because of the instruments used that there is some dispute , either way those are some wind 💨 gust, almost as wicked as the ‘ol dogs 🐕 gas !!

@@MobileInstinct2 It's worth the trip. Especially with the makeover completed. Remember that it's extremely cold at the top. Don't let warm weather at the bottom fool you. And you can see wildlife on the way up. Bring a camera for sure. Extinct volcanos are close by...

Its the highest peak on the eastern side of the U.S. But not too high compared to the west. 6,288 ft
