The Colossal Void Leviathan we all missed.. - Subnautica Deep Dive - Modded 

So many people went through the Sock mod but many of us if not all of us ignored the world eating giant that appeared briefly right in front of us. It makes the garg look like a snack and there is nothing on the planet it would consider a threat. I genuinely hope there are plans to do something further with it in the future!! Can i get some feedback on the voice command mod? It's pretty cool and i'd love to keep using it and maybe see if it can be enhanced, If enough of you are interested i'll ask if i can share it too!

I think that... THING is a reference to an old Subnautica creepypasta known as "The thing in the void" where the writer dives into the void and see's a glowing green light, they fallow it only to be meat with a massive multi-eyed organism that swiftly constricts the player and drag's it into one of several mouths lining it's body.

Since the garg is tiny compared to it, I now realize why the garg’s eyes are on it’s side- as a prey animal would have.

The gargantuan leviathan mod was born from intense curiosity and the terror of seeing something that size. It was made with dedication and passion and took a long time to perfect. And its brilliant and feels like a genuine part of the game, just dwelling in the void. Everything else feels like it's just half assed giant monsters made for the sake of having "bigger" even though it always feels clunky and unpolished

First rule of the ocean and void:there is always a bigger fish.

At this point the modders are going to retcon it in that the entire planet is a meta-leviathan itself, these creatures just keep getting bigger.

We have the Garg, we have... *_that_* thing, but there is a larger creature still, a being that no modder has attempted. The Single Cell Biome has yet to be explored.

Two things 1. I cried laughing that he basically used Star Platinum as a gun. Getting scared in the shallows first thing out of his mouth was “star platinum“ 2. The noises scared him so bad, my man really said “the S word”

a leviathan that you can swim inside, and that has specific materials or ingredients inside its belly, a great idea for the subnautica devs.

Since Star Platinum is a mod, it got me thinking. I feel like Jotaro would like Subnautica, and take a pacifism approach. He's canonically a marine biologist.

Honestly the giant mouth was what I was hoping the devs would block the void with if u go WAY too far. Just u go so far the devs just say nope and this grabs u and slowly drag u into its mouth no matter what you are in.

That speech mod with the JoJo mod is ultimate proof that we *need* a JoJo game with voice activation like that. How awesome would that be?!

If I knew how to make mods, I'd make a parody mod called the 'absurd leviathan' that is just a giant creature that eats the whole planet and gives you a game over.

When you spawned him in, the purple dots freaked me out because I thought those were its eyes, in and out, like tumors. I refer to 15:03 and moving forward with the fog. The blue big "eyes" feels like they are just blind, foggy and all. To me this feels like the beast is... part of the biome itself, the abyss, the void. It's not a big creature that moves around, it's an eldritch mass that is part of the VOID... So I would say it would connect to a tumor, grotess like biomass deeper, and this is one of its mouth. Remember the old concept of the VOID, with black biomass that latch onto your ship? I say the Leviathan is that but empowered by Cthulhu Steroid.

Glad the voice / star platinum mod is getting some coverage finally… was definitely the most **interesting** mod I ever made. Maybe I went a little insane.

12:55 Those could be recepters for either blood, or electrorecepters which can locate prey by the electricity they emit. Both of these can be found on sharks so its not impossible in nature, but definitely is different in the world of subnautica

As cool as it is to imagine the Colossal Void Leviathan's full size, it's funny to imagine it's Langolier shaped and its basically just the mouth.

The voice command mod is pretty amazing, I'm surprised voice commands aren't becoming a more common game mechanic now that voice recognition software has made so many advancements. You could have a pokemon battle and actually command with your voice for example.

there was a legend about some "Void Optic Leviathan" which was incredibly big, this could be it

That voice command mod is the most brilliant thing I have ever seen in any game, every game should have it.

Eels do have nostrils, as the rely heavily on scent for locate their food, which is usually dead or weakened prey (making them scavengers, such as vultures). So the Blaza Leviathan being a excessively lengthy eel boi, it makes sense for it to have those nostrils to sniff out the corpses of dead leviathans the nibble on.

the design really reminded me of a scallop shell with the blue eyes between ranges of teeth and I think that may have been the inspiration of the developper when they made this creature

Ehh I think the garg is still way better. Unless they put an actual cool model for the body, it's basically just a mouth. Its just a really big pacman.

I'd kinda want that thing to be like a giant clam, it's already got the multiple eyes around the mouth for it, and something that utterly massive would take a lot of energy to move, so to me a lure/ambush predator clam makes sense. Also dead million and billionaires is not a tragedy, its a good start.

Propellerless propulsion is actually a thing. 16:36 I think they probably designed this to be a 'boundary deterrent' like when you reach the edge of the map and a shark gets you or it reloads the game putting you in the proper direction. Just imagine going too far past the void and an automatic animation starts where your character sees that tongue (possibly meant to glow like an angler fish lure) and you're swallowed by this massive creature with unholy sound design to boot.
