I really enjoyed this video. It’s been a topic on my mind for the past several years, where I see my children, who were earnestly taught gospel principles in their youth, becoming distracted by the world and less interested in attending church, reading scriptures, going to the temple, etc.

These lessons are excellent. Anyone can spare 15-20 minutes and well worth the investment of a little time. Keep up this good work.

Whether we live in a time of apostasy or in a time of righteousness, our purpose remains the same which is to return to our lord Heavenly Father by trusting in the lord with all thine heart for he is the source of all truth.

This is a wonderful and meaningful video that hits at the heart of the problems in our younger generations now days. The loss of faith and the misunderstanding of "Truth" is becoming more and more prevalent in the world and even in the church. Our Faith is certainly being tested, but I am so happy and feel blessed that God has increased my faith in the Church of Jesus Christ and in the Gospel of Christ and has given me a sure knowledge that the Church and the Gospel principles and the Book of Mormon are true. God lives and loves his children immensely and wants us to return back to our home in the heavens, where he and Jesus Christ dwell, through obedience to the ordinances and principles of the true gospel of Christ.

Anyone who wishes to challenge my religion, I give a simple answer. As a young missionary in his first assignment in Fredrickstad, Norway, after fasting and after reading the Book of Mormon, I did ask Heavenly Father if it is true and if Joseph Smith restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ, I did receive an overwhelming witness of the Holy Ghost. This, I will never deny. It is true.

Thank you dear brother for this amazing video. We as Latter Day Saints must study diligently all the scriptures and not only the BOM. There are hidden treasures in the Bible that if we don't study with the guidance of the Holy Ghost we won't be able to accept the higher laws given to us today.. I love the scriptures from the bible you mentioned in this lesson today. Yes the dear Prophets and other servants of the Lord like you help us understand the scriptures,but we must have our own way through the Holy Ghost a solid testimony of these truths.And then go to work diligently starting in our own home in bringing souls unto Christ.This is our calling and the reason why we came to this earth.No other purpose. I found these truths through pouring out my heart to God like Enoch. And then as soon as we learn a principle we must practice it. Otherwise we are showing our love to. God only with our lips.

This is a very timely video. I received a personal revelation that there will be a big commotion in the church within the next three years and it will be a very hard time for the church. I was warned by the Spirit to stick to what I already know and not to follow those who will apostate. I feel prompted to share this warning here.

Read the Screwtape Letters By C.S Lewis. It was eye opening to me about how temptation and deception work in our lives. In the last year I have had two siblings jump ship and are actively working on others in the family. They can’t have their opinions and go quietly.

Sadly, all my children have fallen for the world's lies to one degree or another. Even among the older members I find many who embrace those lies and employ mental gymnastics to force the gospel to fit with them. There will need to be a purification of the church before it will be ready to receive the Savior.

My wife left the Church recently. She does not want to know anything from the bible. Bible scripture means nothing to her because she says she has her own relationship with God and he understands her. We are now getting a Divorce because of this, she fell too far away wants nothing to do with God in our household and does not even want to talk about it. It's sad to see. I have also seen family who were into God and the bible fall away and have justified thier sinful lives as "he would understand" or there is more time. Sad to see.

I was expecting this channel to be hokey but it's really professional. There's just a lot out there that is poorly made, sensational, or is problematic in some way.

There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books. Great read.

Deception is terrifying because you can't know when its happening to one's self, which is why being close to God is essential. Also, its not only a principle of ignorance and weakness on one's part but of Satan's power, and his power in deception will increase as the end times come to a close, which means power in Christ needs to be increasing as well.

I think this is starting to happen right now, I see many members leaving and the persecution and the anti-mormon videos on the internet is abundant. I watch this 3 years ago before my mission and now I'm back, I see it unfolding before my eyes

Jesus told us what we must bring to him for our spiritual mind to be opened. A broken heart and a contrite spirit. Unless we lay these two on the altar, the effectual door will not open. It's impossible for the worldly mind to comprehend truth. So then truth, Jesus the Christ, is rejected!

