I remember the indonesian volleyball player (woman)who compete and found out to be man and eventually marry his girl yet no sanction has been made and now recently the player from vietnam womans team (thuyen) is said to be man also i think the asean sports org must look into this.
So one is a woman (maybe intersex) who identifies as a man, but is allowed to compete because she doesn’t have elevated testosterone. The other grew up as a female, but sex and genetics are in question (and might be intersex) is also allowed to compete BUT with elevated testosterone. So I think the issue is not the sex/gender, it’s the elevated testosterone, which is the same as being on PEDS.

I have a different point of view. DSD is a rare disorder and it is improper to describe women as men because of how they look or behave. Let us be reminded that the Olympic is to unite the world in peaceful competition and foster an atmosphere of peace, development, resilience, tolerance and understanding. In order to achieve this mission, the IOC and the Olympic Movement need to stay neutral and beyond politics. So far, arguments that trans athletes have an unfair advantage lack evidence to support.

In every competition, there are rules and qualifications set by a committee/body hence they are the deciding body here. Technically, that athlete is qualified for all I know.

People dont seem to know how gender is determined. Its not by genitallia but rather by chromosomes. So yes there are cases wherein someone may have undevelope genitalia but have pre demoninantly xy chromosomes so therefore its a male. Xy means stronger built and punches. If IBA deemed to disqualify them they have a good reason and seems to want to protect the sports of boxing and female boxers. Now IBA and IOC have a long standing feud so therefore they just want to oppose IBA risking female athletes.

why was she suspended? because it turns out she is a he with XY chromosomes. why was she tested? because other boxers and officials started to wonder if she is really a she. and according to the rules and regulations, if there is any question on eligibility of a boxer, gender tests can be administered to verify gender and it revealed that she has XY chromosomes and is a man.
