Looking back at this six whole years after this was originally published, now that we are deep into the Post-FNaF 3 Era, I have to be honest… I really like this version of canon. It’s rather simple, but rich though not to the point of being overwhelmingly complicated like how FNaF has been cluttering its lore for 5 years. I kinda wish that this theory was true to an extent. FNaF was just more mysterious when in it was in its first few months of existence. More alluring. There was room for more creative, interesting theories. Sure, not all of them were good, but they had a lot more wiggle room than they do now.

Maybe, but FNAF is also one of the most amazing mysteries ever made. And I think the world--which currently has so much trouble telling truth from flasehood--could benefit by learning about how such things work. And the story I'm uncovering about a family of dysfunctional mad scientists seems ultimately to have a more powerful message about how Revenge Only Makes Things Worse, and that chaos results when you exclude someone from a group simply because they are different, even if they still belong. This early script had a nice little "Pinky and the Brain" mentality to it. But it was just that... a rehash of Pinky and the Brain. Not something new that the world had never seen before. There will always be a place for fan theories and AUs and fan fiction. Even if FNAF's defining answer is revealed, I don't think those things will stop.

@@BlackfootFerret don't you're overrating FNAF lore a little bit? It's clear that the original story (FNAF 1-3) is the best due to how simple and objetive it was, and still an interesting story. FNAF 4 afterwards is just a tangled mess. Lots of concepts being introduced and explained in different media. Characters with lack of development. Etc

It actually predicts a few later elements * While the idea of being two killers was wrong, it did predict Purple Guy was an influential and high ranking member of the Fazbear Corporation * That one of the other founding members of the company was a partner of the Purple Guy. Though Henry wasn't a sinister magenta man but good to William's evil * That Purple Guy was a mad scientist

Ainrev White Thank you :) I know I won't always get it right.. I was dead wrong about Golden Freddy in episode One until I made the leap that he *had* been stuffed in the suit, but was then torn out of it. I thought about the story a lot, and this is my best shot at explaining it, and I think I turned up a few interesting things. I'm glad it at least makes a good story :)

SurfBeta146 The Purple Guy easter egg in FNAF 4 is when I felt like cheering :) For a moment, you see both golden suits, Purple Guy, AND Spring Freddy (Fredbear) with someone with black eyes inside. Both Color Brothers on the screen at once. Two Villains is now a fact :)

+Pizza Slice "The Silver Eyes" is set in its own universe, however it gives tons of clues about the game story as well, I'll be doing a video on it when I get back from Xmas vacation. But for starters it proves *Two Villains *All 5 kids were killed in Springlock Suits *Golden Freddy is a ghost *There are no partial Springlock failures, it's like a chain reaction *The Purple Guy used the Spring Bonnie suit in the murders *The Purple Guy has been Pink Guy's partner for years *Charlie's father, The Pink Guy, invented the Animatronics and is a Mad Scientist *Pink Guy wore the Spring Fredbear suit while Purple Guy wore the Spring Bonnie suit. And we see exactly how someone becomes an animatronic at the end of the book. There are so many parallels to The Color Brothers that I can't even list them all.

+BlackfootFerret This is a pretty good theory although it's a bit far fetched. However I don't see how the novel suggests that there were 2 villains. Henry was innocent in the novel. On top of that there's no way henry became spring freddy. Henry killed himself but phone guy was stuffed Also I think Henry would confront Dave if he knew he was killing his own son I mean you said Purple guy knows pink guy. Anyway the novel isn't canon to this story. Also one question. How could the weapon Purple guy is using in SAVETHEM be a springcrank? Sprincranks only work on Springlock animatronics. Freddy isn't a springlock suit. Btw Don't call mangle a she like it was confirmed. Call mangle an it to respect the opinion's of others. Or just give evidence to support your claim. Also I read the script for jeremy's last sight. It's a good story itself but it's much more like a fanfic.

