I'm having a hell of a hard time updating the games. It makes no sense. How do you get to that update page in discord that he's showing at 8:13. Does anyone has a direct link to that page? That link that he has takes you nowhere. If he can possibly update that link and provide a link takes you directly there to the RPCS3 update page.
Alright i'm gonna reply myself. Forget it, i figure it out how to do it. I guess he assume that he or her already knows how to mess with discord but I've never had Discord before today and didn't have a clue how to get anything done in there. I actually google it and somebody had a complete tutorial of how to get discord up and running and pretty much how to get RPCS3 updates
Emulating the PS3 requires some VERY advanced programing skills . It is a VERY under appreciated ability ( I would even dare say Art / Craft ) . I cannot understand why people are not AMAZED when seeing progress in this area of computer science. Over the years I think about the advancements made in emulating the PS3 and I am like ... OMG !!! Such a shame that it is sooooo UNDER rated ... Improvements could have been part of a PhD thesis , but the academic community frown upon such practices due to their arrogance and " intellectual purism " .
I know right? I've been trying to be a programmer for over 3 years now, and the level of commitment for projects like this is surreal, I just wish I knew more C++ to the point of being able to program on RPCS3
@@nikadsf670 Trying is admirable. Not trying is an easy excuse. I honestly believe that we have our own unique talent somewhere. In some things we are good, in other things very good and ... our life is in some ways the journey of finding what we excel at. And if you do not try to learn eg programming , how will you ever find out if it is your unique talent ? Moreover if programming is not your unique talent then how can you appreciate those who have made emulation of PS3 something achievable ? I admire all who try out new things and as a result admire the work of others . I personally admire all those behind console emulation ( PS3 , XBOX 1 ) as it is quite a daunting task !!
@@sniper9961 That just proves how AMAZING these people are !! It takes real guts to put so much effort in something while not being payed and not getting any attention from eg academics . These guys have so much passion for what they are doing . They work hard because they believe in what they are doing ! So it is neither about Fame NOR Money !! Moreover... This is not just about playing PS3 games ( or any console games ) . Academic Institutions should have been teaching the techniques used. I have done basic coding. It is as much as a hard science as much as imagination / creativity . You cannot be a good programer if you do not have a creative / imaginative mind . It is similar to playing chess ( another topic that I love ) .
Okay great, Im on the discord now. Any idea how to get that Discord Update Command .txt Notepad? Literally asking everybody in discord. They all ignore me , while getting their game updates lol. Google does no help, so is it a command that brings it up? I see you have it on your desktop? is it a APP from Microsoft store or what?????????????????????????????????????
How to play on this PS3 emulator! Step 1: Get a better CPU. 😭 Learned this the hard way with Sonic Unleashed. I'm aware it's not fully "playable" yet, but even though I was able to fully beat the game with only 3 crashes on this thing, the FPS lowered to the 15-20 range at points. Currently waiting for my i9 in the mail.
I have troubles with Red Dead Redemption it wont finished loading at exodus in America game use to work on older versions ps3 emul but was very laggy I have I7 8700 16 GB ram GTX 1050
I'm stuck on the installation part; every time I click "rpcs3" its keeps telling me "The code execution can't proceed because Qt5Widgets.dll was not found, reinstalling program may fix this problem" & still hasn't changed
Dont know if this emu has changed but last time i installed it and the games run like shit, i have a nice gpu but what this guy doesn't mention is that the rspcs games performance is mostly based on the cpu, so if you have less than a 6 core cpu forget it all games will not work properly.
rpcs3 utilizes threading very well....So even if you have 4 physical cores but 8 with hyperthreading, you'll be alright. my 6700k at 4.8ghz works well enough.
I have tried at this point all the possible settings I can do, but still can't get God of War 3 to boot up even once. @@angelofechter5666 You probably rushed the game I needed 42 hours to finish the game. Yes you can finish the main story in 15 hours if you rush but the point of a RPG is tale your time and enjoy your ride. Even the side quests aren't that bad many of which included important characters you know from main story quests coming back in side story quests.
@@angelofechter5666 Yes and this was intentional. The game story should be fluid and is up to you if you want rush it in 15 hours or enjoy the game and stretch it to 30 or 40 hours. I think this is a BETTER concept. You see so often people who say: I think I would love Witcher 3 or Persona games but then they hear those games are 80-100 hours long and they don't have enough time invest so much into one game only. So I think the concept of giving you a fast way to finish the main story and a longer way is really well made in my opinion. You also hear so often Cyberpunk is a GTA game NO. Cyberpunk is 100% a RPG in is core you have: Leveling up mechanics, you have a skill tree, you have body modification upgrades, you have gun upgrades you have items to upgrade your equipment, you have clothes and accessories, you have full body skins, you have own cars is not like in GTA that you steal cars you have own cars and own bikes... You buy them you own them you call them... Is a pure RPG game it makes me sick when people compare GTA 5 to Cyberpunk I don't say you do that but most people do.
Hi to everyone reading this! I need help. When I try opening up rpcs3.exe it’s ends up saying that vulkan-1.dll was not found. Is there any where’s to fix this? And yes, I did try and reinstall the program. I don’t know what to do at this point