I feel sad for those intellectuals. My one question to any atheist is what is the purpose of living then? Would it not be better to eliminate all life on earth than to continue with this pain, suffering and selfishness? Even the most hardened hedonist must answer the question regarding the greatest peace which would be to not feel anything. No pain, not agony, no stress, no anger, no hatred...etc... Christ teaches us it is to become better and more like him and the father. Their logic and reason has failed them and it will continue to do so. Without Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation there is no purpose in life. It has no lasting baring and a video game would have as much bearing in the grand scheme of things as actually living in this world does.

We do not need to think of this as a “coming apostasy“, but rather an ongoing apostasy. These are the people who were given the seed but it was tossed on the wayside or in the stony places or among thorns.

If you think being married to the Church is avoiding apostasy, you might be guilty of it yourself. Nephi clearly states what we in the Church are missing in 2 Nephi 28:26-27. Many outside of the Church are of the church of the Lamb, and many withing the church are of the church of the devil. The sifting of the wheat and the tares begins in the Lord's house, and goes out to the world once the saints are taken care of and there is no more pollution in the land of inheritance. We are now neck deep in apostasy as many of the prophets of old have foretold.

Our apologetics site or sites are run by LDS people, usually very well qualified LDS scholars, who can give good answers and explain them well. The church does not pay these people; their work is not a church calling. Those who run the site do it because they wish to provide accurate information freely and respectfully for anyone who genuinely has questions for which he or she would honestly like to have real answers. Thank you very kindly for taking the time to make these videos. I am learning a great deal; do you have a knack for putting information together in a way that I have not. :-)

A good hearted attempt but some really big misconceptions. One for example, a Mormon apologist is not a member apologizing for being a Mormon. A Mormon apologist is someone who defends the faith. A Christian apologist is someone who defends Christianity. I am LDS by the way.

1 of the biggest if not the biggest apostasy thats happened was when the apostles died off. As the apostles also spoke of the last days beginning in their time. Otherwise why did the ancient leaders like Peter & Moses need to replant the priesthood keys again onto Joseph. But yes, I believe their is a big shake up coming soon, & likely has to be. One must be very careful when attempting to place a timeframe on scripture prophecy. One must also take care when hearing the words of those who seek to teach others, choosing to have faith in Christ and his wisdom and not the wisdom of men.

As an LDS scientist I released a youtube series on science vs atheism. The notion that logic only leads away from religion is pure nonsense. Logic can be directed to conclude literally anything. It is subjective and has no scientific value.

This man appears to have a very sound understanding of religious doctrine and of the things that I have heard him say I have not had any disagreement, but here is my concern: If I were in his place I would be introducing myself and telling people how I know what I know. I would not expect people to merely hear my voice and believe what I say. People do have a right to know who a person is and his background in order to decide whether to give credence to his word. I have heard him speak on several subjects, liked what I have heard and yet am still clueless as to who he is. I could not watch the news link of why millennials are leaving the church, so what happened?

It is not one third, it is "the third part", or "a third part". There is no mention of 1/3 in the scriptures - we do not know what percentage of the pre-existant souls were cast out. I know we like to take that as a Mormon tradition, but the scriptures do not teach that 1/3 were cast out, but that there was a third part that was cast out. In the pre-existence there were three distinct groups: the noble and great ones (Abraham 3:22,23); these noble and great ones were the ones willing to make covenants concerning obedience and sacrifice in the pre-existence (we learn this in the temple); there was a part that was cast out (the third part), and everyone else (the second part). Three groups in the pre-existence, one of them was cast out - the third part.

