@@BertbertYT yes, Thor: The Dark World post credit scene. It was mentioned by Thor at Infinity War, Thor said that to the GotG team; Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, and Mantis goes to the knowhere (the collector place) to get the Reality Stone and for Groot, RABBIT, and Thor goes to Nidavellir to create a new weapon for Thor.
The Collector is one of the Elders of the Universe, an immortal being billions of years old. So is the Grandmaster, though the MCU writers chose to make a buffoon of him. Ego, the living planet, was also considered an Elder, though the MCU writers chose to fuck that up and have him call himself a Celestial.
@@shards8300 especially if you're living your life just collecting stuffs. The Grandmaster looks more happy than the collector probably because he watches gladiator everyday lol
Just like real life, at one point the Atomic Bomb was considered the pinnacle of Warfare but nowadays we have weapons that make it look like a Firecracker.
I know where you got the paperweight idea from and im not gonna say the show but for a clue i will just say "it is adorable you think you can manipulate me.
The atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II-codenamed "Little Boy" and "Fat Man," respectively-caused widespread destruction, leveled cities, and killed between 90,000 and 166,000 people in Hiroshima (about 20,000 of which were soldiers), and between 39,000 and 80,000 in Nagasaki. ☢️ You love nuclear. So do we. Let's nerd out over nuclear together. These are the only two nuclear weapons ever used in warfare, and let's hope it stays that way, because some of the nuclear weapons today are more than 3,000 times as powerful as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. The largest nuclear weapon ever detonated, the Tsar Bomba, set off by the Soviet Union in 1961, produced an insane 50-megaton blast-about 3,333 times more powerful than the Little Boy bomb that leveled an entire city.
@@izzanirfan2534 do you know anything about the marvel universe? They don’t work outside of their own universe. Darkseid couldn’t even use them. 😒 what fear? There are way more powerful beings out there.
Let's apreciate the fact that, unlike most scenes where a precious macguffin is being traded/sold, this guy was NOT going to betray them, sell them out or kill them, and in fact, was about to PAY them before shit went down.
I love the version of this on How It Should Have Ended, where just when the girl is about to grab the stone, Rocket shoots her, and says 'Sorry, but she looked like she was going to come between me becoming stupid rich. That'll be 3 Billion Credits please.'
I love how there's always a character like this in comics, whose role is to 'collect and preserve' all of the most dangerous artifacts. You know that they exist only to be raided and have the dangerous things stolen later on. As soon as you see this guy you know his collection will be destroyed and he'll be killed so that a villain can steal from him. And that's exactly what happens
even if hes like the guy from mib who gets his head blown up all the time its true he just exists to store all the mighty items and then gets "killed" and looted whenever a bad guys comes up... but i dont know if its any worse than the "we split these 5 relics around the galaxy so no one will ever find them but heres how we will get them during this week"
Two things I like about this scene: 1.) Gamora's first reaction is to protect Peter 2.) Rocket does a 180 afterwards and doesn't care if they're not paid for the job after seeing what it can do.
God, lady, did you even pay attention to the Powerpoint presentation?! Edit: Holy crap, 4400 likes! Thanks, peeps, even if too many people just had to take this way too seriously. ;-)
if only this joke made any sense, the infinity stones only work inside their home universe and are, as the TVA put it, literally just paperweights outside of their universe.
Man, there are such a powerful beings in Marvel which are beyond the power of the Infinity Stones I'm talking about some like Living Tribunal, Galactus or Celestial's race
Yeah i think so too. Hearing him say that people who touched it died made her think she is special. Maybe she wanted both. Maybe for a short time the power to kill him and then being destroyed by the power.
Wow, I actually never thought about the scene this way. I always think she wants to get power. I mean, she could suicide anytime anyway, don’t have to use an infinity stone😂😂
@THE JURASSIC KING How? I suppose, technically, we could learn of an older wielder of the Soul Stone that had an "H" in their name, but other than that I can't see anything else.
Is no one going to talk about Eson the searcher? Eternals trailer: Well we'll make them talk! Edit: it's not eson, I mean here it is Eson but in the eternals it's Arishem the judge
Its crazy when you remember that the Collector and Grandmaster are timeless beings called Elders, that are capable of wielding the stones the same as Celestials, and that the Collector almost had two, and if he was actively pursuing them wouldve had four pretty easily, and would only struggle for the time and soul stone. Kinda mind fucking that the Elders can potentially pose a larger threat than Thanos and Dormamu posed if they truly wanted. They have the power, influence, wealth, mass support, and wisdom, all they needed now, was motivation. Which, hilariously is what both of them lacked due to being so old. 14 billion plus years robs them of any long term entertainment that the two Elders we know in the MCU for the most part have pretty laid back hobbies
The Elders have fixations like psychopaths, whatever their fixation is, it becomes their primary goal in life. If one of them had fixated on something akin to it, they would rofl stomp almost anyone else in the universe trying to stop them, because they, basically are unkillable unless their mental fixation dies out, they are mentally based beings that only really cease when their will to exist stops.