+Ocean Ocean Henry killed himself INSIDE AN ENDOSKELETON. He designed them.. he knows what they're made for. I firmly believe that is the Spring Fredbear endoskeleton, sans its costume. Henry has always worn the Fredbear suit, the reason the animatronics freaked out the day Michael was abducted is because both Fredbear and Purple Guy (as the technician) were in the room. The novel even shows Henry in a photo 'Pink after wearing the suit a long time' while Spring Bonnie/DAVE is right there next to him. Charlie's Dad is not nearly as innocent as he seems, a man destroyed by his obsessions. Don't forget Dad worked with the man who killed his son all through the second restaurant. The novel leave both Springtrap and Fredbear stuffed and alive for the next book, after explicitly showing how a person becomes an animatronic. Henry might have been trying to make his son immortal.. Sammy's fate is unresolved, he's definitely someone important. Foxy? The Marionette?.. or Shadow Bonnie..

Personally I prefer this take on the lore, to some extent. The whimsical, yet benevolent, nature of the William Afton you describe seems fitting. Granting wishes with such twisted costs. Truly give new meaning to their happiest day.

his theory fits well. many theorize that the purple guy owns the new sister location, and perhaps sister location is actually a reboot instead of a sister location. what if pink guy owns it and all evidence for purple guy owning the resteraunt/entertainment center is just because he is co-owner? the theories fit great! i think scott has been shaking his head for a long time about us getting theory after theory incorrect. i wonder why scott has taken absolutely no notice toward this great theory... or has he?

FNAF 4 has mostly played out my predictions.. although I did learn I missed the story of one major character, and with him in the story I've had to make some revisions. I have another video coming, hopefully before Halloween.

I wanna say how much I LOVE your theory. makes the most sense. The problem I have with Gametheory is him saying Phone Guy is purple guy when that's impossible. He DIED before that flashback happened! The animatronics were trashed! How could that happen BEFORE Mike comes in??? The establishment was also even more damaged than during the game. Again, it means the flashback happened AFTER Fnaf 1. The single villain theory just had too many holes in it. Why make the purple guy look different (Pink guy) within the SAME GAME?? MatPat was right but only half right in saying the Phone guy was responsible. Mike was involved too. I can't wait to see you expand on this with Fnaf 4. I thought it was interesting how we see references to BOTH Purple Guy and Phone Guy. :) The lore in this series is why I love it so much.

+Rebecca D Scott tells an amazing story, I just wish more could see it, I've been trying to show this to MatPat and his other theorists, but so far no luck. One way or another, the truth will get out, I believe Scott is going to reveal most of the story at Halloween. With help from others, hopefully the net will see this video before then :)

The Final Jam is "Keep Quiet" by The Protomen, on their second Megaman-inspired rock opera :) The story goes that Dr Light, with Wily's help, has created a project to save mankind from the type of manual labor that killed his coal miner father. However, once they both turn the keys to switch it on, Wily sends a robot to kill Dr Light's girlfriend.. and frame Light himself for it. Light has to run to the abandoned section of town, hunted by robots, while Wily takes full control over the project, and spreads rumors of The Evil Doctor Light as if he were the boogeyman. Years later, when Wily's robots have taken most control away from an atrophied humankind, a brave young man (the lead singer in "Keep Quiet") decides he doesn't believe the rumors, and goes to the abandoned district to try and find Light himself. He runs into the same robot that killed the girlfriend, tries to run, and is about to die when Light shows up and blasts the robot with a laser, then brings the guy down into....

... Into his secret lair to discuss what to do next. It really stuck me how well the song fits with FNAF. Jeremy could be the brave investigator, with the female animatronics as backup singers, who warn him not to continue. Jeremy sees something in the darkness, refuses to run, and demands that it come out and fight... and a grinning Springtrap steps onto the stage to oblige him.

Unfortunately I believe I've figured out who Shadow Bonnie is in the "Jeremy's Last Sight" script.. and it changes the Ending in a major way. Every episode it seems to make some breakthroughs, then get a few things wrong. But I home in on the truth further each time.