The information age.... really? We have nearly half of the American people who were getting their news from one source, a source that presented news stories from a conservative perspective. That presentation of news from a conservative perspective changed over time to twisting the news to please their viewers. It got to the point that when someone on that network did tell the truth, the viewers would all in with death threats and demand that person be fired... for telling the truth. This network also has several programs, different shows, and the most popular ones seem to be opinion shows, but during the entire time that on-air personality is giving their own opinion, the logo for the network displays the word NEWS on screen the entire time. Even when talking about an outlandish conspiracy that is obviously false and beyond absurd, it is presented as true (with the "News" logo on display). Several on-air anchors resigned from the network because they recognized that they were no longer expected to present the news, but they were expected to lie, to ignore news their viewers wouldn't like (like something positive about Pres. Obama and something negative about Trump). Studies were done and found that people who got their "news" exclusively from that network were grossly uninformed about what was going on in the world, especially politics, and were grossly misinformed and believed in a lot of the absurdities they heard on this network, but that had been debunked beyond a doubt. Others saw the success of this network and spawned copycats and perpetuated the lies and hatred. In addition, they also flooded the internet with these lies and conspiracies. Then a president comes along, and his lies are reported as truth, they ignore his blunders and demonize political adversaries with the most despicable lies, even accusing some of murder and pedophilia-- which is beyond disturbing, and also untrue. The truly sick thing is that people had to think those things up in order to start a conspiracy, a lie, and people believed this rubbish. There were also extensive false "news" websites online that had ties to foreign actors and hired by foreign governments that spread lies and created controversies. So, with a president who appealed to the racism that had been subdued and quieted down for a while, giving permission to be open and loud about their hatred of minorities, particularly those from south of the border, has stirred up a lot of contention in the United States, with hate crimes surging and attention drawn to cops who shoot or kill unarmed black males without just cause and without justice served. The false reporting of "news", reporting lies as truth, is nothing short of propaganda. Now, we have nearly half of Americans who are eligible to vote who are living in an alternate reality believing false things to be true, and truth to be false, and they are vocal, loud, and have used physical violence and carried out threats, and an insurrection occurred at the steps and within our nation's Capitol building. The lying president was voted out of office in excess of 7 million votes, and yet his supporters are deluded into think he won and that Democrats cheated when every single elected official in close call states checked and double checked and saw no indication of fraud. The Homeland Security's election team of experts also found no fraud and the leaders of that organization were all Trump appointments. So, nearly 1/2 of the country has been led astray, they have had to ignore the racism, and ignore the hundreds of missing kids that were taken from their parents (parents deported without their kids) and can no longer be found because of the Trump admin. took such terrible notes, or no notes at all, as to where these children had been sent. Hundreds still missing. I have to say that they had no intention of returning these kids to their parents. The criminal behavior of that president and members of his family, lawyers, team, and administration is a mountain of corruption. The mismanagement and constant lying about the pandemic has resulted in over 600,000 dead Americans. Incompetence, and the unwillingness to go all out to stop the virus because it was seen as something detrimental to Trump personally, has caused these deaths. If he had told the truth and worked hard to get people to do what was needed to be done, not as many would have died, and more people would be vaccinated. But right-wing media, namely Fox "news", Newsmax, and others, have turned the age of information into the age of lies and propaganda. So, that is the information these people are getting when they look for answers to anything. Personally, I used several sources to discover the truth, and none of them are the proven-propaganda networks and sites. There's a quote of Trump from the 2016 campaign where he replies to a question with, "I don't know. What do I know? I only know something if it is found on the internet."

I love how people leave the church out of "logic". Eesh. In other words, they're suffering from the Dunning Kreuger effect. And it's nuts how they think they understand the whole universe because some other people reference how "science =/= scripture" and they just trust it even though they've never understood either. I’m married to a Mormon but I am not. I respect his belief out of love for him but don’t not believe it myself. I just wanted to say, that yes, we can find ANYTHING on line but I believe most of us who are strong in our faith would check resources & church history. The church history is what makes me doubt the church. Most of the videos I have seen are done my Mormons & ex-Mormons who have been in the religion for YEARS so I have to give that credibility as well, that they know what they are talking about. I understand there are haters, as with any religion, & that breaks my heart because I KNOW that is NOT what Jesus stands for. It's more convenient to get answers from the internet than from the Lord. They prefer a convenient god.

