Stray Kids were the first kpop group I ever heard and checked out. For me it all started with the dance practice video of Gods Menu back in December of 2020, after that I was hooked and had to learn more about them. I spent the next several months diving deep into their discography, interviews, performances, EVERYTHING you could possibly think of. It is now 2024 and I am so proud of them and how far they have come. Because of Stray Kids I was introduced to a whole new world of music that has brought me such joy and taught me many things about myself. Listening to all of their older tracks brings back so many good memories for me because it was a time where I was really working on bettering myself and they helped me achieve that, especially Bang Chan (leader).
Both Chan and Felix are Australian, and all the members, with the exception of Lee Know, are learning to be fluent in English as well. 3 are already there.
"You have so much talent that you've accumulated over the years now you're no longer inside of this box of what's expected. The standard for you is to be held outside of the box of the unexpected"... What an amazing freaking quote and so absolutely true for them as artists. They are incredibly unique and most certainly uncommon in kpop or music in general worldwide, in my opinion. They cross musical boundaries and creativity that make us question what we just heard and why we're still listening to it...and then ask ourselves why is it so addictive though lol. That's Straykids in a nutshell tbh. Any Straykids song that someone doesn't like on 1st listen (I've been there done that), I always say listen to it 3 times, then judge it. 9 out of 10 times you'll find out you actually love it now and won't know why your mind changed lol.
Couple of corrections: -Nobody actually calls Chan 'Daddy' or 'Daddy Chan' 💀really not sure why the person put that in -Chan came to Korea When he was 13, not 15 -Leeknow does not fully create choreography for Skz, He leads them in practice and may make small changes/additions to the choreo (danceracha as a whole also do this) Thanks for the reaction, looking forward to seeing the next part!!!
just a heads up! in korean, guys call older guys they are close with or brothers "hyung". you'll be hearing and reading about that in subs a lot, so yeah! it just means one of the guys is calling another older member.
Yes all of skz are just big old goods. For clarification danceracha helps with learning the choreo, and occasionally makes bits of choreo, i don't think they've ever fully made an all 8-member choreo, if anybody knows a full 8 member choreo they have made please let me know. Lee know is the dance leader his main job is to help the rest of skz learn the choreo and monitor them, all of skz do to each other if they see mistakes especially danceracha, but it is mainly lee know's job as he has the most experience with dancing predebut.
If I'm not mistaken, hellevator was choreographed by Lee know, that's what came up when I searched but I'm not sure, and the choreography for lose my breath wasn't done by dacerach it was assembled by them
Yeah, so Stray Kids is like the only K-Pop group Ive stuck with. Back in 2020, i listened to BTS, but then because of my ADHD, i stopped listening to them because it got boring (No offense to Army). Then i listened to Blackpink, the same thing happened (No offense to Blinks). It's because all of their songs have the same vibe. It's nothing personal to the groups. While Stray Kids tries to change it up. I have truly listened to Stray Kids for what feels like forever (even though it's only like a month and a half). I started listening to them last month in June. I had found a video of Felix singing a Korean nursery rhyme and i was like, "I've got to investigate" and now I'm a Stay. I will love Stray Kids music forever.
Of course Chan & Felix have great English, its their first language!!! In fact Felix was eliminated during the early competition, because he DIDN'T know Korean
Could you react to another group under the same label as Straykids? The name of the group is itzy!,and i think the best song for you to react on for the first time would be 'loco'.Btw love the reaction!.
