I dedicate this song to my Queen of 27 years, the mother of my children, and the very best friend I ever had. Sadly, she passed away on December 19, 2020, and although I will miss her dearly, I will always cherish the love we had, and she will live on in my heart and beautiful memories for the rest of my life.

This song is to my beloved grandmother. After she died this song played on her radio in her house when we went to remove her belongings. Every word rings true for me. She (and my grandfather who died years earlier) was my rock in an otherwise very dysfunctional family.

When I saw all of the versions of her song technically distorted and misrepresented, and termed them to be an "insult to" MS Oslin's integrity (etc.) I Googled YOU because your videos are so expertly representative of the original artists' accuracy in lyrics as well as the technical aspects of the music being represented... I see at your website you are "doing these for your own pleasure..." and I just want you to know that as a songwriter and musician, that they have brought me MORE than just "pleasure." Their technical quality as well as lyrical (phrasing and rhythmic) content give me new FAITH in those who are "profiting from" the many replays and reproductions of the originators' works! I want to ask, are you a composer, an instrumentalist, or a singer? (Your sense of "timing" is impeccable, and singers really appreciate that, especially when they're trying to sing Karaoke !) I enjoy listening to the OLDIES but GOODIES, especially, however, it always bothered me that so man bands "seemed" to be pushing thier artists through the reciting of many beautiful lyrics. I met a guitarist at Soundcloud, who's an arranger, and quite a versatile classical guitarist. I sent to him ACAPELLA versions of my "remakes" of some of those "oldies," and asked him toinvent (arrange) his own arrangements of my " acapella solos." My first choice was " I Fall to Pieces," and I'm not really sure that he had even admired the great MS Patsy Cline--but his backup was absolutely beautiful... I tried "Heartaches" and rephrased the Bobby Vinton hit "There, I've Said it Again." and dedicated MY version TO " Songwriters" in particular...I love songwriters, so the lyrics came easily to me. I put it on an album for CDBaby, and they said I could not "utilize" other composers' copyrighted originals, but when I put it on my Bandcamp album, "they" had no comment. Since many of MY friends like the oldies, some have suggested that I "put the lyrics into the video" somehow so that they can 'read and sing along," with me! Are you able to find time to help a struggling songwriter a bit, and what would you charge me to put, for example, the lyrics phrased correctly that would coincide correctly WITH " I Fall to Pieces With a Touch of Class-ical Guitar?" I actually have a whole ALBUM of reworked oldies, as well as about three hundred ORIGINALS sitting in my old Windows Seven Free Audacity Program waiting to be re-recorded also. Would you please consider giving me a price, and take a look at the songs mentioned above? I realize I've been a "Master at Procrastinating," (Ha, "The Master Procrastinator?" While I was teaching school, I rubbed elbows with many artists as well as their offspring-but I never thought it ethical to utilize educational relationships to the extent of contacting parents of the children I'd taught! At Meadow Oaks School in Calabasas, both Barbara's son as well as Steely Dan's, were in my summer classes, and the principal of the school actually complimented me ON expressing those standards of ethics. This is the song that will played as we walk in with the coffin at my nan's funeral on the 31/08/21. In the middle for reflection music we'll have 'let it be' and to walk out after the service it will be 'green green grass of home. My family has been destroyed. 2011 my grandad died of bowel cancer. 2012 my uncle died of prostate cancer (spread all over his body and eventually to his brain) 2012 another uncle died of kidney and liver failure 2016 my other uncle died of lung cancer 2018 my other grandad died of bowel cancer 2019 my nan died of sepsis (Hospital neglect) 2021 my other nan died of cardiac arrest. I really don't know how i will cope at this funeral this one will hurt. I had 4 grandparents in 2010 now i have 0 I had 4 uncles in 2011 now i have 1 my friend took his own life in 2007 my friend died in her sleep in 2010 (epileptic seizure) Right now i just wish no one i know will die for a long, long time and give me a friggin break from funerals and sadness. May they all rest in piece, I miss every single one of them, time doesn't heal it just papers over the cracks, eventually you just learn to live with how you feel, but you never truly get over it. That's 7 coffins i have had to carry in 11 years.
