@@Diego31415 Kirby's orange alt in Ultimate looks like he ate too many carrots. Also, it sometimes looks like the same pink as the regular Kirby.

Actually, kirby was made to be the most beginner friendly character, ideal for first timers (multiple jumps, simple jab, non complex tilts and smash attacks and decent run speed) so people could learn the basics of the game before jumping to more specialized characters. As the game is first and foremost a party platform fighter, certain characters were made to be functional, not viable, Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, Little Mac, Incineroar among others have certain niche in which they excel, while others like fox, meta knight, cloud or joker are clearly more geared to competitive. 1 v 1 fights. Smash isnt the only game that does this, other fighting games also have characters with niche, experimental movesets that appeal to players that want to experiment, not to compete, while players that compete usually go for straighforward high tier characters. Bloody Roar has characters like Stun (my main) and Busuzima, who arent exactly high tier, but have interesting movesets based on wrestling and confusion fu respectively, and OP Banned characters like Uranus and Chronos, for players that just want to have fun.

@@ayar2 I get Kirby’s underwhelmed and uninteresting kit comes from Kirby being the starter beginner character of the game. I’d argue Mario is still THE beginner character, the basic fighter, and he’s still amazing. He has all the basic tools and he still is better than Kirby by miles. Kirby has simple tilts and smashes, and allowing to copy the Neutral Special lets players try and test out other characters movesets, like a sample of what other characters have to offer. I understand what you’re saying, and I get the points you’re making, but as one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises, I think the character deserves better, and that’s not even starting to think about how much potential his current kit has and how much potential his kit has taking into consideration how many different abilities he has, but that’s another topic for another comment (p much I want smash to be revamped and have all the original fighters get updates and changes to make them feel more fresh and up to date. Mario with Cappy, Samus with Samus retunes counter or maybe a weapon change system, Kirby with more interesting and dynamic moves) I guess I’m just against the design of “let’s make this character bad for the sake of being easy to learn” when Mario is already an easy and simple character to learn with a lot of depth. Like Ryu and Ken, across the entire series, they are at the very least decent, some great, some only ok, but they aren’t made to be “bad” but ig that’s comparing a traditional fighter to smash or a platform fighter.

@@vicctretamaj7289 Ill also like for some updates to the moveset of some veteran fighters, including my main Samus, but I guess since Ultimate reused many assets in order to save time and resources, and dedicate those to the implementation of the new challengers, some sacrifices were made in order to make ultimate the. . , well,. . ultimate crossover,. at least they revamped most of the Final Smashes so they can properly kill (emphasis in "most"). Im glad I can at least charge in mid air, since Samus is so floaty, every time someone sends me flying, I have time to charge my beam, drink some tea and solve the newspaper crossword in my way down.

Kirby can't really be good anymore, his traits are so bit too hard to be used competitively

@@illford6921 because Kirby was made mainly for casual play, I have noticed that many people that plays the game for the first time and dont have the intention to compete gravitates towards either Kirby or Yoshi.

@a guy Nah, he only needs 3 core buffs: 1. Final Cutter 23>13. This will help him anti air reliably (catching jumps is one of Kirby's weaknesses). 2. Dair 18>12 This will buff Kirby's damage output and advantage state A LOT. He'll be like Luigi when he gets one grab. 3.Inhale swallow faf should be

@DJ Drizzy Didn't you know that In Ultimate he can become High or S Tier if he buffs his speed, air speed, weight and low jump that he jump a bit lower so he can combo with aerials But if they do this i will become a kirby main and stop Using Kirby as a secondary I use Ness, Lucas Because his a bit slow and bad ;-; But he will buff if the community do the right thing

@@vei4851 The buffs I listed would make him high tier at least. Kirby's jumps are already low and his weight is not a problem. He and Pikachu weigh the same, but nobody mentions buffing Pika's weight. Honestly, it sounds like you need to improve your Kirby skills before saying he's bad or suggesting unnecessary buffs. @@djdrizzy9139 I think a speed buff would be much more helpful to Kirby. I definitely agree that inhale needs less lag but kirby struggles the most in neutral. Your buffs are good though I think a speed buff is much more needed.

Brawl Kirby is easily the most balanced of the five kirbys, which is why he's still the most fun to play (though i still love 64 Kirby obviously). He has two combo throws, by far the best hammer of the 4 kirby's, the most range outside of 64 Kirby, the best back air, and the second best air game outside 64 Kirby. I really hate the ground based gameplay smash 4 and ultimate Kirby decided to go for, I want to see a return to form.

Final Cutter isn't terrible at all. It's a solid move that's only held back by start up.

It's bizzarre how bad his hammer was in melee, how good it was in brawl, and how bad it was from there on.

I miss brawl Kirby's hammer, it would've been amazing in a game like Ultimate

@@ignorantfoolartur9242 It was a great recover option and would have been great to use as a neutral/edge guarding tool. Really wish theu would at least make Ultimate hammer faster in the air, it's way too slow.

@@vei4851 Just practice your dair rides, you'll get it eventually. The harder part is looping them, but getting one as a kill confirm is simple enough.

I would love for Kirby to get buffed but i understand why he won't. First off, I think the main reason Kirby isn't getting any buffs is because Sakurai doesn't want to give too much Kirby bias in smash which is why all the Kirby characters suck in ultimate. The 2nd reason why Kirby isn't getting any buffs is because he is essentially ment to be the tutorial character for smash bros and after you're done with the tutorial, you move onto the main game (that last statement hurts but unfortunately that's what Kirby is designed to be like). If I were to give him buffs, I would make it so that Kirby could become a low mid tier character so that he doesn't become to complicated for new smash players but also so that new smash bros players actually have a chance to win against other people. Another reason I would make Kirby a low mid tier is so that Kirby doesn't over sentralize the meta (like with pikachu, fox, meta knight, and bayo back then in their respective titles) that's just my opinion on the hole matter tho and you can feel free to disagree

I get what you're saying, but also, it's not uncommon for people to use titles to refer to people instead of names, as a way to put the significance of something into perspective, for example I've heard lots of people say "The greatest LOL player in the world" instead of mentioning Faker, or instead of Mentioning Michael Jordan they say "the best basketball player in history" just not saying his name doesn't come off as erasure, but also it's not a bad thing that the scene is trying to distance itself from those people who have done bad things, they still acknowledged what he did, but didn't associate him by name if you want more people to come into the scene this is how it is done, by pruning the toxicity and distancing from it

What he said is a way to emphasize how important that win was, saying "he beat the best Mario in smash 4" has more force than saying "he beat Ally". And on top of that saying it that way also avoids the negative connotations about him

ZumiHara I would agree if they did this for literally anyone else in the video, but imo it is clear that they do it to try to redact ally. I understand why they did it and disagree, but it was definitely intentional. They also did it to Zero in one of the other smash character history videos (I don’t remember exactly which one but I think it was Fox)

@@Snowballsage Link is actually pretty popular in low level smash. People who pick him up really enjoy his powerful, hard to punish smash attacks, spammable projectiles and easy to use recovery.
