Such a fun listen. Makes me wanna just drive the route in one go and say I’ve done it. No records, no crazy mods to the car. But no stopping for hotels or restaurants.
Working on these historic runs and finding times lost to history has been extremely fun. Watching these runs go from a massive embarkment of human accomplishment and a fear of endurance taking months, down to just over a day of modern time runs is extraordinary. These amazing runs are history.
A very well made video with good mix of stories about the runs and the facts about them. I’m curious what was the advancement in car technology in this era that made the most significant time difference. Was it the reliability or the fuel efficiency or just the increase in horsepower.
