Thanks for covering the history of the server. The timeline project is just a visual representation of 2b2t. The history of the server into a single image. Not all details are there. 2b2t is much more than the Timeline and to find that out, you need to dig for the gaps of history and details that I couldn't fit in the image. This is also why it has caused controversy over time, along with other reasons. Regardless, I will continue the project and continue to improve it. Good video, Fit.

@@joeyknight8272 So each day in minecraft is 20 minutes...so you take that and multiply that to get how many minecraft days are in 24 hours (1 day in real life) then you multiply that by 365 days (1 year) then you multiply THAT by 9 (The 9 years that the server has been up)
2b2t has deeper and more interesting lore than most movies these days, you could write a fantasy story inspired by it. Also we are going to have to add the Etika war to that timeline.
If only I was older to make a book out of this here's a preview. "A long time ago on the oldest anarchy server a great history was made" then it cuts to some first person genre in the great decay I would make Tristan like a god.
Why am I so intrigued by this? It's crazy to think that a Minecraft server has such a deep, interesting history behind it. I hope that one day someone writes down the complete history (details and specific events included) about this server.
Yeah, someone did that with the SCP Foundation - How it began, where it started, all the feuds and changes over time. It's just amazing seeing these things completely fleshed out for people to read. I would dedicate entire afternoons to reading a complete history of 2b2t, if it ever happens.
I think it gives us a lot of insight on how humans tend to behave. A lot groups have risen and fallen over the course of human history, the same can be said about this server
you're being told a story by a xenophobic incursion member. the resistance was made only to protect new players from xenophobic veterans. we fly the star spangled banner to represent the freedom of anarchy, vive la resistance.
It's crazy how this almost reflects reality. People build communities, grow them into empires, only to be crumbled by others and mostly forgotten. This is taking a very philosophical turn, but it makes me think that the beauty of something great is not that it lasts forever and is known to all, but instead because it was witnessed by only a select few who hold a small piece of history as their own. Edit: Hell, there's even slavery and religions and advances in technology (think Baritone)
So I’m high asf and I got an ad right after he said “and then” for 2 large pizzas from dominos for 5.99 each. Idk why but I was pretty sure it was still part of the video, got confused, got hungry through the confusion. Im now waiting for 2 large pizzas.
@@Gwapo ..because.. it shows that humans are really resilient and can find a way to survive even in harsh conditions? personally i think that the issue with teaching history is that the storytelling aspect is left to the wayside in schools, which is a shame because that's, literally, what history is i mean come on it has 'story' in the word itself, for pete's sake
the surprising thing is that people still have MASSIVE citys live and well but its only known to the clan who rule it because they are scared and would you blame them? most people who find it gain the worth to become a clan member of the civilization founded there is alot of ingognito groups in theroy to be bigger than emporium (the biggest one known publicly) and that just goes to show how diffrent 2b2t is from most servers

I was born in September 26, 2006 in The Philippines, specifically Merle Homes, Marikina, Luzon. Merle Homes was a close-quartered neighborhood but it was a home for me. I couldn't remember a time or a date in that era but I still remembered a memory. I was undefed, in a state of malnutrition, lied in a stick basket while I was bawling my eyes out due to the severe condition. It was my grandparents, waiting for me to die and dissipate. But alas, I heard a phone call my grandparents were making. They were talking about adopters waiting for me to get taken away from me. I didn't bother them The finally arrived at the house and took me away.
The “age of unrest”- the lack of information known about it, the two major primordial groups, hell, even the days before language is created- is almost a perfect reflection of the early days of mankind. Edit: Even the “Great Decay” seemed like a representation of a mass extinction, with those who could not adapt going off.
2b2t reflects reality (Mostly Europe) Age of Unrest - The Dark Ages - Nobody recording anything The Great Decay - The Black Death - Everybody dies/leaves The Great Resurgence - The Renaissance Period - Everybody starts building, producing art, becoming prosperous Pre-Hype Period - Industrial Revolution - More people coming to work, more advanced stuff Age of Hype - World Wars - Everybody battling, not much time for much creativity
By comparing the 2b2t timeline with our own history, it shows us that a great Cold War awaits the server... I predict that by late 2019, everyone has been split into two major rivaling factions, and that all other factions have become irrelevant.
Not to mention the extreme advancements in communication that should come after (Internet, Smartphones, ETC.) and how their are now dozens of smaller nations that are protected by much bigger ones, which will probably translate in 2B2T as an increased use of RU-vid and Discord in communication which we are already seeing here and many small groups under the protection of groups such as The Vets and The Resistance or possibly even the 4th Reich. Some if not most events will most likely not happen during or after a specific event like in real history but events like these tend to repeat themselves so it is good to be prepared just in case.

The thing that pains me so much is only the fact that I hadn't found out about 2b2t sooner. Hot damn,was this a lot to take in. I feel like there are many,many small communities out there akin to this one that most people will simply never get to experience.
It's a bit cringe being what it is, but there's a very large and very under-represented Star Wars community hosted on Roblox. Hundreds maybe even thousands of "Sith" and "Jedi" orders have been founded to go to war with eachother. Some people even create families and document histories. I'd probably be embarrassed by it if I hadn't gotten involved when I was 9. There's a lot of weight put on veteran status. It's a surprisingly storied small community.

