@@OscarDirlwood Nah. Fallout 4 is amazing. New Vegas is a classic in my opinion though and what you enjoy in a game will sway your stance on what game is better. I don't think either one is better, they are quite different. Both are addicting and the settlement/building system in Fallout 4 is great. Having a trophy room and rooms to show off your spoils of battle is great. Power armor room? A must have.

Not to be rude but I could barely read the timeline so maybe next time you could size it up a bit? Again not trying to sound rude just trying to give feedback
"The worst impulses of mankind, concentrated in one insane, backward tribe. The Brotherhood seems to have formed not long after the great atomic war. It's hard to know - they care little for history. Some of the Brotherhood Scribes we captured further east didn't even know the name of their founder, Rodger Maxson. They like to pretty up their missions with chivalry, but the truth is they're hoarders. They horde technology. It's been 200 years and they still have the mentality of scavengers. They say they're preserving technologies, but for what? They have no vision. They offer no future. They're a dead end." - Caesar

The Brotherhood lived on when their Elders died. 2. Read the loading screen: _"Though their power in the west has diminished greatly over the years, the Brotherhood of Steel still maintains hidden, heavily fortified bunkers throughout the Mojave."_ so the "Hidden Valley" chapter is not the entire Western Brotherhood. That is obvious in context from the game, too.
Shouldn’t the Sole Survivor know the name Maxson? If Roger Maxson disbanded from the Army before the War and announced it via radio, then there should be dialogue from the Sole Survivor stating that he knows the name Maxson, upon hearing about Elder Maxson.
During the last week before the Great War, Nate was a veteran, OUTSIDE of the army ranks, back at home and it was only known that he participated in the battle of Anchorage. Roger Maxson was serving in the West Coast and the radio broadcast was only sent to the USA army, AFTER Nate was back at home.
Tom Barlow did you play the game? The Sole Survivor actually remembers shit like the the Silver Shroud, his military rank and history, people like John-Caleb Bradberton in Nuka Wolrd, etc. It’s not that much of a stretch if he heard of Rodger Maxson or met him before.
Option a: recruit more people Option b: limit ourselves and risk extinction Option c: recruit outsiders with the warning that they will be watched closely for a time before their chapter grows less cautious
Pretty sure the brotherhood choose A the new fallout show indicates the western brotherhood has chosen to recruit outsiders and they have a replica of the prydwen. It’s called casswen. They also have new recruits in the trailer as well. Eastern Brotherhood also chose option A. The Brotherhood is becoming a very powerful organization.
I mean, yes, because both are based on the same idea: "Knights in a dark future". So that leads to them necessarily following some similar "knightly" tropes. But in other areas, they're also very different. Thinking about how isolationist and reluctant to get into things the Lost Hills Brotherhood was - and far more egalitarian than a Space Marine chapter would be. Importantly, there's also the spiritual component of Space Marines which is not quite as prominent in the BOS, replacing much of it with science. No-one in the Brotherhood would care (that much) about "wielding the ancient laser pistol of the Holy St. Maxson". They would probably prefer an updated, maintained, modern variant. Because it's not a holy relic, it's just a tool, or at best a neat reminder of the past.
Brotherhood of Steel: *trying to restrict technology usage across wasteland* Literally any Fallout protagonist: *Have enough energy weapons to arm a settlement* Some crack junkies in Vault 3: *Use energy weapons widely* New Vegas Van Graffs: *Literally sell energy weapons on public* Good job Brotherhood, good job
How do you expect the BoS to be able to confiscate literally every single energy weapon? Also, there's literally a quest where they send you to deal with Van Graffs, so...
I noticed that you closed the video by referring to the player character as Paladin, but if you finish FO4 with the BoS, the you are granted the rank of Sentinel. Otherwise, really enjoyed the video.