* The first commandment God gave Moses is, Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3) It is the first commandment because all the wars of the Old Testament occurred due to Israel disobeyed the command putting Lucifer above God. (Isaiah 14:13) Our Lord said, I do nothing save what I have seen my Father do. (John 5:19) What someone does and what is done to someone are two different things. Our Lord did not nail Himself to the cross nor did He resurrect Himself. The cross was done to Him by evil men and the Father resurrected Him. I do nothing save what I have seen my Father do refers to the Holy Ghost. For the Holy Ghost descended upon Him like a dove. And the New Testament says, In him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9) No Scripture says the Father appeared to our Lord during His earthly existence. And what did our Lord do? The scripture says, For he went about doing good. (Acts 10:38) Our Lord often referred to Himself as the Son of Man. Our Lord is the Son of Man because our Lord was born. And by one man who was not born, by this man’s disobedience, we all die. But by One Man who was born, by this Man’s righteousness, death was overcome. Consider the greatness of Adam. Adam was not born. Adam is not the son of man. Adam is the son of The Man of Holiness making Adam a son of God. And Adam having not been born is greater than us all. Therefore, was Adam chosen, that in Adam we all die and in Adam we are all on probation with God. But consider our Lord, Jesus Christ, who, like all of us was born. Only Christ was born in righteousness and having no disobedience, even unto the suffering of the cross by which he partook of that bitter cup the unborn man Adam could not bear and brought us the better, even the first resurrection. For Jesus Christ is greater than Adam. Jesus Christ is the greatest of all. Jesus Christ is the Mark and beyond the Mark, there is none. (Jacob 4:14) Our Father in heaven gave our Lord, Jesus Christ, both titles of The Father and The Son. The prophet Abinadi details for us why that is so. (Mosiah 15:2-5) And to Abinadi's testimony I add my testimony that Jesus Christ is both the Father and the Son because there are no gods before Him. The scientists say that matter/energy cannot be created or destroyed. God is eternal. What comes out of God is therefore eternal. And just as matter/energy cannot be created or destroyed having come out of eternal, neither can God be created or destroyed. The first commandment God gave Moses is, Thou shalt have no other gods before me. The commandment was given because our God is not a lesser God leaving Lucifer nowhere to go. And this is life eternal that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. Why would our Lord return to Saints who believe He is an infinity lesser God? That a being greater than Himself created Him? (Hebrews 6:13) That His title The Most High God is a lie?

When I finally ws decided on coming back to church, ws right before the beginning of the Trump campaign. Unbeknownst to me of political future of the country, I move my family back to SLC. The church standings and NOT speaking up for those that were oppressed at the time ws disheartening and downright cruel to ppl who thought the LDS church would stand up for LOVE and acceptance. NOT really one word. EVEN THE POPE SPOKE UP. Then the inauguration came and LDS Mormon Tabernacle CHOIR sang and stood by Donald Trump, a world renowned LIAR AND HATE filled instagater MAN CHILD. I WS DONE.

I am a member, and I have many family and yes neighbors that all left the church because of the way the members treated them. I was mistreated prior to my joining and after. I don't attend church for the members but because it is a commandment by our father in Heaven. This perspective helps me to deal with those who feel the need to be better than others or just to be number 1. I love this church. I didn't join because i was told to, but because I know that the gospel it teaches is true. I love my ward now that my perspective has changed. I hope many others will be able to find that peace only the Church of Jesus Christ can offer.

I just spent an entire week about 18 hours a day to research many topics and I'm burned out. It's true ever learning but there is so much hypocrisy. I'm tired. I finally stuck up for my religion. I'm getting my patriarchal blessing.