It definitely feels weird to feel nostalgia over a video like this. But what can I say? This video was and is excellent. There's more to theory videos than evidence and snarky jokes, there's showmanship. You're telling a story, even if it is technically someone elses, act like it! Not to mention how much it managed to somehow predict, the existance of Henry as the co-inventor and pilot of Fredbear, the buyout by Afton Robotics, Cassidy's whole "one you should not have killed" thing dating back to the first game. This video is always worth coming back to in its own right and as a relic of back when even the tetrology wasn't finished.

MAN your theory is the correct one because of the sister location final cutscene of Michael Afton, and your theory came up as the correct one, but the thing is, MA (Michael Afton) is the Purple Guy/Mike Schimidt, and the Pink Guy, the CEO is Willian Afton, MA Father, and "Afton Junior" the child in the minigame of FNAF 4, (Not THE ONE IN THE BED, BECAUSE THE ONE IN THE BED IS MA), is the Puppet, indicating that the paper Puppet, paper Spring Bonnie, paper Spring Freddie, ARE A FAMILY, THE AFTON FAMILY. I suggest that you update this theory but instead of being the color brothers it's the COLOR FAMILY.

BlackfootFerret Oh yeah. Light Up The Night is easier to show to people, but Keep Quiet is just a more thrilling song IMO. Though if I had to name their best song, I'd call Breaking Out - not that that'd be as good a fit as Keep Quiet was for the ending!

+Pizza Guy I could claim advanced insight.. but really it was me throwing darts at a dartboard for about 4 months, then rigging up the TF2 HEAVY gun Sasha to fire darts in the general direction of the dartboard, until the entire surface of the wall was covered in several inches of broken wood and metal, except for the conspiciously untouched dartboard itself. But when I went for the Mad Scientist theory.. suddenly everything fell into place and made sense. I was able to build on it from there.

I did, Episode 3 isn't done as a video yet, but I posted the script for it in my update video, there's a link to it at the beginning and end of "The Color Brothers". With the exception of adding Shadow Bonnie to the story, which radically changes the ending, just about everything else in The Color Brothers stands, right down to Jeremy being our point of view character in FNAF 4.

What happened to springtrap after the fire? and most importantly, the ultimate question, what happened to Pink Guy/Phone Guy/Phone Freddy in FNAF 3, and after FNAF 3?

Springtrap is actually possessed by Shadow Bonnie, who hides in the Spring Bonnie suit until Purple Guy enters it, then throws the springlocks himself, trapping Purple Guy inside. Shadow Bonnie is the kid who was stuffed into Spring Bonnie in the Purple Guy Easter Egg in FNAF 4, something I didn't know when I made "The Color Brothers" Shadow Bonnie tries (successfully) to shut down the FNAF 2 restaurant.. by possessing Spring Bonnie and killing the 5 children who became the Toy Animatronics, in a blood-spattered massacre that left pools of blood and bodies scattered throughout the FNAF 2 establishment, something too big for Phone Guy to cover up, leading to FNAF 2's closure. "Springtrap" attacks you in FNAF 3 because you're wearing a Fazbear uniform, and he believes you're one of Phone Guy's goons, and deserve to die. He also chased Balloon Boy's voice.. because he KILLED Balloon Boy, and wonders what the hell is going on. Spring Fredbear (which I called Spring Freddy all through The Color Brothers because I wasn't sure of the name yet) is the one that calls Dude Guy and tricks him into releasing "Springtrap", thinking he's getting his friend Mike back, but doesn't realize Shadow Bonnie is the one controlling the suit. Shadow Bonnie and Fredbear have a showdown afterwards, ending the story of FNAF for good.

nexus of lies Yeah.. I mostly built this channel with my compiled DND videos, and now Wizards has gotten smart and is releasing uncensored multi-hour full-length roleplaying gameplay videos. Which is GOOD.. but also means my work is basically done there. I'm starting to reinvent myself as a theorist, going to take time to attract a new fanbase. Although any help you and others can give is certainly appreciated :)

Your modern interpretation of the lore with the horcruxes and Charlie being the main villain may have more evidence backing it up, and is more likely to be close to what Scott actually intended, but your original interpretation of the lore with Henry as the big bad is still interesting, and makes for a compelling narrative, as outdated as it now is.