There was a number of other lore problems with the video, 1. The brotherhood dont send you to mariposa as a test (which is what the video said l) they send you to west tek research facility 2. She said deathclaw and shown a picture of a mirelurk
Pretty good video wish there was more about the Pittsburgh faction..... Also, the brotherhood east coast seems to have learned their lesson about recruits. The alliance with the minutemen seems the most likely outcome of the commonwealth even though Aurthur is kind of a tool.... I am glad the west coast group lived on yet the information about them is so limited....
Main issue I see is that The Master wasn't in Mariposa during the events of Fallout 1. He was moved to the LA Vault underneath The Chapel by that time. I'm severely late to the party, but still.
Holy Christ, the inaccuracies in this leave me dumbfounded. If you guys want to get this stuff right, just read the wiki. Otherwise, this is just garbage. I'll leave it at that.
I have to say, Sydney did very well, on describing all this, btw, I am writing and putting together tons on storyline for A possible Fallout 5 to jump start Another Fallout in this series and I’ll be putting together another RU-vid Channel up, just for that content!!!! If I submit this to Bethesda and they see what I have put together for all you wastelanders out there, then this will pledge to become one of the biggest wars, in the entire Fallout series and with my two, yes Two Maps, for just one game, in the series!!!!! This new Location for this story will pan out to be one of the greatest Fallouts, one because It has The Karma System, of New Vegas, but that will only be for The Toronto Canada map location!!!! Now The main and first start of the Game will begin in Chicago Illinois and you are once again A vault dweller, in The beginning, you leave the vault to work for The Faction called the Industry!!!! The Largest know Sector in Chicago, leaving your Vault home, to Make better trades, for all your fellow Vault Dwellers, later in this part of the game is where The opening of settlement building comes to play, but, more as A Trading post, not far from your Vault !!!!! I believe it will be Vault 82, more then 20 Factions, to deal with, some new creatures, New and Old Factions will be found along your way, as you travel, some form of new transportation will be included, I can’t wait to get this all completed!!!! to see All of The Fallout Universe dwell, In this New and Adventurous Game !!!!!!!!
I wonder if the Scorchbeast Queen and the other Scorchbeast gassed them or something. Or unless they just moved out of the Appalachia. Either way, we’ll find out whenever the NPCs are released and the Vaults open up.
Brother hood of steel report : when we arrived to West Virginia we were met with an area truly affected by the nukes massive drops of frames around towns and what was first thought to be radiation was only the sun rays coming from the ground . After putting down that worry we search further into towns to find resources we were met with a strange creature it seem to be taking the shape of a t literally a t i know the rookies flipped out at the end we had found a massive numbers of survivors wear either a party hat or power armors or a vault 76 suit waving at each other like they were at nuka world honestly this places was not what we were promised last time we listen to that vault tec sales man . Also come on guys the order of the duffel bags were to put trash not for the mission we were dropping on This has been a complete report for now more to come as we progress to the areas of West Virginia .
I wonder if there was a second reason for the Brotherhood to come to the Commonwealth. Looking at the design of the Prydwen, they couldn't have had more than a half dozen Vertibirds -- not without keeping some in flight all the time. We clearly don't see more than an handful when they initially appear. But during game play you see a LOT of Vertibirds go down. If you oppose the Brotherhood, this goes up even more. I've counted in one game 17 vertibirds downed BEFORE end game anti-Castle battles. WHERE did they come from? Its not like they could have carried parts enough aboard the Prydwen to build a dozen or more Vertibirds upon arrival. What if the Vertibirds were already IN the Commonwealth? They knew of a hidden warehouse of parts, a factory or a hangar of Vertibirds existing in the Commonwealth and wanted to take possession of it. The Institute was a bonus reason, doubly justifying the trip into hostile territory. If they truly believed in the superiority of their air fleet, increasing fleet size would be necessary. Perhaps this is something Danse's group discovered?
There were vertibirds in the commonwealth, as you can easily see dozens of them throughout the game even before the Prydwen shows up, however Vertibirds are all over America due to their usefulness to the pre-war military. The BoS wouldnt have gone to Boston just for the vertibirds, as they could just of easily found some closer to the capital.