@@senorlechuga8832 Minecraft isn't managing servers of the players. So as long as the server host - in this case, HauserMaster - keeps the server up and running, it'll be okay.
You should do a video series going extremely in depth about each era/age (40-60min videos) I just found you channel and am very interested in the server 2b2t history. Maybe you could explain the different clans/factions of each era, bases, honorable people, etc...
A new age is coming, the 1.16 update will change everything, it will either bring a new stability to 2b2t, or bring forth an new age of chaos, and the cause?, netherite, the new most valuible material, stronger than diamond, rarer than diamond, this material might bring forth a new age sooner than expected....
... meteor comes into atmosphere to destroy a city but misses it and lands in another area making a giant crater, this meteor also carried an alien named: the visitor, the visitor sends a rocket too the city but it somehow teleports making a crack in the sky (also called the rift), the visitor was never seen again... suddenly the rift starts acting up making different things appear from the past and future, it takes someone from the real world named drift. Then the rift acts up again making a purple giant cube named... the cube...bit uncreative.. The cube starts moving around until it finally sinks into a lake making it purple, then the cube takes the island in the lake out of the lake and making it float and it's being powered by the cube, the cube eventually overpoweres and explodes, sending everyone to another dimension. Then suddenly, the a rift comes together and it makes a butterfly, the butterfly lands on the character your playing as and the lake gets recreated and fixed. Guess what game that timeline came from? No but seriously I'm tired of people jumping on the bandwagon, seriously, are you guys stupid? Just because kids play games doesnt make it horrible..it makes the fanbase crap but you can ignore them..

Ik its a joke and all, but the server has been running for 8 years and spawn is ~8k radius. If the world border is like 32m, it would take around 32 000 YEARS To reach world border Why am I doing maths in a joke comment?
KAYRUNJAAVICE You know what the worst thing is? Your maths are wrong, because the time would increase proportionally to the surface of spawn, not the radius. So if it takes 8 years for 8k radius = 64m*pi surface, for 32m^2 *pi surface it would take... I think 16m times longer, so 128 000 000 years to reach world border. That's pretty sick, 128m years ago there were still dinosaurs walking around here.
2b2t is more than a game or a server, we could start analysing filosofically or psychologically this and won't end in years. If the humanity could do irl whatever we what (literally) this would be the result. 2b2t is the true nature of human beings.
Missing history, relics of the past, factions rising and falling, and finally... Making a legacy that will put your name in the timeline and may very well be responsible for the future of generations.. My god does this sound awesome
Stories to tell your grand children "when I was 19 I fought for something beautiful, nowadays it's forgotten history but I was there the day it ended, I'm talking about 2 builders 2 tools yes I was there since the age of resurgence and fought well along side brave warriors fighting for the good of the land, some people came back, others were left behind and at the end I cried tears of joy and happiness but also of sadness, it was the end of and era and we all went different ways I still have some photos of the great battles" sorry I got carried away ...

I remember first hearing about this server because of thecampingrusher. Man was that an exciting time to be on the minecraft train. So much nostalgia watching both you and him battle it out. This server will forever be an amazing piece of minecraft history
@@thefrogzilla2 Wasn't really a arms race. Just some players using Hauses account GeorgeBush420 to spawn in illegal items like 32K weapons which were then banned by hause once he find out the true extent of it.

@@mariophreak I joined late 2010 me and a few friends form a forum jumped on the server to try and see what all of the rage was about. We logged on and there was nothing left but mobs and a huge hole in the ground me and a couple other face punch users tried to escape the desolate waste land we travelled for what seemed like ages but we eventually came onto a large open field full of grass. I saw a massive building that looked like a fort (it was) I later found out it was face punches small temp HQ pretty much a massive underground cave system fit to our needs there was all sorts of cool stuff in there chests upon chests filled up from precious ores and tools to last one player a life time. we all geared up and braved the out side we seen a few other players just destroying the world. im going to have to leave it hear for now I will be back very soon to finish it (I'm nowhere near finishing) its just very late
I love the editing and story. Its amazing how one server in a game can create history deeper and more interesting than a few countries in the world. The wonders of Minecraft never ceases to amaze me.
There was hackers in medieval ages, they were called crossbowmen, the could defeat a trained knight without having to train for more than a day or two, they even got banned from the pvp servers at the time

Given that it's now January and I'm logging on for the first time as I type this, I really can't wait for the next one. I've watched a lot of your videos on 2b and I believe that this is honestly the pinnacle of all MC servers. There will never be another 2b2t.
I was there in 2016 to watch Campingrusher post that video. I couldn’t help but thinking “wow. This is fascinating, but it must have had a major impact on the server”. Maybe he could have tried to not leak it, and it would have stayed anonymous for maybe 3 hours-3 days before it was leaked?
I play on minecraft on my xbox and dont watch too many minecraft videos. I was bored on face book and saw his videos about 3 major building that got greifed and the furnace trap. I realised how much must of happend and now im watching this video. It really fascinates me how it has actually grown like a real life society. From communication to documentation. With how easy it is to build it is like real life if we were also able to progress as fast as u can in Minecraft. Its really amazing

This server is what Notch intended for Minecraft Multiplayer... But instead the players chose to go down a “Family Friendly” route... 2B2T is the very definition of a true server, something that will never be achieved again
This is truly insane. It’s like real life - digging for unknown past times, how it’s lost as the server goes along, wars, evolution of technology, eras, rising and falling groups, bias in the retelling of history, it all mirrors humanity and its histories exactly. Minecraft anarchy is one of the most compelling experiences in humanity’s ultimate path through history.