Well, Fazbear Entertainment is the evil corporation behind most of the horror, and Henry founded that. Shadow Freddy might very well be working for her father, I see several victims and victimizers in a circling chain.

Well, I'm glad you liked the video enough to watch it again. I do try to highlight the music whenever I can :) Sure, go ahead and use F.E.A.R. I didn't make it, I just discovered it. I think now that most of the really bad "Phone Guy" tapes were actually recorded by Shadow Freddy, mimicing his voice in the way that Ennard does later on. So perhaps Phone Guy really didn't know his daughter Charlie had moved the focus of the family business from putting their own souls into robots.. to essentially stealing the souls of stranger and collecting them in those heads.

i just realized i cant use the FEAR idea. Fnaf 3 may be more of a finale than fnaf 4 (with fnaf 4 being the beginning of the story and fnaf 3 being the end) but the mere existence of Afton robotics's is a sister location plot line the original fnaf story was done with fnaf 4 and silver eye's sister location may have been based off fnaf but it is an entirely new series when it come's to fnaf 1-4-silver eye's the story IS done. finished we had all the pieces by the time silver eye's was out which mean's sister location wont reveal anything about that specific dimension of the fnaf multiverse CAUSE THE ORIGINAL FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S STORY IS FINISHED also i just realized something that basically makes the why would phone guy be nervous in his G1 N4 phone call an epic fail on my part Henry didn't have any idea that the kids were gonna let him live again in the "Lock Down" Suit So he acted nervous about what he saw cause if anyone Were to have actually looked in the heads in the back than whoever heard the phone call would realize that there were kids stuffed into the suit's and if Henry acted calm then whoever the guard was would realize that Henry was perfectly fine with 4 kid's being stuffed into suit's of course he didn't realize that his own son Mike Shmiht (the fnaf 4 kid's bully brother) would be the only one that didnt run away before the 3rd night and stayed there so he could figure out what happened to his long missing dad also like i said before pink guy cant be a separate person cause of the idea of William being purple because hes a shady guy (aka what im now calling the "Murderous Purple Principle") proves it in more ways than explaining why William changes how dark he is cause if this was the case then Henry would be even darker then William in a dark back room in fnaf 4. and get this HE IS in fnaf 3 purple Freddy/fredbear/lock-down is the darkest shade of purple seen in the entire series (and Shadow Bonnie in the fnaf 3 after night minigame's doesn't count cause that's extremely dark blue)

I have real proof that Purple Guy isn't the murderer,welp...atleast that he is innocent. Now, u will all be saying, but he is and we saw him in act. So, yeah...purple guy and pink guy are proven to exist and murder the kids, right? If you are a theorist or at least know the lore of the game, u will know that FNAF: SL, changes the biggest and mysterious fact and theory in the whole game. The theory of Purple guy and his massive murder of innocent children. He is forced to do it, actually, can't even do anything about it. Long story short, at the end of the real ending of Sister Location, Purple Guy's skin gets used for the animatronic "Ennard" to escape. This explains a lot of the murderers of Purple guy in Fnaf 3. Ennard, uses Purple Guy's skin to escape out of the Sister Location, and roam around the outside of the inner walls, killing innocent children. Your asking, but, wait. Isn't baby the one to use Purple Guy skin? No,matter of fact Ennard has a little bit of everyone inside of him, that means that if he escapes, every animatronic escapes with him, sounds weird for some, but just for some. A CON about this theory tho is: He spreads blood when he goes inside one of the springtrap suits in Fnaf 3. PS: Can "it's me" refer to Ennard possibly?