This scene pretty much confirms how strong Thanos is, he was able to carry all the stones with his hands while everyone needed an object to carry the stones like exemple Loki and Dr Strange and Vision, Ultron
@@natrix126 Well, in Endgame Thanos takes the Power Stone out of the Gauntlet and punches Captain Marvel using its power. In that moment he was using the Stone barehanded.
And how Infinity War has them downgraded is beyond anything. Ether was a comic relief reality altering. Powerstone waves lol, Thanos Titan battle sequence, it was a joke he was so normal on them (plot armor) and the space stone, except for 2-3 instances we never get to see it. And ultimately the comical part of Iron Man using and the absolute joke being hoe the snap can be done by any person. The explanation, the lore everything is destroyed past Winter Soldier MCU, The reason being Bob Iger started to intervene in the Fiege's work. Read up. But no one knows this and now MCU has become SJW nonsense (Eternals announcement, Captain Marvel) a big shame to intelligence.
well if thanos almost died by using the 6 stones dont get clear how he could destroy the stones without die... also..time stone ban DURMAMU to invade our dimension..so,, is weird...
Ha I’m gonna break the rules and longer be your slave by touching this incredibly dangerous and ancient object that will most certainly kill me and probably blow up half the planet. Wait why did it kill me? Surprised Pikachu face
Yep exactly she thought the stone could make her powerful enough to get rid of the Collector. Allowing her to do whatever she wanted but was suprised to learn she wasn't strong enough.
Nomad Lord Seeing as their plots are still central and well likely be seeing mistress death, Adam warlock, Thane, Galactus and several other even more powerful villains come soon, I doubt it'll be disappointing.
Nomad Lord There's still Galactus, possibly Apocalypse rebooted when Disney gets fox, Adam Warlock/Magus, Eternity, and grandmaster and tivan are likely still alive. They are too crafty to be killed that easily, and even then are barred from deaths realm, so they would just take a different form. They've also been too well developed and hyped, and we've still only really seen two so far. Grandmaster survived his crash on Sakaar by the way, along with topaz, and when it showed them breaking out of their crashed ship, they had a mob before them. However, a mob of regular people would be no match for him lol. And we didn't see tivan die, we saw an illusion of him created by the reality Stone. No one knows if he's alive or dead, same with Hela. Low and behold, most thought red skull died. I didn't, and he returned as the keeper of the soul stone.
Give credit where credit is due. Groot has your back at all times, he'll lay down his life for a friend without hesitation. The stuff only the truest of friends are made of. Respect.
Collector: Only the most powerful beings can wield the stones *Shows picture of people dying while wielding it*. Very weak alien girl: *I Am Going To Grab It*
Dustin Cross now that Disney bought fox I really hope to see Galactus in a future MCU film. Though I hope they don't make him a cloud like in the Fantastic Four movie.
0:16 this shot where del Toro is looking up at the holograms and then down directly at the camera is like hypnotism--I feel like I've seen it in a silent film
Yeah, but that would only delay emergences. Population would go back up soon enough. The Infinity Stones are Limitless. Thanos could do whatever he wanted.
The Collector: “These stones, it seems, can only be brandished by beings of extraordinary strength! 😳" Casey: "Some of the guys use them as paperweights! 😃"
Nah even more great is how foundational it is to the lore of the MCU now, and that it was thought up by one man rather than a team, the people in charged like kevin feige just decided it was a good enough idea to not retcon it. At least not yet anyway lol.
Largatha it’s all the remaining avengers who have interacted with an infinity stone in some profound way. Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel have powers that directly stem from being exposed to them. Jane had weird visions in Dark world and is about to (presumably) have the power of Thor. Strange already has magical powers but did a lot with the time stone. Quill is half celestial and had powers for a while. ... And then there’s poor hawkeye 😂 Who knows if they’ll take this in any meaningful direction, but it’d be interesting, considering how the stones themselves are all gone, reduced to atoms. Plus its perfectly balanced (3 men and 3 women) And all of them have movies or series coming up.
Okay but why would a Celestial need to use the power stone to wipe out a planet? These are suppossed to be dudes that could go toe-to-toe with Galactus.