The pressure to not follow Christ is very real and to leave the church is very real. I have been down this path myself to follow myself or to fit in the world but i went nowhere's in my life because of that thinking. However, I have been marking harder efforts to follow Christ more then my own understanding and i do come up short many times but remembering my past daily helps me to focus more on Christ and not repeat my past life ever again.

You are absolutely correct. Truth is a characteristic of God, like love and light. We are incapable of knowing truth because we cannot know all details on any topic (we don't know what we don't). The wise lean only on the arm of God, and lean not on the arm of man. Divinely inspired scripture is the only way back to Heavenly Father.

I’m 33 trying to get married again haha. Still in the gospel and love the lord my god and savior. So grateful for these videos and for the restored gospel to be on the earth. You need to be a deep thinker and reasoner and rely on the Holy Ghost in all your questions with faith.

I think the gospel of Jesus Christ is the Plan of happiness. I tested the scriptures and prayed the Heavenly Father about what I was learning. That was before I was baptized. I know it's true The only way to find out the truth is to read & prayer, ponder, ask questions of God our spirit father in the of Jesus Christ if the holy ghost will testify of their truth.

I have often found it fascinating that the Angel Moroni on the Salt Lake Temple dropped its trumpet during that earthquake a couple years ago. It had survived countless earthquakes, storms and even a tornado previously, but one minor quake caused the trumpet to fall onto the roof of the temple. It made me think of the rending of the temple veil in Jerusalem following the crucifixion and it made me wonder if it was some sort of sign, perhaps declaring the end of some kind of era or the beginning of a new one. Is there anything the scriptures might say about this?

I love watching the anti-mormon videos, they always make me laugh and always strengthen my testimony. Two things come to mind when I watch them - 1. You can leave the church but you can't leave the church alone and 2. If the Gospel wasn't true why would Satan put so much effort into corrupting the hearts of those who have experienced it and felt it's truthfulness?

It has been my experience that most people become inactive because it becomes inconvenient to be active in the church.

I LOVE how people are so prideful when they say that they are logical, like being logical is above everything else and if you aren't logical you are "just so stupid, bless your heart." It don't get any more logical than me. I am comparing and contrasting, removing emotion from arguments, trying to view things from all sides, and constantly questioning every point of view, even my own. Additionally, as a librarian, I look at these "kids" in their 20's as the biggest Freaking morons. I just spent a little over a decade in education and I only met one or 2 kids out of thousands that could critically think and NONE of them, NOT ONE could research to find the answer unless it was something clearly defined and simple like, "What is the current time in Paris" and they would google it. And yet THEY believe they are sooooooo smart. These two girls look to me like such unbelievable fools. I'm actually embarrassed for them.

I also think people leave the church is because of rude and mean people of the church. It is sad but true, we have a friend that was newly baptized and she went to her ward, and she said someone hurt her feelings, so she left the church. :(

Enjoyed this very much, but at 10:45 you misinterpreted with word "apologist". Ironically, it does not mean "to apologize". It actually means quite the opposite: it's a person who makes a defense in speech or writing of a belief, idea, etc.

Being an apologist of something doesn't mean you "apologize" for it. It means you DEFEND it. Being an apologist of your faith is a GOOD thing. Look up apologetics.

People are leaving the church because of deceitful "elders" or "prophets". (EDIT)- People are leaving the church for reasons, one of them might be deceitful leadership, faulty interpretations of scripture, defiled scripture or scripture that is meant to test or build our faith in overarching principles taught in other scriptures---. I think I am not a part of the church yet, mainly because of false teachings, yet I believe the church is true. One of the main points I think we have misinterpreted is gay marriage. I think marriage is ok between two consenting adults. Everyone has male and female qualities and it is a heavenly privilege to balance the two within ourselves. I consider we were once genderless beings and we descended and split into a duality. Sex became necessary for procreation. I consider this is why intercourse can be reserved for marriage and or procreation, in order to make steps toward returning to a godly form.