While I don't entirely agree that the Purple Guy is 100% innocent, I do think he's gotten a very bad rap. There are only two deaths so far that I can see William having a person hand in in FNAF 1-4: The two-child incident that happened on June 26th, 1983, and pre-dated the MCI (the FNAF 1 posters make it look like it's the same incident, but one captures a human on camera, while the other specifically shows "a cartoon mascot". Spring Bonnie was never in the cartoon) These where Phone Guy/Pink Guy's children, Sammy and Charlie, and they became the Shadow Animatronics, who then went on to engineer both the MCI and Save Them massacres. Whether or not the death of Phone Guy's children was actually an accident, or a revenge murder for Phone Guy/Henry/Pink Guy killing William's daughter (The Puppet) earlier on to get the family business closed so it could be taken over by Fazbear Entertainment, is still an item for debate. Revenge, and its toxic effect of making things worse rather than better, does seem to be a resonating theme in FNAF though. I do believe that Sister Location, while an Alternate Universe where some bits of lore have been flipped, is still designed to teach us the relationship between Golden Freddy (Baby) and Shadow Freddy (Ennard), who consumed the souls of the other animatronics, gaining control over them. I do believe that Yellowbear in FNAF 1 is Shadow Freddy, rather than Golden Freddy. Golden Freddy WASN'T killed by Purple Guy, and would have no reason for getting revenge on him.. yet Shadow Freddy WAS killed him by, and would have a motive for revenge. Since Ennard represents Shadow Freddy, "It's Me" certainly could refer to her.

One major reason was because I also had a theory that there is indeed, a pink guy but when I searched it up in youtube there were almost no results involving Pink guy. It's because of that I lost my confidence in my own theory. So when I finally saw a theory involving pink guy with alot of evidence, honestly I was kinda overjoyed since this theory could've gotten popular in the fandom back then.

But I try hard to carefully look over the lore and fit as much of it together as possible. There are a lot of pieces of FNAF to find, and they are likely in several theories out there. I live everything about this. You especially caught my attention with the whole pink/phone guy manipulated the rights to Freddy so he could open a kid trap, as I had a very similar theory. My only thing is that I believe there's a possibility that Mike is the FNAF4 victim's brother, and that he's possibly hallucinating GF as reminder or a haunting of his brother, being the one who's most definitely shared more with GF than anyone else. "It's me" could be his way of telling mike he's in the suit. Buuuut with that said, I'm heavily intrigued by your take on this t oo.

I'll say out of all the theories, this one is absolutely the best and most detailed. It takes a special personality type to sort through and find all these subtle clues and connections. I'm not that observant by a long shot lol. Who do you think Shadow Bonnie is? He's the one character that's an absolute mystery to me.

Seth Nix I've always been pretty OCD, it's usually a curse, but sometimes it helps me stay focused. Shadow Bonnie is the short person (I think he's a kid) that Purple Guy stuffs into Spring Bonnie in the Purple Guy Easter Egg in FNAF 4. His origin is very similiar to Golden Freddy, just in the other golden suit. I believe Shadow Bonnie is actually the one who caused the Save Them massacre shortly before Jeremy's shift in FNAF 2, deliberately causing a huge mess to try and get FNAF 2 shut down, possessing the Spring Bonnie suit and trying to frame Purple Guy, the guy who killed him, for the murders. Later, when Purple Guy and Shadow Freddy return to the FNAF 1 location to trash the rebellious animatronics that stuffed Phone Guy, Shadow Bonnie hides out inside the Spring Bonnie suit. The rain isn't what causes the springlocks to fail on Purple Guy.. SB does it, and makes Purple Guy a prisoner inside his own suit.

+BlackfootFerret You just filled a huge whole in lore logic for me. That's absolutely perfect. No one, that I know of, has really considered that another soul(s) could be residing in the same suits. Everyone just assumes that the suits are possessed individually at different times, though they may be, I don't know. But SB causing the spring failure just adds on more to the kids' vengeance rather than PG just being an idiot.

Thanks for the sub! I think I made some headway on FNAF in this early video, although I still missed the role of both Shadows in the story, and that Purple Guy was largely innocent. But in terms of two men being involved, and robots being used to collect human souls, The Color Brothers made progress on the story.