For games like Persona 5, Demon's Souls, and others it is enough (the playable games on compatibility list). But games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, God of War 3, and MGS4 it needs a beefy cpu and those games are not fully playable yet.

That's the issue with your GPU which don't support Vulkan. Sometimes, there's a bit of conflict when Windows inadvertently installs wrong GPU driver and your GPU thinks it's working until you see the GPU-Z info otherwise.

Their support & forums have given no answer, so I'll ask here: I click on rpcs3.exe, and nothing happens. It's only listed in the task manager as a background process. When I close it from there and try to run it again, I always get the same result. A previous version I was using worked fine. I'm running: Windows 10 RTX 1060 i7-4770K @ 3.5Ghz 32gb RAM Any help???
I got a question, every time I select Vulkan in my GPU settings the system always crashes and leaves an error message, Unhandled Win32 exception? My FPS is wicked low and I can't play games without lagging. I have an Intel(R) Core (TM) i7, 8GB with HD graphics 620 cause I am only using my laptop I hope anybody here can help me. TIA
Just swapped my AMD rx 480 with an Nvidia rtx 3060ti, and games won't boot. I lack vulkan api in gpu configuration (why?), a message tells me that the game boots correctly, but no window with the game running shows up. What's wrong?
in the last of us the sceen is locked into COMPILING SHADERS, my CPU is 100% load and it takes lot of time without nothing ? (i have RTX3080 + 10900KF) thanks
Love the voice love the help very great at explaining and taking the patience explaining these settings to visitors and fans. Ive been watching alot of your videos after this urge to burn sometime and look over how emulation along with Cemu was doing... I was a patron to them for a long while...Will support them again later. I actually subbed today to your channel it was a great move with all the help that is offered and played last of US for the first time without a crash and paused it and even kept it going while i hid in a good spot and no crash.... That was wild and I've been so happy with RPCS3 EMU!!! :) Anyway you do a great job with explaining as a whole and We as fans will always drop a like comment and subscribe to here and want to see more videos from ya!!! Any one els struggle to run Shadow of colossus? Dosnt matter what I do or what patch I use i getting bearly 1fps at intro and freezing... I try it to run from ICO and shadow of colossus classic HD.. Should I get stand alone version? Could that be the problem?

Great to see RPCS3 advancing so much. Even on my lowly fx 6300 I had a lot of fun playing exclusives like odin's sphere, dragons crown and VF5. and that was a year ago, I guess performance should be better now. My advice for anyone with low end HW is try 2d games first. You may be surprised by the performance you are getting. As an example odin's sphere remaster runs better on the ps3 emulator than on ps2
Can confirm. My poor Ryzen 3200U with Vega 3 APU can run Odin Sphere with stable 60fps on native resolution. Just make sure to use SPU Threads to 1 since I limit the CPU power to around 80%. Other than that, there is no need to change anything at all.
once ive downloaded this emulator and done all the file firmware stuff, it says i cant even open it cause it needs another file to open it thats just not there. ive redownloaded it 3 times and still no luck, any help?

Just cant seem to get it to work properly. Silent hill HD collection wont go past the menu screen. And I can only run a game after I restart my PC. Once i close a game out I need to restart the PC all over again to be able to play a game.

HELP PLEASE I've tried to play Red Dead Redemption but it's just a slideshow of about 2fps. 4790K 4.8Ghz GTX 1070 16GB 2400MHZ DDR3 My gpu usage is only about 6% and all my settings seem correct so not sure what the problem is? Any help would be much appreciated
